Finally have some time to talk about this scenario. Long story short am I the only person who gets: ignored in the paint Dept, left with no insight on product, gets an attitude from the workers in the paint Dept like I owe them something and is unable to get an answer when I ask anything? I bought paint and painted one of the rooms in my home, I asked for the right paint for interior painting in a bedroom! The sales associate in the paint Dept stared at me like I worked there and should know by now... he sold me some paint, I painted and then.... My brother came over to visit.. he couldn't stop laughing at the fact that I used the wrong paint... it's glossy he said... that's right my bedroom is glossy and looks like a kitchen... and here I was admiring my work. This happened back in 2020, I still wanted to share the anxiety I have when approaching the paint counter.. Home Depot please hire people that: like their job, are knowledgeable about what they do and can handle their stress levels at work. Absolutely unprofessional staff. I dropped something inside the store. I went back to get it but it was 9:56. Pm. They closed all doors even though closing time is 10 pm which is I'm fine with. The staff with grey hair at the exit door refused to even hear me out. He gave me his back. I started knocking and they were laughing from inside at me. For the most part I now shop on line and have it delivered. This store has gone completely downhill, whether it be no place to park because the fruit vendors, immigrants looking for work standing around, carts left in parking stalls. Employees attitudes used to be helpful and friendly. Now you cant find one to help if needed. I asked about why the fruit vendors were allowed on Home Depot property, the employee told me that there is nothing they can do and nothing Orange PD will do. The immigrant he said is just trying to make some money. Wow. The store on Katella is as bad or worse. North Tustin HD is surrounded by subsidized housing and immigrant problems. I should have stayed away seeing the security signs and lights. Not only has America gone down the Toilet, makes sense that Home Depot is too. read more

This is probably my favorite Home Depot location. When we were here a couple of weekends ago, we found almost everything we needed, and the employees were really friendly and helpful here too. We came here to fix a few things around our house, and my son needed the last remaining items for his science fair project. Right away we found some pots and a beautiful indoor plant for the house. Next, we tried to find the items we needed for my son's project. When we struggled to find one of the items, a sales associate helped us find what we needed. What was so nice was that it wasn't even his department, and he showed us what we needed anyway. As we walked up to the front register, we also found some red and white roses. They may not have lasted long, but they were beautiful while they lasted. This is a great location, and I'm so glad we found most of what we needed here. I think the wonderful service will make this store one of my favorite Home Depot locations! read more

*update* I don't like coming here, its super boring for me. I'd rather wait in the car and take a nap. But, you know who loves coming here? My dog. She loves it here. She loves the way everything smells. Now you ask why would I bring my dog here? Am I one of those people who take their dog everywhere? You betcha bottom dollar I am. She behaves better than most humans behave. Not once has she had a issue here. She's not the only dog I've seen here either. A lot of peeps bring their furry friends. Anyway. The Mister sends us here quite often for supplies. Usually for simple things.... You know duct tape, zip ties, lock sets, keys, shop towels, velcro, batteries. Don't get all excited for us. These things are for maitanence/work. Not all that Christian Grey stuff. My recent trip was for some paint. They have a huge selection and can custom blend any color. Those paint sticks used for stirring are free. I just can't help myself when I carry those around. I always end up smacking the mister with one. Yes I'm very immature while shopping. I have to touch everything. My only complaint is staff is not always available for help. I can wander around looking for assistance and nobody is there. The hours here are early. They sell a lot of random items from cleaning supplies, batteries, candy, drinks, gift cards, ect. Some items are more pricey than other stores in the area. Plenty of parking. Zero issues finding parking. I promise that!! If you have kids I think they do free workshops here once a month for them. read more

Sometimes when I go into a HD i have to chase down someone to help me. Today we went in to buy a microwave and Shay let us look around before asking us if we needed assistance. She was very helpful with all the comparison information and the brand differences. She offered to print out info for us, and assured us many times there was no pressure to buy. She was very knowledgeable , courteous , professional, and kind. She assisted us in the purchase and even scheduled a delivery for us. I'll just say that I've been to this Home Depot location more than a dozen times in the last two years and every single time it is such a disappointment. The fact that you can ask for some obscure item and they tell you "aisle 10, half way down on the left, look at the 2nd lowest shelf". Seriously - do they take a quiz every morning to learn this stuff? It's amazing. The fact that they cut wood for you is also wonderful. I don't have the need to purchase a major saw as I don't build that much, but when I'm in the mood for a little home repair, it's nice that I can head down there with my measures and get exactly what I need. Been having issues with location for a while. But, I figured I'd give them a shot. I've been giving them my money for over 20 years on and off. Today I went in for 6' of biodegradable rope and planed on buying a decent chop saw after. I asked for help from a very nice lady wearing a white sweatshirt and heard her reach out to get me help(she deserves her job and was very nice). However, I waited 10 mins and asked for assistance again from another employee... no one ever came to help, 20 mins wasted. The employees are more concerned about talking to each other and hitting on fellow employees. I'll never return to purchase, ill only go there to disorganized the store. There is ace hardware, McFadden and Ganahl Lumber close enough to avoid this hell hole of BS employees. Ugh, I'm not sure if I should blame Home Depot or Rubbermaid!! I had to run around to three different Home Depot's because according the them, they can't place the order in the store for my Big Max shed. I was trying to purchase a Rubbermaid Big Max shed however Home Depot would not place the order for me. Home Depot in Orange sent me to Huntington Beach Home Depot as they seem to have three available. We arrived at Home Depot HB, all the Big Max sheds available had parts missing. However they were willing and helpful to order one online for me, something Home Depot in Orange couldn't do. Well, we finally received our Big Max shed, and of course we also had a piece missing. The top piece (roof) was missing. We called Home Depot, thinking maybe one of their sheds that also had missing parts will have the piece I was missing. Unfortunately they didn't. After discovering the Tustin store was out of a particular fitting, I was forced to come here in search of a solution for my kitchen sink installation. Solution? Joe in the plumbing department. Joe in the plumbing section of this Home Depot really knows his stuff. He quickly informed me that the particular piece I was looking for isn't made anymore and quickly suggested an alternative. I didn't have all the specs on my pipe situation, but he assured me that the parts he gave me would work. Guess what. They did. I walked to the cashier in the garden section, asked if there were any carts available and instead of helping a customer (he was not helping any customers), he points to the carts lined up in a stall in the parking lot. I asked him why they didn't have carts in or near the garden section. I was at another Home Depot on Saturday in Garden Grove and experienced the same terrible, lazy, I don't care attitude from two employees. The guy working today in the garden section was around 27-30, Hispanic and chubby. As I walked back with the cart, I overheard him telling his co-worker what I said. Both were standing there chatting and doing nothing. I hope a manager reads this email and gives him more customer service training. So, I was leaving to buy it else where when I chatted with LUIS IN TOOL RENTALS. Luis accepted ownership for my problem. He told me to buy the shelf and he would trim it for me. As a result, I was able to get the shelf that I needed and was not put to the inconvenience of going elsewhere. Luis treated this business as though he was the company owner. The worst customer service of all Home Depot locations. Andrea called to inform me that my order was prepared and to visit the store with my ID. When trying to pick up my order they said one of my orders was still being shipped. On my second item, the CS gave me a box of Solar lights that looked like had been opened. Luckily, I checked the box and it had a missing solar light out of a 4 pack. I requested to speak with a manager named Nathaniel, who was utterly unhelpful. As he went away and failed to return, he promised to price-match my first item and take care of the situation. Oscar advised me to go get the products on my own and he would price match, but it turned out to be a waste of time because they wanted me to pay when it had already been done so online! Rrazza, the supervisor, also informed me that I would have to wait till the item arrived at the store and that I could not cancel it. To top this off Oscar suggested I take the solar lights to another store to exchange it. Who would believe someone trying to exchange an item at another store that the box had a missing item! This place is full of rats. Saw on as big as a cat. Told them and they were surprised I only saw one. It was inside of the building. Also, this store shows items in stock online which when attempting to find in store are actually out of stock. Thus wasting my time, money, gas, and effort. They don't know what they have in stock. On April 21, 2020 I went to the Home Depot on Tustin Ave in Orange to return-some items from a DIY job at my home. When I tried to return the items (without a receipt) I was told I had returned too much merchandise without a receipt. REALLY! My wife buys, I return, I don't have her credit card so I can't get my money back so I take a store credit. My returns are usually $20, $30 or so $'s. I know you make it hard to return merchandise and I guess that's your business plan. But to make me feel like a criminal like I am committing fraud. Especially when I usually spend the money anyway. The manager was even worse. She said "That's corporate policy (period). REALLY The more I go to Home Depot the more I end up going to ACE HARDWARE. Friendly helpful people easy to return (they don't make you feel like a criminal when returning). Likewise with LOWES. Both great stores. I'm done with Home Depot. read more

This is the very best Home Depot I have ever patronized! The service was excellent, their stock is great and varied, and they are very helpful! John the assistant manager/coach was super friendly, helpful and went above and beyond his duties in helping me. My husband died recently, so I need a little extra help, and John, Michelle, Kim L, & Bethany showed me kindness and patience and were supremely helpful in meeting my Home Depot needs! I am "new" to the area and will not be shopping at any other Home Depot, even though there is another one not too far away. My car was broken into and both John and Michelle came outside with store materials and taped up the space where my front passenger window used to be, before the thieves broke it. I had the worst experience today at this HD location. The older gentleman working isle 12 for the screws and bolts clearly did not want to help me. He flat out asked me to find someone else to help me when it was in fact another employee that told me he was the specialist in that area. I saw him helping other customers without any reservations at all. All that I can say is that besides being felt snubbed, I felt he wasn't willing to help me because of "how I looked". Those other customers he helped "looked like him". HD customer service has always been the best. However today it was a very clear to me I was being discriminated against.
