Came in the Wednesday before Easter to pick up our online order which was scheduled to be picked up at 11:00am. I got there about 11:04am and was trying to figure out which line to stand in as there were 2. One line was for ordering sandwiches according to the hanging sign and for pickup according to the roped off sign and the other was for ordering hams/turkeys, meals according to the hanging sign. I stood in the ordering sandwich/pickup area behind a woman who was waiting. I asked if she was waiting there for her online pickup and she said yes. There wasn't a clerk behind the area so I assumed she was getting her order. After a minute or 2, a few people came in and stood in the other line where there were 2 cashiers. A gentleman submitted his online order to the clerk when they told me earlier that the line for pickup was where I was at?? I was annoyed! Another lady came behind me when she asked if I was waiting for a order pickup then went to the other line after she saw the gentleman get his order. Then she saw that I was frustrated she was going to allow me to get in the 2-clerk line ahead of her. Finally probably after a good 20 minutes or so, another upbeat African-American clerk helped me out in the first line as the lady who was in front of me also was having sandwiches made. What an unorganized zoo on the week of Easter!! My clerk was the only one who made me smile and was friendly and jovial with a positive attitude. I don't know why no one spoke up to say "We'll be with you in a minute. Sorry for the wait." This was my first time here at this location and I think the management needs to streamline the processes during the holidays. I've been to another location in another state and even when the line was snaking out the door and I had to wait 30 minutes, there were several lanes where people could be serviced and someone was directing both outside and inside. 2* for Service. As for the ham, it was smoky and tender. The Champagne Mustard had a zing to it and although its packaging changed to a squeeze bottle vs. a jar, the consistency also changed. I have gotten many consistently delicious hams from this location. This location also keeps a lot of hams on hand, and they make it easy to acquire one last minute. I have been burned many times by the location in New Braunfels, and have been forced to come here to this location numerous times. The process sometimes takes a while, and you are forced to wait in a very long line that wraps around the building, but this is to be expected. Do not let the negative reviews on this page deter you from coming here. I have been to many Honey Baked Ham locations (Conroe, Oklahoma City, and San Antonio) and for a good ham, you will wait. To all the negative Nancy's on here who gripe about the wait, wake up earlier and get their earlier and you will not have a long wait. I recommend this location, and will be back. Tasty ham and turkey they offer here. We stopped off to grab a meal for dinner that includes a half pound of each along with the bbq beans and dinner rolls. This is a review for just the lunch at HoneyBaked Ham, not the catering service itself. I ordered their signature ham sandwich. The sandwich was not very good, to be direct. The croissant had no flavor and the lettuce and tomatoes were frozen to the point of having no flavor or texture either. The ham was fine of course, but not particularly exciting. The smoked mustard was actually kind of bitter and made the whole sandwich worse. It's also worth saying that just getting their hams themselves= pretty good. read more

I also had an issue with the Thanksgiving order with the IH10. The manager contacted us and sent a gift card. So I went back, thinking they were listening. The store was filthy. The counters were covered in old food debris and when handing over my phone so associate could see order number - she returned it covered in debris from meat. Upon arriving home and starting to prepare the biscuits we discovered they had been repacked and were moldy and the top layer of the biscuits had been removed. I haven't had HoneyBaked (Heavenly Ham) since for over 20 years. I went in to order a Ham Salad Sandwich on a Croissant. The first bit awoke all my childhood memories. It was amazing!!!! However, the customer service was superbly trash. 1. When I walked in the bell rang five times before someone emerged from the back. 2. When I placed my order I asked if they had any honey or Dijon mustard, she replied with a blanket No! Why is this a problem? Because not only were they selling bottles of it on a big wooden shelf, honey mustard was on the menu. 3. She didn't offer me a drink or to make my order a meal. Which is super weird because workers are taught to push a good sale. Excellent customer service should have recommended or simply offered the honey mustard on the menu or explained it to be discontinued. And I should've been asked to make my sandwich a meal. Friendly customer service goes a long way. You never know how you may bless someone or they end up blessing you! Picked up the ham Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. It has been 3 years since we have bought Honeybaked as we had one shipped and it was spoiled when we received it. Decided we would try it one more time. The ham looked ok, but Thursday when people started eating it, they said it tasted like the glaze was burnt. It was and about a quarter of an inch of the ham was scorched as well. We ended up cutting the glaze off. Not many were eating the ham, most ended up sticking with turkey. Thank goodness I make great sides and desserts!!! I called the store Friday and was told we could bring it back. That really doesn't help fix the dinner issue and the ham is in pieces with much of the glaze thrown away. They did give me the corporate number and I called and left a message.
