The selection and presentation of merchandise is excellent. I was impressed that Maria in painting was willing to go search for more supply of an item that was no longer on the self. There is plenty of parking in the private lot. Handicapped parking and contingencies are present. Restrooms are clean and spacious. The products are varied, good quality, and well presented. Then she took a few moments and explained our different options (blackout vs. light filtering, etc.). She allowed us to make our own decision and then cut the shade for us. I ordered a delivery from the store that was only 9 items. 2 were pieces of plywood. Both pieces were delivered damaged. This wasn't a case that the delivery person damaged the items. This is a case of poor quality control by the person who picked the order and the person who oversees the orders being picked. This wasn't a bulk job site delivery. This was a residential order of a couple of sheets of plywood a door and some small odds and ends. The finish plywood ordered was delaminating and the other piece looked like it was speared with the forklift and was broken. When I called to get the situation rectified around noon they told me they would call back. 5 hours later no call and I had to call back and sit on hold between talking to people for over 30 minutes. I rented a Dingo for some landscaping work. The price was fine. The staff was great. I rented it for 24 hours and it died at about 7 that night. Fresh fuel etc. but wouldn't start so I couldn't finish the job. A serviceman came out the next morning. Great guy. He found a clogged fuel filter so he changed it. It ran briefly until I put in another bucket of gravel. It started dying out again -wouldn't even idle. I finally said screw it. It was all I could do to get it back on the trailer. I explained all this on return but they would not honor the fact that I got only 10 hours out of the rental (when it ran) -not the 24 hours I paid for. So $400 for less than half the rental time. I probably won't rent there again. read more

Very poor delivery service . Home Depot did not honor their commitment to set up and test appliances. Home Depot outsources delivery to a third party in Norton, MA called Spirit logistics. Spirit claims not to know about Home Depot's delivery obligation. Never heard of the attached promise. Spirit did not resolve the issue for us. Claimed their delivery men were not within their control. Home Depot customer service was difficult to get through to. Once connected with them, Home Depot claimed delivery was NOT their responsibility since it was outsourced even though they provide you written assurance to the contrary at the time of sale. So classic case of big company taking your order and money with claims of great customer service-then falling down and giving the customer the run around. Nice! read more

I went to the Mansfield Home Depot to purchase a number of items. Needing help with one of them I asked an associate if you could find me some assistance. He said he would be glad to and walked away. 20 minutes later no one came to assist me. At that point I walked up to the service desk in the original associate that I asked for help was standing by the front door doing nothing. The lady at the customer service desk offered to find someone to help me. When she did, he was busy and I waited another 20 minutes before I walked out of the store without purchasing anyting. Apparently only one person in the entire store can cut up blinds. Maybe they need to train somebody else to do simple job. As the manager of this store I would be a very ashamed of my sales associates. I went to Lowes for the same products bought them and was out of the store in less than 20 minutes I dropped almost $800 that could have gone to Home Depot. Apparently this store is not interested in serving its customers. This was not my first trip to this Mansfield Home Depot but you can be sure it was my last. I wasted 45 minutes of my life, for no reason , in that store. Shame on them. read more

Home Depot in Mansfield has some MAJOR work to do. Only a few years ago, Mansfield Crossing was built a half-a-mile away on School Street. Before that, this was the largest, and really only good shopping center in Mansfield. Home Depot served as the leading hardware store in the area, and is now going down the tubes. Since the new shopping center, it seems business increased their and went down in this plaza, and less people have been at this Home Depot. The store seems old, rustic, and just wanting to be updated and cleaned up. Staff by department are normally ok, but cashiers always have an attitude and aren't ever friendly. Overall, I just prefer shopping in the Norwood Home Depot. No problems there! read more

Just went through a 2 day ordeal trying to get carpet installed. It was a simple room, no rush. It took about 6 weeks just to get the carpet in and scheduled (nothing special about the carpet). The biggest problem was US Installations...what a fiasco. First, they don't tell you when they are coming until the morning of install. So they call me at 8:30 to say they will be there between 12 - 3. Of course, if they told me that the night before, I would have gone to work in the morning. So now I wait...2:30 I get a call...they are tied up, it will be closer to 4:30. 5:30 they call...maybe by 7...but the office is closing for the day. I start emailing the manager...he's working on it...maybe 8. Then he says, we will schedule a different day - this was my living room, I had already moved all the furniture, can barely walk around the house. I tell him they need to be there at 8 am (Saturday), he says ok. 8:30 I contact the District manager (he knew my name). He's working on it...the other manager will not answer me. They show up at 9:30 done by 11. So...they ruin my Friday, my Friday night plans, and my Saturday morning. read more

I was extremely impressed with my experience at the Mansfield Home Depot - impressed that any single company could employ THAT many apathetic human beings. The majority of interactions with their employees consisted of me asking a question and them making some unintelligible grunting noise while shrugging and walking away. My main complaint is with the tool rental department. We kept renting tools that did not work and needed to be returned - which took up hours of our day and we did not even receive a simple apology from the employees in that department. They'd just shrug and say "that's all we have" as they continued with their vacant thousand mile stare into nothingness. I came back with a shop vacuum that not only didn't work, but promptly started shooting our sparks as soon as it was plugged in (obviously not what you want happening in your new house full of highly flammable paint supplies.) When I told the employee this he didn't say a word and just walked over to his computer and started typing away for close to 10 minutes before returning with a return slip, which he could not figure out. I would be completely shocked if any of the employees there were capable of showing even the slightest emotion. I have found myself driving the extra distance to Lowe's because the store is cleaner and the employees are far more helpful. *In fairness to the above review, we did find the cashiers and person behind the paint counter to be very helpful. read more

What ever you do don't rent anything from this place. Twice now we have tried and each time the piece of equipment didn't work. The worst part of all this- when bringing the rental back the apparent manager gave a huge attitude as if I was bothering her. Sorry I made you do your job for a few minutes. Would it kill you to have a tad bit of compassion for a customer who burned his entire Saturday morning basically just transporting a broken rental around. read more

For all special orders, there have always been problems, whether it's the delivery turn around time or the overall product accuracy. There is dramatic room for improvement for Home Depot as a company, not specific to this location. The GM, Joe M. (should be promoted for his direct involvement in knowing his frequent customers and handling customer challenges) and employees have been resoundingly great trying to remedy these situations. For orders off the shelves, it's a much different experience. Most of the seasoned associates are terrific and have great knowledge in the products and even able to advise on the best way to handle a do it yourself project. I have communicated my thoughts to the store directly, however, I wanted to share my comments in hopes that whether it is positive feedback or opportunity to improve feedback, Home Depot Corporate reads what their consumers experience and think. I hope they continue to do those things right and improve upon those they dont do well. Overall, HD has a ways to go to improve their special orders including the higher than usual pricing for these orders, however, their in store products and service is absolutely terrific. thanks guys and gals. read more

Let's face it, times are tough during covid. This place has done an outstanding job in standing up to tough times during the whole ordeal of keeping up with orders, making sure the shelves are stocked with as much as they can put up, sanitizing the contact surfaces and just overall general customer service, being extremely tough to keep customers happy at this point in time. Retail being a tough field to navigate at the best of times we all should be a little more understanding that sometimes things don't fall under the direct blame of the employees that work here and sometimes a little more patience is required to get the job done. I for one will continue to shop here as I enjoy the crew members that work here, I've never gone wrong with anything that I've purchased here and if there is something wrong they do the best they can to rectify the wrong. Called this home depot three times but the each time I kept getting transferred around without common courtesy and the guy that answered the phone did not speak English that I could understand ( He spoke broken Kings English). I was trying to make a $500 plus investment in fencing but I guess that's too little for this store (I still purchase from Home Depot but not at this store!). I will say this store is the exception to the rule in service because most Home Depot stores are excellent in regards to customer service. The tragedy for this store is they may be driving clients to Loews if they are not loyal customers like me. Management I would suggest you get the customer service fixed in this store before more clients go to Loews. If you are reading this review then look at the other reviews on Google. Don't bother with online pickup at Home Depot if two experiences are any bellwether. First problem came with notice of my delivery of a traverse rod that would accommodate a 90" window. When I went to pick it up, the line was exceedingly long. Apparently they could not find the order of a customer at the head of the line (This should have been recognized as the omen it was.). After a 20 minute wait, it was my turn. They took some time looking for my order and then came back with the package that had a 30 degree bend and attempted to hand it to me. I insisted that they take the rod out of the package because it was going to be bent and therefore useless. They did so and it WAS bent. I reordered. "You're in luck. They won't charge you for shipping the reorder", said the clueless rep, as if there would normally be a charge for inconveniencing me! Fast forward to 10 days later when I get a notice to pick up my reordered traverse rod. No line this time but I was premature to be hopeful. They could not find a record of my order using my name so I suggested they use the handy dandy number that came with my notice. Voila! Wait, not so fast. The rep could not figure out where they put my order. After spending an inordinate amount of time at the computer screen, he finally sought help. The helper told him where to look but he came back empty handed. At this point it was 20 minutes in. "I have an elderly mother sitting in a hot car. How much longer is this going to take?", I said. "It's here, I just have to figure out where they put it". He left and went to look in receiving. He returned and looked in the first storage area again. Then he went back to the back of the store and asked a colleague to "talk to this lady" while he looked. When 35 minutes had passed, I cancelled the order. Mom was okay. The only thing that went right in this two-week display of incompetence. Lessons for Home Depot: 1. When an order comes in from a drapery company and has a 30 degree bend in a beat up box, inspect the order before you have the customer come down to pick it up. 2. When the customer is before you, don't even try to hand off a damaged package. Anticipate that you might be setting up an unwanted return visit. 3. Don't tell the inconvenienced customer she is lucky. 4. Don't lose an order. 5. Don't string a customer along when you have no clue what to do next. Apologize, offer to call when you locate the lost order and offer a discount. I hope to do better at Lowe's. read more

I've been coming to the Home Depot store in Mansfield, Mass. for the past 9 months. I could go to South Attleboro, Mass. but I feel the service is much better in Mansfield. The staff have gone out of there way to help me every time I'm there. Last time I was in the Mansfield store was on 07/17/17, and staff interacted with each other by radio to help me find an item. I cannot believe the lack of service in this store. Trying to purchase a new washer and could barely get any service. When. I finally did, the associate would answer a question then disappear. When I could finally locate her, she was having a conversation with another associate about shrink wrapping pallets as I stood there for about 2 minutes waiting for assistance. After this time watching the two of them solve the pallet problems, she then says to me "are you ready to make a purchase"? Really? You are not here to answer any questions in regards to me spending 600.00, but I'm I ready to make a purchase. My regards to the store manager. Your store just lost this much in revenue, because shrinking pallets came first! Best of luck making your numbers in the coming months. What a waste of potential business! read more

I frequent Home Depot stores quite often so when they announced that HD was coming to Mansfield (I live in Mansfield) I was thrilled. However over the years I have grown to expect less of this store than most HD locations. I'm not certain if this store is smaller than most but I frequently find myself traveling to other locations because they don't carry or are out of an item. The people that work there are friendly and helpful but the buyer for this store should be rotated to another facility to see what they need to purchase. Comparatively speaking, the store in Norwood carries a much broader selection of stock and generally has what you need when you need it. I can't buy something if you don't have it. read more

We are redoing bathroom and have had a number of returns and exchanges. The customer service desk has to be one of the worst we have experienced. Bought carpet here because of their one week installation "guarantee". The day before the installation we ripped up the carpet on our living room and stairs and on installation day they said they could not find our living room carpet. This was 5 days after we paid and we had to live with a plywood downstairs for 5 more business days. When we asked HD for a little compensation they attempted to put the blame on us and after hours wasted with corporate they only offered us a $50 gift card. Lowes is a more inconvenient trip for me but after all the business I've offered HD over the years, receiving this kind of disrespect is not acceptable and I will not be returning ever again. read more

Very very very disappointed with Home Depot Mansfield. We put in a special order for bathroom furnitures (vanity, cabinet, mirror) and was informed it will take 21 days. Half way before the 21 days was up, we called to check if it is still scheduled to arrive on time- we were told yes. Now, two days before the scheduled delivery, we got a call that the furniture is delayed because the fax sent by Home Depot was never received by the manufacturer. While the store said it is sorry, they said there is nothing they can do. Really? There is obviously a big gap in your process if you don't confirm special orders with your manufacturers. And how come days before the scheduled delivery, we were told, it was still on track? When you make a commitment for delivery, understand that your customers rely on that commitment, especially when contractors are involved. Home Depot obviously dropped the ball on this one, but is not taking enough initiativeto remedy it. Is this really how you treat your customers? read more
