Jerk chicken, rice and peas, Mac n cheese and dumplings
    Kelly M.

The jerk chicken and curry chicken were so flavorful. Loved it! As for the sides, they all lacked salt. The Mac n cheese was really bland. Once we salted everything they were alright. I definitely liked the coconut rice more than the rice and peas. The veggies and plantains were good. I would not get the mac n cheese again. The dumplings were different. I didn't like them l but I also didn't dislike them. They seem like something you'd have to grow up on to enjoy. The service was great. Super good vibes and people ! The dj on Saturdays until 2am sounds like a great time!

Stopped by on a Saturday night, it was quiet in the shop and they mostly ran out of everything. Got the goat curry and jerk chicken. Goat curry was a okay, but overwhelmingly salty. Jerk chicken was really really good, a bit on the salty said but man that flavor was just spot on. However the wait was 40mins we definitely missed our chance to view the sunset by the beach the ginger and cucumber juice was quite nice, but it's a bit on the sweet side

Absolutely a joy and delight every time I eat here. Whether it's to go, or in the restaurant, their food is delicious and full of love. Their customer service is the same. If you're looking for rich flavors that hit the spot, definitely come here.

Authentic Jamaican food with lots of choices and large portions "The best jerked chicken I have ever had," Paul W. While we were there, an artist was repainting the outside of the building. The inside walls have paintings of famous people of color, and their famous quotes are written beside them. Wheel chair accessible. Free parking on site.

Curry chicken, sautéed veggies and Mac n cheese. Was delicious

Curry chicken was very delicious, flavor is there. Sautéed veggies and Mac n cheese. I do feel like Mac n cheese is lacking seasoning though. The vibe inside nice as well.

Just wow...it was my partner and mine's first anniversary and we decided to take a trip to Humboldt to see the new Redwood Skywalk. I did some research on places to eat at in Eureka and the Jerk Kitchen came up. We love all types of foods and the pictures had us hooked. Well let me tell you what... If you do not eat here, YOU ARE MAJORLY MISSING OUT on a flavor explosion of yummy food goodness. Everything was perfect from the chicken, plantains, rice, killer Mac'n'cheese, to the side of cabbage with veggies. My mouth is watering while writing this. Makes me mad I do not live closer. Do yourself a favor and visit The Jerk Kitchen, you won't regret it. Sincerely, A huge fan

Del, rocking the jerk chicken... #respect

We looked at the reviews here on Yelp! and were a bit worried at the low overall rating. Well, rest assured, we had a good meal and enjoyed our visit. My wife had the filet mignon, while I ordered the rib eye. I asked our waitress about upgrading to the pricier dry aged rib eye, and she surprisingly talked me out of it saying the regular rib eye was really good. She was right. The combination of the grilling and the buttery sauce was delicious. It didn't need any additional sauce, but out of curiosity I tried the house sauce that was on the table, and it was quite nice. For some reason, they have a Tesla coil (from the original Tesla, not the car company) and they fired it off while we were there. They give plenty of notice before they do as it makes a loud sound and sparks fly about the device. It was interesting. So, if you're in town and looking for a good steak, give this place a try.

Boy have I been eating so unhealthy on this trip, but you know that because you are following. Is that part of the reason I am having so much fun? This did not disappoint. I did not think it was very spicy, but my daughter said it was too spicy for her. Good thing she ordered the mild version of garlic chicken; see below. Decent portions. Garlic Chicken - A more mild version of the above. But with rice and mac rather than fries. A slightly healthier version. Ahi Poke Bowl - My wife's choice. A solid 3 1/2 stars, due to a couple of small hiccups. I've wanted to come in here for some…read moretime, but I was unable to make it into the restaurant, so I decided to do a DoorDash. The first hiccup, was the restaurant is less than 10 minutes from our place, yet from the time I ordered to the time the food came, it was just under an hour. Plus, it was after lunchtime on a Saturday, which should've meant that the place should have been less busy That's a long wait for a short distance. The food itself was pretty good. My first order was the cod, fritters. The flavor was good. I could definitely taste the cod. What I didn't care for, was the texture. They were pretty gummy. I don't know if that's how they are supposed to be or not, but I was not a fan of the texture. They did come with a red sauce for dipping, but it was a bit too spicy for me. On the other end of the spectrum, however, was the curried goat, which I loved. I called ahead to ask if it was spicy, and they said, not really. And they were right. It wasn't really that spicy. It was a mellow spice that made my forehead sweat just a little bit, but well within what I like for spicy. The flavor itself was fantastic. The goat was bone in, but it was so tender. It was literally falling off the bone. Goat can be gamey, but this wasn't. It had a nice mellow flavor. There was also a gravy, which had a deep, rich flavor, and the rice had a good texture and a nice flavor also. It didn't taste like plain white rice. Overall, even with the delivery cost, the price was very reasonable. I would definitely order from here again, but the next time I would go into the restaurant instead of doing delivery. Also, while I liked the flavor of the cod, fritters, next time I would order something else. Thank you so much for an overall good meal.

This was the worst bomboclaat Jamaican food we ever had in our life along with the worst service…read more My BF and I walked into this restaurant on Saturday, 1/3/2026 around 2pm. The door was open with the open sign up so we assumed they were open for business. We walked in to someones old Jamaican granny behind the counter alone and confused. I'm not sure if she meant to leave the door open but the hours of operation that were posted were well within the time we came. When we walked in, granny asked us if we wanted to eat in or take it to go. We said to go and proceeded to look at the menu. The menu looked like it had good stuff but when we asked granny if she had the fish or the patties, she said she had neither (what kind of Jamaican spot doesn't have patties?!). My BF wanted jerk chicken and fries and granny said she had that. I, myself, honestly did not want anything because they did not have the fish but settled for roti. I wanted roti with beef at first but granny said they did not have that either (I honestly think she just didn't know where anything was) so I said nevermind. Then granny got on the phone with the person that left her alone - referred to only as "she/her" and that person said that they had roti with chicken so I reluctantly agreed. After granny got our orders she began cooking. My BF and I sat down at the tables all the way to the left next to that makeshift wall and waited for about 30 mins for granny to make the food. During those 30 mins we waited, we noticed a lot of interesting things - there is mold around the window on the left if you are facing the door from the inside. Yikes. I was looking down at my phone and saw black smoke following me only to look up and see poor granny in a cloud of smoke behind the counter. It was then that my boyfriend told me "does she need help?" We could clearly see she was struggling to make the food. Mind you, the whole reason we decided to stay was because we thought granny was going to throw down but we were totally wrong. Granny packed up the food and then I asked her how much I owed her to which she got on the phone again with the person that left her alone and came back with $36.27. LUCKILY I had cash but unfortunately granny didn't have any change so I ended up giving her $40 in cash. Right before we left, granny asked us if we wanted to take a drink with us. I was honestly thinking that granny was telling us to get a drink because we overpaid her by a few dollars but she ended up trying to charge us for it. WTF? I pulled out my calculator and told her we paid her an extra $3.73 which covered the price of the soda. She was saying things that were really hard to understand but I think she thought that extra $3.73 was a tip. I don't tip on pick up or to go orders ever. Finally, after going back and forth with granny, she told us to take the soda that was on display, which was warm and maybe old. She surely did not know where the cold ones were. We went into our car to eat the food and it was horrible. The jerk chicken was not jerk at all. It was marinated with something but it definitely was not jerk. Granny just threw it on the grill and overcooked it because the thigh was tough and dry. The roti I got was not the flaky kind and it was whatever. None of us finished our food. The only thing that was good was the warm soda. Whoever left granny alone and confused is dead wrong. We know she tried so we give her credit for that but it was still overall a strange situation. Please fix that mold ASAP.
