I just went here after driving by it many many times and today I was drawn in, not only was a little nervous to try a new coffee shop but the girl Alana helped my mom and I figure out the exact coffees we would love! Really taking her time to create a personal relationship and a professional appearance of the coffee shop! She was so kind and had so much patience and answered all of our questions about everything from the gluten-free bars to the alternative milk choices they had! Drove an hour to try this after seeing it on Tik Tok and it was just such a bland flavor. We got snowy mochas, and they all tasted like watered down coffee with a splash of milk. I have 3 Starbucks right by me, but I would rather drive 15 minutes out of my way to go to The Human Bean. The drive up ordering makes life easy. The staff is always awesome and extremely friendly. The drinks there are way better than any other "chain" that I have gone to. I really love drive thru coffee stands so I was excited to see that there was a drive thru human bean in town. I also love supporting small businesses! The coffee here tastes great and I often treat myself to flavored lattes as well. I especially like how the human bean as a corporate business supports the coffee farmers that they purchase their coffee from. They pay them fair prices for their coffees which helps farmers livelihoods. This may make the prices of the coffee at the human bean slightly higher than other corporate coffee giants but I'm happy to pay a little more to know that coffee growers are treated fairly. I am VERY PISSED OFF after coming here less than a half hour ago. I ordered 3 32 oz smoothies. I ask for a drink holder for them and she gives me the 3 large smoothies in a coffee drink holder!!! She says be careful they are unbalanced. No shit they were unbalanced, I moved them across my body and all 3 fell off the drink holder because they wouldnt fit into the smaller coffee cup holder they were SITTING on top of. A third of each one poured out the top because the other genius move she had was put the lids with the straw holes already cut out of them. Come on. Why would you put those lids on a smoothie thats going into a car?!?! To add insult to injury, all three smoothies were the consistency of water so they poured out with ease into my passenger seat. Now I have fruit smoothie filling my passenger seat, leaking out the back and side of the seat into my carpet under my seat and into the carpet in the back seat. What a joke. How stupid do you have to be to hand someone 3 large drinks on top of a piece of cardboard and expect them to get it thru the window, across the seat and settled somewhere safe before they toppled? Coffee cup holders for 32 oz cups... Are you serious?!?!?! Now I feel like a stupid ass for giving them a $5 tip when I paid $24 for 3 smoothies. Should have saved it for the car detailing im going to need. I dont even know if I will ever get the smoothie out of the seat, it soaked in so fast in 112 degree heat. The smoothies were not good. I wont be back. All I could taste was some kind of milk or nut milk. The raspberry flavor was non-existent and the texture was wrong. It was foamy and very watery. That was not "fresh fruit" like the menu claimed. read more

The Human Bean has been good to me. I frequented the Arizona locations several years ago, and was happy to see one open nearby. I've been several times this year already.. Cheaper than Starbucks prices, plus you get a chocolate covered espresso bean with your order. Good service too. Only drawback is the location. Tiny strip mall and not easy to get back onto El Toro if it's busy. Would definitely recommend the Human Bean if you haven't tried yet. read more

The staff here are so sweet, this place is quiet the hidden gem. And such a shame they close early. I always try to grab some coffee before having to get ready for my graveyard shift. I usually bring my dog for the car rides and i didn't know that they love pets and had treats for him. Very sweet of them. My furbaby gets excited everytime we turn in now. The cold brew is really strong. Favorite thing to get is the granite frappuccino. My boyfriend loves their java chip. Only seen them busy once and they would have one other person come out and take orders rather than waiting to order at the window. read more

Wow. My boyfriend and I went here on a whim and it was the best decision ever! The place is so small and unassuming but you really can't judge this place by its cover. The woman who helped us was incredibly sweet and gave us a mini menu, described the drinks, and even told us we could mix the drinks! You have the option of getting them blended, iced, or hot. Wow, my new favorite! This spot just reopened as a new coffee shop and it is a gem. The tiny drive through kiosk (yay for drive-thru coffee, amirite?) has a great menu with nice variety and all the classics. Prices are aligned with Starbucks, and the employees when I came through were complete sweethearts. I got the Mexi mocha and it's definitely my new favorite coffee drink. A caffeinated Mexican hot chocolate...to go. Perfection. Details matter. Every drink comes with a cute little chocolate-covered espresso bean on top. Like a little surprise waiting to make my day. And the lids are ultra cool...a little slider tab to open/close them. Which means I don't have to try to stuff the little drinking hole full of napkins to keep it from spilling in traffic (ahem, take note Starbucks) In a city with so many Starbucks (for which I'm thankful), it's refreshing to have a cute local alternative that is so delicious and convenient. My husband is a Starbucks snob and when I took him here he actually really liked it which is a big win! I love to stop here for an afternoon pick me up when we are in the area. The ladies here are really nice and friendly. Many times, when I arrive and they see me, they know my drink and have it ready before I even get to the window. On one occasion, I was three cars back from the window and they brought my drink to the car before I pulled up to pay! I feel great and always leave with a smile on my face here. Today, I arrived at 516am to have a quick short before my workout and when I went to pay, she swiped my card and handed it back to me. 2 minutes later I received an email that my card had not been activated and therefor declined the charge. I felt so bad but continued to go do my workout. One my way to the Chiropractor, I stopped back in to pay them. As I pulled up to the window, Miranda smiled and said "hey Your back!!" And handed me another coffee. I hadn't even ordered one.... I told her I was only there to pay for my drink from earlier and she laughed and said "I got ur drink. Don't worry" I insisted many times to let me pay, but she wouldn't budge. We both laughed and I left! Good staff, great coffee, best service!! I'm now writing again the night after I wrote my initial review. Here I am. Not even up to the window yet. Less than 1 minute and I was off ;-). Love u ladies so much!! read more
