Each time I asked I got a sharp, painful pin point pressure motion, then back to laziness. They don't massage your feet at all... or calves or hands. I ended up getting scheduled with Lynora who is so amazing at what she does. I always leave feeling so much better than I did. She is a lead, so she is a little more pricey, but I promise she is worth it. I have tried to get a massage from a few different others, but the experience wasn't great. Update: it's really hit or miss here. So go with someone you know is good or call and ask for their best person. You either get the best massage of your life here, or you feel like you're being Punked and Ashton Kutcher is about to pop out. I made the mistake of picking a random person again knowing I needed relief sooner rather than later and I didn't see any of my regulars available till later in the week. Xander, Haruka and Saba are all excellent, I should have waited an extra day or two. That was dumb of me. I just had Sky and it was probably in my bottom 3 poor massages I've ever had again. Again, he didn't focus on any knots, I felt like he was just giving giving me an "Indian sunburn" all over my back, twisting his hands around l, he would apply pressure in random places that just didn't target anything. I feel like he just didn't understand where to target. I asked him twice to please focus on some knots, I really hate interrupting therapists unless I think it's just absolutely not going to improve, and he was just like "trust the process, it takes time". Mmmm sorry dude but I've had hundreds of massages, I know what a good one feels like. This was not it. He would feel knots and just move on lol. I gave up hoping for any actual relief 45 mins into the massage. Back on track just shouldn't be a massage that is in Sky's wheelhouse. Mike and "Andrea" were quite the delight today. We had an appointment and they sent us a confirmation text confirming the massage beforehand. I arrived to my appointment 20 minutes early and they had cancelled my massage 15 minutes before the start time. So after driving there, in discomfort, and waiting you can imagine I'd need to know why it had been cancelled. There customer service was TRASH and I am still unsure as to why they'd even cancel the massage when it was already confirmed by text. Mike had no problem hanging up on us and when we called back he didn't want to give us the name of the woman who cancelled the massage so we could speak to management about the confusion. This review is for my mom because she really wanted to share her experience at The Knotstop but doesn't have a Yelp account. My mom was visiting and was suffering from horrible back pain. She has suffered from back pain on & off for years. I had seen Dan at The Knotstop previously and suggested that she go to him. When she finished the massage, she was so grateful to have gone to Dan as he helped minimize her pain. This is a huge deal and priceless. He actually took her pain away with his massage technique! She also shared that he truly understood her pain and that in itself was wonderful because she finally could discuss her pain with someone who understood the body and associated pain/conditions. I decided to get a couple's massage and admittedly treating us both. My wife has been having stressful days at work. Me on the other hand; I have been dealing with neck and back pain. So we both could use a good massage. From the pictures and reviews on Yelp. The Knotstop looked to be the place for the perfect massage; and you know. Yelp did not let me down. You first enter into a boutique of candles and scented oils plus other relaxing inducing products. Having already booked a massage days ahead of time. We check in and are escorted into a waiting room with soft rhythmic music and cucumber infused water. We are handed a clip board each to answer a few generic questions about our overall health, your preferences in a massage but to me more importantly answering what was hurting us. In this way the massage is tailored to each individual specifically. Which I loved. No cookie cutter massage for me. We show showed up around twenty minutes early, answered the questions and were getting massages exactly the time scheduled. I requested a female masseuse for my wife and a male masseuse for me. Both masseuses were very polite and professional. While my wife was getting hot stones placed on her back. I was getting an elbow, a palm and/or a finger(s) working on my painful spots. Again, your massage is tailored to you specifically. After our session was done. My wife and I felt great. It was like someone pressed the Reset button on our bodies. The masseuses leave and we get dressed. They will ask you if you want water. If you say "Yes". They are waiting outside in the hall with a cup of cucumber infused water for you. What a great experience. Now I know why ladies love spa days. You are so pampered. That's how I felt here. Guys, you need to do this if you are not already. Worth every penny. Less pain. Less stress. Thanks to him I fell madly in love with this location, and I will absolutely be returning. At first, I didn't think he could do much more than a standard squish-squish massage.. but this fella kneaded the knots out of me, creamed me like butter (get your mind out of the gutter), and left me stumbling happy drunk out of there.. most important: pain free. It's a cute location (aim for Corepower/ Starbucks in the plaza-- I daymn near walked the inside and outside parameter of the lot looking for the place). Nice little quiet room with tea and pretty decor.. and small rooms on either side of the business. Everyone was very kind -- ooh, I especially recall the front desk guy being gorgeously sexy on the phone (and extremely polite to the frantic Asian girl who got lost in a parking lot). As you can guess I loved my massage. He was a shorter, South American/ Mexican/ Spanish gentleman, with a nice smile and gentle aura... but deliciously strong hands that smooshed the hours in front of the computer, the crappy chair at work, and hours behind the wheel out of me. I honestly think I was drooling during the massage. By the time I lifted my head out of the massage donut, I swear I had snot running down my face from being that relaxed. Prices were reasonable and they have package deals. Tons of parking and just great customer service. Definitely recommend coming by if you need some TLC to your aching back/ neck. Since making the above review the Knotstop has stopped construction after hours and has reached out to make things right with another massage. The neighboring apartments have slept easier! From what I understand the issue that I had with my massage has since been resolved according to Jeremy. I'm not sure how I feel about getting massage from a low Yelp review so I declined the offer for another massage. I am taking Jeremy at his word that they have fixed the problems reflected in the reviews below and I think people who are considering come here should too. Very happy I am a member. The Staff is always courteous. They comply to COVID guidelines ensuring that clients are well taken care of. When COVID was enforcing temporary closure of businesses, Knotstop ensured that I could apply my missed monthly credit once they opened back up. They did not charge my card while they remained closed, so I didn't have to tally any owed credits. The Massage Therapists I've seen here are awesome and know where to address the sore spots and smooth them out. There were snaps, crackles, pops, knots and all that good stuff. So we returned. Im not sure who massages my husband but I had Jeff. He gave me such a great massage. He applied just the right amount of pressure. This spa experience was amazing and just what I needed after a long week of work. Two receptionists gave a warm welcome and escorted me to the waiting room which was the epitome of serene. The music was lovely and I enjoyed some lovely cucumber water while I waited for my massage. My therapist was Sherie. She had a very calming tone to her almost as if she was / is a yoga instructor. She asks my preferences as far as pressure and any troubling locations. I am a fan of Swedish style strokes with deep tissue integrated in which is exactly what she delivered! At points, I almost neared falling asleep which does not happen to me typically during massages. It was lovely to escape to this relaxing massage. Highly recommend! Both of them were incredibly inappropriate and I ended up having to make a police report because of the sexual abuse that occurred during my massage. My husband and I have been going to the knotstop for couples massages. The massage therapists are great and professional. The reason I gave two stars, they stopped offering a military discount. We had a couples massage on Dec 7 they gave us a military discount. We went last night and they stated they do not offer a military discount and never have... that's weird we had the same massage last night and Dec 7th and paid $32 less on Dec 7th. In this economy a massage is a luxury and the discount really helps. My husband is a 21 year disabled Navy veteran and we appreciate the discounts from businesses. The receptionist showed us into their relaxing area to fill out some forms & it definitely lived up to its name. Salt rock lamp, soothing music, water & tea.
