Nice date spot! There was construction nearby, so environment was meh. We tried the garlic fries, prime skirt steak, and double cut pork chop - it was good! Portion could be better for the price, but honestly the ambiance of the place makes up for it a little. Service is friendly. I'd recommend for a first timer!

We celebrated my wife's birthday here with our best neighbor friends, and we had a fantastic experience. First off the food was fantastic. For me I had the skirt steak which I truly enjoyed. I can't remember what everyone got but I can say everyone was equally impressed. Dessert was incredible as well, I would definitely recommend coming here to celebrate special occasions. I was surprised given how great a dining experience this was that we were only one of three tables occupied on a Sunday night. Anyway, we'll be back...

I thought everything was delicious. The service was excellent and the seats were comfortable. We got the Indian puff tacos, crispy cauliflower, quinoa falafel, burrata, mushrooms, lobster rolls, tomahawk ribeye, etc. all the appetizers had a twist and fusioned with something else. Highly recommend. The entrées were pretty traditional. We were too full for desserts. I enjoyed my extra dirty martinis. The other cocktails looked pretty, but a bit too sweet for me.

Simply freaking amazing! Roberto and Bobby are the best! The food and music are to die for. Will be coming back.

I went to a while back when this place first opened. I have to say the inside is so nice. It is a great venue for date night or girls night. The staff is very welcoming and very attentive they give you recommendations. We got a variety of plates cause we like to just share everything and taste many things. We did get the chimichurri steak, which is delicious and cooked perfectly. You must order the beads. It is delicious with some type of goat sauce that they bring it in. This is one of the popular dishes there. We also shared the muscles. They were in a very good sauce where you wanna continue to dip bread in to savor it. The little wedge salad plate we got I have to say was good but make sure you finish it because it does get soggy and not good after that. They have a large menu for their cocktails. I have to say they're old-fashioned was delicious and they smoke it for you right there at your table. Overall, great experience and delicious food would definitely keep going back.

Blues Brunch!!!! We had a great time here with delicious brunch and drinks, amazing service, and Blues music!! So much fun. On the pricey side, but worth it for the experience.

I'm surprised that not a lot of people are talking about the kitchen. It's amazing across all the three boxes - food, ambiance and service. They're hidden currently by construction tbh. That's not serving them well. Across from tenten, next to Devil May care - we stumbled upon this place in search of a friday happy hour. They have a happy hour every day and their menu is fusion menu of fusion of Indian, American cuisines. The bartenders were really nice. They had a very good selection of food and drinks in their happy hour menu. You can find a big gin and tonic for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place. If you're in the Neighbourhood check it out some of my favorite dishes, here were puffy tacos, cauliflower, and corn salad.

Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. For starters, I recommend getting the carrots yes, the carrots. They serve it with some whipped feta, which is out of this world. Also, their Ceviche and Crudos are worth a try. Very fresh. If you try the Duck Bao's, please note that the meat is more of a braised duck and not a peeking duck version.

4.5 stars Great new addition to the ATX dining scene. It's located in the new 6G residential building. I love the decor here and the service was great even for a new spot that just recently opened. The menu choices are interesting and more creative than most of the other spots around downtown. Food here was generally very good. Food: Crispy cauliflower - didn't taste much of the cauliflower but the fried bits were good Beets - very good Crab fried rice - excellent with lumps of crab meat Squid ink Lo mein with lobster - very good Grilled oysters - delicious and not overcooked Bone marrow - very good with the lamb but not as good as the Comedor bone marrow tacos Churros - decent; very soft and fluffy Goat cheese cheesecake - very good Mousse dome - decent

Oysters wasn't chilled enough. Could have been much much better.

We were very grateful to have a reservation at this place given the fact that there were 13 of us. The restaurant was beautiful and staffs were nice. Mixed drinks mediocre. We ordered a lot of different dishes but the star of the dinner was their curry flavor cauliflower 9/10. We all agreed that the kitchen lacked of organization since French fries were the last dish that came out after the proteins were served. Austin has so much to offer so I'm not sure we're coming back anytime soon.

The Kitchen - Austin's Best-Kept Culinary Secret (But Not for Long) Tonight marked my third time dining at The Kitchen, and I'm officially putting it in writing: This is the best restaurant in Austin. Period. Maybe even all of Central Texas. The fact that you can still snag a reservation without bribing someone in the parking lot is mind-boggling. This place is an absolute sleeper hit--but not for long if I have anything to say about it. Let's talk food, because oh honey, it deserves a standing ovation: The burrata is hands-down the best I've had anywhere--and I've done some serious globe-snacking. Creamy, delicate, perfection. The oysters? Fresh as the Gulf breeze and plated with precision. The bolognese is layered, rich, and exactly what comfort food would be if it had a PhD. The gnocchi floats like a dream and lands like a memory. The redfish and scallops are seared to sublime. And the chocolate mousse? Don't play yourself--just order it and thank me later. Pro tip: ask for Addy or Hunter--their service is equal parts charm and excellence, and they make you feel like the guest of honor at your own birthday dinner. Now, let's address the bougie elephant in the room: If you're letting someone's last name keep you from experiencing this kind of food magic, that's not political--that's tragic. You're letting your personal biases get in the way of the best meal of your life. This isn't about politics. It's about palates. And baby, this one's a masterpiece. The Kitchen is what happens when ingredients are respected, flavors are fearless, and the mission is clear: Feed people like you mean it. Book a table now. Thank me later. (Or stay mad and miss out--more room at the bar for the rest of us.) -- Kristi Hoss Schiller, Founder K9s.org Legacy in Louboutins. Burrata Evangelist. Still not over the oysters!! #WeRideAtDawn (for the chocolate mousse)

Stopped in for brunch with the family. Every dish ordered was fantastic. Started with the beignets, and apple danish's. Then moved on the a dozen oysters. Tried the cubano for a sandwich and it was amazing. Tried some of families orders such as the shrimp and grits, and the ceviche. Was all amazingly good. They offer valet service for only $13! Well worth it. Will be going back to try their tomahawk dinner entree because it looks amazing and have heard great things about it. The atmosphere was great and they had a great little band playing at the bar. Oh also the old fashioned they make was one of my favorites

***In support of Elon's unprecedented vision for space (despite his controversial everything else), I visited the restaurant owned my his brother, who appears to be a lot more chill than him.*** Absolutely loved the setting of this restaurant. Dramatic, theatre like, sensual with a touch of western. Should belong to steakhouse/upscale category. My main hype is the mussel dish. It's not hard to get the mussels right but Kimbal added youtiao to be the accent to this dish. As a kid raised in China, youtiao is our breakfast street food: it was cute and nostalgic for me. Friends got the Gnocchi and something else I don't remember then finished with cocoa mousse dome to seal the deal. I was enchanted by this experience.

They had no issues when taking our second round order while we were seated, but we were asked to leave the table immediately after. This round also took forever and we drank it standing, crowded, in everyone's way. I was embarrassed as it was my birthday, and I was taking a group of 7 other people - new to Austin - here to check out what was one of my favorite spots. I was bragging about it and chose it over other spots on their list. They hated it. I'm disappointed. Our server was great to us and apologetic about the service bar.

I went to Whisler's and had one of the worst bar experiences I've ever had…read more I had one drink. I was completely sober for all intents and purposes. The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
