A Saturday night birthday party of 6, we arrive and get our table, get seated ... we're on a TIMER as soon as we are seated!!! It took 20 mins to get our drinks, and appetizers. Then we order our dinners and a bottle of wine... it took 40 mins for our dinners. Then we dine...a birthday dessert was delivered and then the host informs us we have to leave... another party has been waiting 15 mins for our table! When we are still having dessert! Almost 500.00 bucks for this dinner and we got rushed so they can fill the seats, btw it was 30 mins from closing time. I WONT BE BACK! EVER. Absolutely loved this restaurant. The views are amazing, my food was amazing. Def start with the feta and the bread and the meatballs. For dinner my friend got the poke tower which was so fresh, I got the chicken scaloppini which was so flavorful. I love that I could taste the lemon. The drinks were good, the service was good and I loved that as the temperatures dropped they had the heater outside. After dinner we went to mooneys which is a bar downstairs. Extremely disappointing dinner. Six of us ate at The Hudson for the first and last time this evening. Four of us had the 20 oz. dry-aged rib eye, one of us had the filet, and one had the butternut squash ravioli. The rib eyes were more fat that meat and what was meat was flavorless and so tough to chew. The filet was also not the most tender and had little flavor. It also did not help that we had to wait 10 minutes to get a hold of steak knives. In the meantime, we had no choice but to try to cut the steak with butter knives, which was no easy feat. The only decent meal was the ravioli. This place is overpriced and very underwhelming. We had no appetizers or dessert and the bill was well over $500 for a less that mediocremeal. Needless to say, we will not be returning. One star is far too much. read more

This restaurant was recommended because of the nice views on their patio. Unfortunately the day we went weather wasn't good and we sat inside. Service was prompt and we had no trouble getting a table for a late lunch, probably due to the cooler weather. I ordered a beef slider and a cup of corn chowder. The chowder wasn't creamy chowder and more of a thick brothy chili chowder, and I didn't care for it. The slider was good with nice quality slices of beef, although the horseradish sauce provided didn't taste like there was any horseradish in it. I debated asking my server for some horseradish on the side but figured my slider would be cold by the time she came back with it. My husband ordered a southwest Caesar salad. He was happy with his choice and sald it was good. The inside of the restaurant where we sat was pleasant enough and decorated nicely. I would imagine the experience levels up when it's a nice day and you can eat on the patio, and there may be other things on the menu that are better, but for me if I return to Sedona this place won't be on my list. read more

Cool industrial space with an amazing view, located at the back of a plaza, there is plenty of parking and the mountains serve as a backdrop to your meal. Portions here are HUGE and we could have probably only ordered 2 entrees and it would have filled our family of 4. Prickly Pear Ribs: order was for a whole rack so a lot of food. I prefer my ribs less saucy and they tasted great after using a knife to get rid of some of the sauce. Nice bite through and did not fall off the bone (which means they are overdone). They also have a prickly pear cocktail that was fruity and refreshing. Chicken Pot Pie: this one is also very large, I want to say it was 12 inches in diameter and too much for us even with sharing. I visited your establishment this past Saturday with my cousin and aunt and had a very disappointing experience from the moment we were seated. We specifically requested a table on the patio in a sunny area. Instead, we were seated at a six-top table in the shade. Shortly after being seated, we noticed there were other open tables in the sun that would have better accommodated our request. When I went back to the host stand to ask if we could move, I was told no and was directed to a sign about "no table hopping," which had not been clearly explained to us upon arrival. What made the situation worse was the way the host handled the interaction. Rather than responding professionally, he spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner, stating that I was "an adult" and should know how to read the sign. This was unnecessary and inappropriate. I was simply asking for a reasonable accommodation, especially given that the restaurant was half empty and there were multiple available tables. My family and I ended up leaving and spending our wonderful afternoon around the corner and racked up a beautiful 400 tab that could've supported your business! I understand that restaurants have policies in place, but there is a way to communicate those policies respectfully and professionally. The host's behavior felt demeaning and uncalled for, and it significantly impacted our experience. Because of this interaction, I will not be returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses both customer service and how policies are communicated to guests. read more

We're from California and it's our first time in Sedona. We decided to try this restaurant. When we got there the hostess asked how many in my party and I said three. She didn't hear me I guess, so in her stern voice she asked "how many". I thought wow she is rude. We wanted to sit in the back patio for the view. She said I can only seat you guys in the sun. I thought okay that is fine. They're busy. Went out there and there's some vacant tables. But she sat us in the sun closest to the door. After we sat down. We notice the other hostess seating other people and asking where they would like to sit. Interesting how the hostess that sat us was rude and probably discriminating us. After reading some of the reviews. Looks like other people have dealt with rude workers here and being discriminated. This restaurant is in a tourist spot so there will be all walks of life coming to visit. Don't spend your money here. Us (tourists) are the ones funding their paychecks. The server was okay. We went to lunch at the Hudson after hiking in Sedona. We picked it for the good reviews and stunning view. We were able to be seated pretty quickly without a reservation. The view of the red rock mountains is truly incredible. The menu offers a wide selection, but you are definitely paying a premium. I thought the food was pretty overpriced, even by tourist standards. We enjoyed some tuna poki, which was pretty good. My husband ordered the rack of ribs, which ended up being a huge portion! We had to box it up to go. I had a gourmet salad but it was just okay. My husband and I stayed one night Sedona on our way to Napa Valley. We decided to go to The Hudson based on reviews and I'm so glad we did. The service was awesome, atmosphere lively and food was delicious. Also, the views were amazing especially from the patio. We started with the beer battered calamari and blazing cauliflower both were very good. Then we ordered the special of the night, braised short ribs that were so tender and flavorful we could not stop eating them even though we were full. We dropped in during the slow season (December) and were able to get a table for three on the patio with no wait. Happy Sag Season, to meee! The Hudson was recommended to me by one, two - no - maybe five friends, so ya know it was on my Yelp Collection of Sedona spots to check out. After a morning hike, meditation, yoga, and another hike, we were ready for a snacky snack before a late dinner. We started with a round of local beers and three apps: whipped feta, dynamite shrimp, and olive tepanade flatbread. Loved the olive tepanade flatbread. But note at $6/each, that's per slice. The dynamite shrimp was probably a fave; the feta could have been better if the "honey drizzle" was only a drizzle... it was swimming in too much sauce for my liking. But all good...
