I feel they have the best homemade ice cream in the state. Dozens of different flavors along with seasonal favors. I can't tell up how many different flavors I like. The only reason I give them 4 stars is the wait. They never have enough help. The poor staff is going crazy with the amount of customers they get. Went on a recent trip and the ice cream is still just as good. Lots of flavors to choose from and huge portions make for a packed place on a weekend night, but don't worry the lines move rather quickly. The blueberry ice cream they have this year is fantastic, nice and creamy, and bursting with blueberry flavor. Pro tips: Parking in the lot can be limited and busy - mind your kiddos! Because of this, most times we'll drive across the street and enjoy our ice cream at Diamond Hill park. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I tried this place years ago after a friend's recommendation. Boy do I have great friends! The ice cream is amazing. The selection is incredible and overwhelming: Ginger, Maple Walnut, CC Cookie Dough, German Chocolate, to name a few. What often happens is the a get a massive cone with three different flavors, but I am never able to finish the cone. The staff is super nice, too. I am often indecisive, so the staff graciously offers samples to help my decision making. The staff are usually students who write on their tip cups where they are attending college, which makes me even more eager to give a good tip. They also sell fudge, I've had the fudge once: it was a little title too sweet for me but the flavors were delicious! So get to this place! Great ice cream, nice fudge, and friendly staff. read more

The locations sits off busy Diamond Hill Road and doesnt have the parking lot to contain the crowds that visit this place so you will have to park across the street near the recreation fields. It doesnt look like much and is a smaller stand but has like 5 windows. Small attached candy store as well with fresh fudge, you may pass by this if you don't pay attention it is so small. The flavors and sundaes that litter this menu are awesome and creative and some of the best I have seen from any place around, so many choices and new ones every week according to the menu, tons of toppings and even creative shakes and drinks. No wonder people drive for miles to come here. The ice cream served here is creamy and tastes great, had a smores sundae and it was huge and every bite was excellent. I have been coming here for over 25 years, and now is a special place I bring my girls. I do have to say, there are ALWAYS lines BUT they do move pretty quickly. My favorite flavor is coffee oreo and buttercrunch. I have dared to try flavors like ginger, pumpkin and grapenut which are all uniquely awesome. Birthday Cake, Dinosaur tracks and bubblegum are my girls favorite flavors. Beware portions are giant! My kids have trouble finishing even one scoop. The downside are the mosquitoes, they do not accept credit cards and there is no place to wash your hands after the huge scoops drip all over you. Love this place! My girlfriend and I share a passion for ice cream - our first date was over ice cream. We have been to a lot of different places and this is by far one of the best. The ice cream is all homemade and they have over 50 ice cream flavors (plus some seasonal, yogurt, sorbets and no-sugar options) to suit just about anyone's taste. The prices are very reasonable, but it is cash only. They have an ATM on site if you need it. Parking is not the greatest, usually you have to park across the street and cross over, but it works. We usually come here after dinner with our dog and grab ice creams for us and a small vanilla for her. We drop the tailgate, hangout, people watch and enjoy our treats. They do have some picnic tables, but since this place is so busy finding a spot can be tough. As far as personal favorites go, I'm all about the peppermint stick and my girlfriend loves the cherry chocolate chip. They have a large variety of ice cream flavors, frozen yogurt, and sorbet. The serving size is generous and reasonably priced. They have a few outdoor windows where you can order outside. The seating outdoors is mostly in the shade. No worries even if it's a bit rainy out due to the roof covering outdoors. I find they have a reasonable amount of seating outdoors. More so than other places. You can also order inside too. Where you will find a candy store that also sells fudge. They do have parking lot, however it's always busy and can be difficult to park.
