Always great service here! The staff is attentive and quick. The food is delicious- fresh or frozen but always well seasoned and full of flavor. I absolutely adore Kickin' Crab, as this spot specifically always fulfills my cajun cravings. We got the Kickin' fries with shrimp as well as the lobster & peeled shrimp at the spiciest Kickin' sauce level. Super delicious! The lobster was so big. Fries are always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The servers here are attentive and super friendly, always making sure that we're enjoying our meal and asking if we need anything else. I do recommend if you're eating the higher spicy levels to double glove up since the capsaicin from the peppers can greatly irritate your skin. Learned that the hard way :/ I do hope that maybe in the future, they'll carry some neutral oils like vegetable or canola oil for rubbing your hands with in case they get irritated, considering that they don't use either of those in their cooking aside from butter & soybean. Came here on a Saturday night after Boiling Crab had a near 2-HR wait and it ended up being such a great decision! There was no wait here at all when we arrived. This was actually my first time ever having seafood boil and I had a good experience. We got King Crab and Shrimp, 1 lb each, a side of Cajun Fries, and the Lychee Peach sake. The flavors of the sauce was so good! Not too salty in my opinion. The King Crab was hard to open since they were very soft. Didn't seem like they have us a lot of the legs though. There was plenty of shrimp though. The Cajun Fries portion were HUGE! It also was shocking to see that the fries remained crispy throughout the entire meal! And we had PLENTY leftover, it looked like we barely made a dent. Definitely recommend. When we finished our meal, we did receive the bill ahead of time but we were unsure of whether to pay up front or wait for a staff member to come to our table since nobody came up to us. Stepping in there is that seafood smell that adds to the coastal atmosphere. Aside from the nicely decorated restaurant and the welcoming staff, the food was disappointing. I ordered the Cajun fries and one pound of crawfish. The Cajun fries were flavorful and good, but the crawfish were unbearably salty. I've eaten here before and had a good experience, but each recent visit seems to get saltier and saltier. I rarely waste food, but I had a difficult time finishing even half of the one pound order because of how overwhelming salty it was. This is my first time here at The Kickin Crab and I'm probably not coming back. I went here with 3 other people so we got a good amount of seafood, about 10 pounds. At one point we asked for new pairs of gloves for the whole table and they were not very receptive. Our gloves were torn and all the juices soaked our fingers and they said they normally only give one pair per customer. This is after many rounds of food and we couldn't believe it. We liked the crawfish and shrimp so we got more of it as the night went on. But eventually we ordered some crab legs because we were enjoying the food so far. The crab legs had terrible texture and the meat sort of broke apart in your mouth in a way that it felt mealy. We couldn't eat it so we had asked them if we could have another batch. In the end, we did get another pound of it and it was better, but honestly not worth the price. The garlic noodles were decent, mixing the sauces from the seafood boils makes it better for sure. read more

We get the spiciest level and WOW it is super spicy YET flavorful. There was no wait when we dropped by on Sunday before 6pm. There was a larger wait around 7pm as we were leaving. We got lucky to slide into one open spot for parking otherwise you'll have to try your luck around the parking lot. They redid the interior since I was last here years ago. There's no longer tags/graffiti on the walls. It's a lot brighter. The Jack the Sparrow pirate is still at the entrance. The price for seafood per pound has gone up a lot. From the old days it was $10 per lb but now shrimp is $18 per lb. Servers were always around when we needed them. Maybe they're trying to be less wasteful so you'll have to request lime, salt, and pepper. Thankfully they still have a ketchup bottle per table. The kickin style mild shrimp was delicious. We ordered 3 lbs of it split between 3 people in separate bags. Two Cajun fries was plenty so we got a to-go box home later. The Cajun fries have a little kick to them. The ambiance was great. Not too loud from people and the 2000's music was so nostalgic. I stand by Kickin Crab having fresher seafood than other similar establishments. The bathrooms were clean. I love that they have the two sinks outside of the restroom so you don't have to wait to wash your hands if the restrooms are occupied. read more

Food: We ordered Clams with garlic butter $17.50 , it's was fresh and delicious . My favorite is the clams because the sauce makes them so much better, and their clams are very clean. I've been to many different restaurants, and there's always some kind of sand in the clams. 3 lbs LIVE Crawfish with Cajun MILD sauce the toppings is sausage and potatoes, corn $67.85 . It's was very tasty . I like the sauce very much. The restaurant will put all the seafoods you ordered in a plastic bag with chilly sauce of your choice. Then you eat it by hands and it does require some finger works. Clam Chowder $9.10 just okay for my taste. I don't see much clams . Gumbo w/ Rice : $8:80 this is not my taste, I didn't like much Cajun Fries : $6:40 was okay. Nothing special Kickin Wings (w/Cajun) $12.80 , it's was crunchy and delicious . Pricing: Price was fair for seafood . Atmosphere : Great vibes , music not too loud and friendly service. My husband helped his friend set up their TV at their new place just down the street. Afterward, we decided to get Cajun shrimp to satisfy my pregnancy cravings, and it absolutely hit the spot. The medium spice level was perfect--I practically poured the Cajun sauce from the bag onto my rice. We ordered the combo, which lets you choose 3 lbs from clams, shrimp, mussels, or crawfish, and it comes with corn, potatoes, and sausage. We went with 2 lbs of shrimp and 1 lb of mussels, plus 4 servings of rice and a side of fries. Cajun fries - super long crispy fries, a bit cooled down when we got it, some parts taste frozen, seasoning a bit inconsistent Combo #1 with shrimp (head on), mussels, crawfish in Kickin Sauce (mild) - the sauce is on the buttery side and is slightly more sweet than other places. Shrimp is really fresh but crawfish is very inconsistent - some were super small and some big as my hand. Mussels soft and tender. Corn super sweet and complements sauce well. My party of 2 came for dinner @ 5:45PM and was seated immediately without any wait. There's no gloves at this place so I would recommend bringing your own gloves - there's a hand wash station next to the restroom though. Always a good experience! We always love coming here for the amazing service and consistent quality. The menu is simple and prices are reasonable. Compared to other places, their bags of seafood have a lot more sauce and aren't as salty. Our favorite part was that they have gloves available when we asked which my sister and mom really appreciated! We didn't have to wait too long for our food and there's always a table available. * Crawfish: 9/10 - size is pretty good for frozen * Cajun Fries: 10/10 - great portion and perfectly cooked They redid their interior since we last came and the place looks a lot brighter. I haven't been to Kickin' Crab in forever and it's exactly like how I remembered. My friends and I shared two bags of Mild Kickin' Style Crawfish, Shrimp, Corn, Potatoes, and Sausages. We also got some Cajun Fries and Garlic Noodles to eat with our meal. I usually get my seafood boil in medium spice, but the mild wasn't bad. Honestly the wait was about a 45 to hour wait when they could have been a little quicker with the way the restaurant was handled. I will say the waiter we started with was trying to be as understanding as possible. Happy hour deals are Monday through Friday 3-6. $127 fed 4 people: 4 lbs live crawfish, 2 lb shrimp combo, Cajun fries, 2 beers, and an order of corn. After happy hour ended, the restaurant started getting super busy around 6:30pm on a Friday. Love that they have a sink outside the bathrooms for handwashing and they give wipes at the end. Food: they have the best garlic noodles I've ever had. They even have happy hour from 2-5 for half off beers. The seafood boil is solid and their sauce has a lot of flavor. The medium spice was perfect for my 1lb crawfish. Service: they weren't busy at around 6pm on a Friday. We were seating right away and ordered within minutes. Kickin crab used to be my favorite cajun seafood place back in the day but because of the changes in their recipes, the food does not taste as good. The cajun fries are not as crispy and lack flavor. Their garlic noodles used to be amazing but now the noodles are smaller strands and are soft instead of being thick and chewy. As for the seafood seasoning, there is more of a tanginess to it now which took away from the overall satisfaction. During rush hours, the parking can be harder to find. Prices are similar to other cajun seafood places. read more

Phoned in to see if they have live crawfish and they said yes. So I proceed to order the combo 1 with 2lbs of crawfish for take out. Went home to eat it, and only about 2-3 pieces felt like they were live. The rest was soft and mushy. Overcooked small shards of what once may have been attached to a fish that had the consistency of beef jerkey. This place has such a fun atmosphere. When you walk in the front door there is someone there to greet you and seat you. We had a party of 5 adults and did not have to wait long to be seated. Fair warning that everything is served with Cajun spices and is very spicy. Even the fish and chips is spicy. I'm sure you could order it without the spice, if you know to.
