We came on a Monday night to watch the warriors vs rockets game. They were kind enough to turn the sound on the TV and let us use the entire back area since it was empty there. The rest of the TV's near the bar were playing, but without sound. We ordered some loaded nachos and tater tots. Tots came out extremely fresh and piping hot. The nachos were loaded with cheese and beef with a small side of guac. It basically felt like a private viewing party since we had it all to ourselves with the game sound piped in. read more

I happen to enjoy a good divey bar just as much as the next gal. Been here a few times and always a great time. Good for groups, decently priced drinks and selection. Close to Grand Central, makes it convenient for meeting up. Even though it gets pretty crowded, it was not difficult to get a table at all, especially the space in the back. Attentive wait-staff, friendly atmosphere. Only downside is lack of bathrooms and not much space to wait online for them since it's a narrow hallway between the main area and the backroom. read more

Found this place on tiktok and was not amused. The music started off with country and then went into some 90s 2000s pop which was nice. The happy hour menu kind of sucked. Food was 2/10 . Tater tots are mad salty and the mozzarella sticks had no flavor but they were very stringy and fat which was a plus. I definitely had a different expectation for this place due to tiktok but most likely will not be coming back again. Just in my personal experience. read more

Absolutely delicious! I'm in town for business and stopped by this pub, which was close to my hotel. Very cozy and completely decorated for Christmas! Our server had a little Irish accent (very authentic!) and was very attentive and provided awesome service. I preferred the tomato soup with grilled cheese (added bacon . Avocado and tomato) ... perfectly grilled and creamy soup was delicious!!! My colleague thoroughly enjoyed her buffalo chicken wrap with hand cut fries and she ate every single one!!! So. Damn. Good. Dianna was so adorable and sweet. Stopped by for a quick bite around 1pm on a Saturday and it was pretty open. I ordered the junction burger with the sauce on the side and my friend ordered the bangers and mash. The burger was juicy and flavorful, it really didn't need any sort of condiments but the junction sauce had a BBQ flavor but was very good. It was also light and not too heavy which I was surprised about. The hand cut fries I ordered extra crispy and they were perfect, not greasy at all. The bangers and mash is a weekday order but Dianna was nice enough to ask them to make it for us. Very good. The potatoes were creamy and buttery and the sauce was flavorful. The universe smiled upon us this past Thursday night by granting us the fortune of choosing The Junction for our semi-annual friends night thing. The short version: we loved it. LOVED. - Warm, welcoming space that by its very nature encouraged people to enjoy themselves - Friendly staff who were happy to be there and happy to make customers happy - Super food which looked and tasted several steps above bar food while still feeling like bar food - perfect - Wide selection of beers, liquor and single malt scotch - Wide cross-section of bar patrons covering all walks of life The only regret is forgetting to take a photo of our receipt, which was well over the $100 needed to enter the "win a happy hour" contest. Shhh. Best lunch deal in this part of midtown east here, don't y'all start coming and crowd me out. The $10 lunch special Pat LaFrieda burgers are great, fries tots or salad are included. All are really good. House beer at lunch is $4 (lager is better than the ale but frankly both are flavorless) and well drinks are $6. Service at the bar is both pleasant and efficient. Good bar food and great music The bartender Siobhain is absolutely awesome and is so sweet and efficient and just an all round gem I rarely rate bars but she makes this place feel extra special. She is smart and funny and awesome at what she does. She is kind and really genuinely makes you feel so welcome. I could not recommend this place or Siobhain Anymore ! Best espresso martini ever ! I walked in with my friends on a Sunday night while happy hour was going on. It was fairly busy yet the waitress was so kind and accommodating. I sadly forgot her name but great girl! The cauliflower bites with this sweet and sour sauce was life changing. The only reason it isn't a 5 star is due to the portion and the price of food. The pizzas are super small for around 19 dollars. But it is understandable due to it being NY and a popular bar. If im ever again in NYC I'll be sure to make a pit stop. read more

Great pub spot for lunch or even dinner. I visited for a business lunch and it was perfect! Mid-day it wasn't too busy and it fit the bill for the typical pub feel with bar seating and regular seating. I ordered some comfort food with my colleague and had a relaxing lunch with a great meal. The service from the bartenders is horrible. Not new in NYC, but usually they have the chops to serve up well made cocktails. Not this place, they are just mediocre at everything. One star for decent happy hour specials if that's what you're looking for. I came to check out this bar for a happy hour group than I run in the city. The male bartender was very nice to me and everyone was perfectly fine. Had a decent experience and came back with a bunch of people after a show about 2 hours later. The female bartenders was really rude to me on multiple occasions and one of my female friends and I were wonder why her response was as so strong. We cut out drinks short and left. Summary: good drink selection, great for after work happy hour, nicely decorated (Halloween theme at this time of year), and small bites I've had are good. I was here several months back and from that experience knew this would be a great location for smaller sized happy hours. They have a good amount of beer options, cocktails, and upon request are kind enough to make mock tails for those that don't drink. They did an excellent job of making space for my group of 14 and service did not suffer due to our group size. The space is decent and for larger groups they have a decent sized back room as well. Wow! What an amazing hole in the wall find. I stopped here for happy hour before going to the Garden and was so happy to see it decked out for Halloween (not to mention they had the perfect playlist). The bartender was very kind and got our drinks and food immediately - barely had to wait for our drinks even with a full bar. The fish and chips were delicious and so crisp, but the absolute highlight of the experience was the pumpkin spice espresso martini. Sweet, creamy, and too easy to drink. Love this place! read more

I've walked by this place a million times on my way home from work and only recently finally stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to catch the end of a packers game. Vaccination status was checked. The wonderful bartender Pam was very friendly and provided excellent quick service. It was decorated a bit for the holiday which was nice. I will say that while it wasn't that busy on a Sunday afternoon, this place gets jam packed during happy hour. They also have specials posted on their board outside along with a few outdoor tables. It is a hidden gem, never crazy crowded, never too empty, their Junction Ale is a must to try (currently $4), once you try, you'll be addicted. $10 lunch menu is a great value, burgers are yummy and filling. Service is fast and friendly. You may sit at bar, middle room or at the back room. $15 min for credit cards. Chicken tenders are ooookaayy, wings are good. Worths trying, promise :) read more

I came here last week to watch the Warriors game and have a few drinks with my coworkers. We were seated at a table pretty quickly! Bar was pretty crowded. The service was good but drinks were very average. Would not return just for those. However, it was a fun place to be able to watch the game. We asked to change one of the TVs to the game and the waiter did so. If you're looking for a spot to hang with friends and watch a game, it's recommended but wouldn't necessarily recommend for the food/drinks. read more

I had a Miserable, Regrettable and Unnecessarily Infuriating customer service experience with this business' staff member and manager. Over the course of 2 hours, what began as an innocent mistake of a delivery driver picking up the wrong order became a series of over a dozen phone calls exchanged between myself, the delivery driver and the two employees of the restaurant. They claimed they could not reach the driver. The driver claimed the restaurant had never contact him. So as I'm delivering messages between the delivery driver and restaurant - the delivery driver won't believe me because the restaurant hasn't contacted him- the restaurant says they can't reach him - I ask the employees of the Junction, "why is it that I can call him and you can't? Can we cross-reference phone numbers? The driver keeps calling me but won't believe me, it's you he needs. Can I please give you the number that's calling me?"... The employees at the restaurant hang up on me multiple time. Only speak long enough to cut me off and speak over me, defensively saying, "the order will be sent back out! We have Grubhub on the iPhone! You will be reimbursed and have your order"....two hours later, I call Grubhub. The Restaurant Never Called them, And They Sent The Delivery Driver Home when they had told me they had Grubhub on the phone and they were send another delivery driver multiple time. The kind of frustration this kind of business practice breeds is nothing but unnecessary, selfish and vindictive, and at the very least, profoundly disrespectful to any patron. 2 hours of this. They could have just said there was problem with my order and it had to be canceled from the beginning when it was still earlier enough to order from other good places. read more

What a rip off. I just stopped by for a quick drink while I was waiting for my Chinese food I block over. I ordered a Bacardi Coke which came quickly and was in a very small glass with a lot of ice. It was such a small drink I ordered a second. Then I asked for the check turns out they were charging me $12 each drink. The smallest drink you can possibly make. It's more than just a hole in the wall! It's a place of pleasure and excellence. Start to finish, our experience was perfect. [Or did I just blow your mind?] It was lucky, I happily admit. It was also lucky that we came here. It was super loud and super busy, but given that circumstance, we never really waited too long for drinks or food. And good food it was. We just had a few classics - quesadillas, pulled pork sliders, and the Disco Fries (cheese and gravy). All of it pleasantly filling and well made. This place is great! Cosy but Not overcrowded, it's perfect for a late night drink to hang with a friend (or lover).
