For the price I would expect better hospitality. Instead the food runners were shouting out our orders and having us pass down our plates rather than knowing where the food goes. Same went for bussing our table, we had to stack and pass down our plates. When I'm spending this much I expect the service to be professional. We ordered an expensive steak and it was over cooked, bland a poor quality. Didn't get steak knives until the end of our meal. The price is insane truly for the food quality and service. Only giving 1 stars for the redeeming tiramisu. OH and as I was washing my hands a server went to the bathroom and didn't wash hers. I came to visit New Jersey for the week again. This beautiful restaurant caught my eye so we had to try it out. And boy was it a great decision. The atmosphere is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. My boyfriend and I were sat instantly by a very welcoming hostess. The server came promptly to our table with a big welcoming smile and gave great recommendations. I tried the "What's up doc" drink. 10/10 loved it. I ordered the Angry Shrimp for my entree and the Truffle Mac and Cheese as a side. Wow. The Angry Shrimp couldn't have been better. Might have to order it togo tomorrow night. My boyfriend got the New York Strip and he loved it. I am a pescatarian so I did not try it, but he said it was perfectly cooked. 10/10 for everything on the menu. I made a 11AM reservation for their first Saturday brunch. My husband and I were greeted enthusiastically at the door by Johnny. He gave us a brief tour of the restaurant and also gave us an option to our seating, which I really appreciated because where you sit can be so much to the experience. You immediately recognize the immense efforts in more modern aesthetic, and cleanliness of the restaurant, as well as the up beat background music. Our waitress Gina was very friendly and experienced, and was always asking us if we needed anything. My husband's draft beer was cold and perfectly carbonated. We shared the biscuits and gravy as appetizer (we were pleasantly surprised that the gravy was the star of the dish - it was very good!). We each got the chicken schnitzel sandwich on the pretzel bun - crispy and not greasy. Ended it with Big Mahalo dessert, which was a coconut forward dessert - I was glad they had something besides chocolate as a dessert option. Chris came by our table and asked us if we needed anything. I'm the most understanding when it comes to restaurants being understaffed or kitchen is behind but don't lie about it, be upfront and transparent. Sat down 5:25 got food 6:45pm, mind you all are simple dishes (one was kids chicken fingers) and 4 tables AFTER us got served apps, food right away. So I came here because I saw it advertised on Instagram. The drive here was fairly simple--about 40-45 mins on Route 9 S. I ordered a passion fruit spritzer which had Prosecco in it, but with all the ice they gave me, I barely tasted the Prosecco and it got watered down so that was disappointing. We ordered the meatball and I had an iceberg wedge to start. I love a good iceberg wedge, but it was huge! I gave my fiancé some and he let me try a meatball, which was nothing special. It was just flavorful. For our entrees we ordered the chicken parm and I had the shrimp scampi. Now my pasta annoyed me because you are supposed to cook the white wine down and the pasta was not al dente. The shrimp was fine but overall my dish was tolerable. I'm used to eating really good pasta including my own. The noodles stuck together and they were a little tough like ? My fiancé said his chicken parm was very dry and I can tell by the very burnt ends that the chicken was not tender. For dessert, my fiancé got the Christmas spectacular, which was a $28 mint chocolate chip milkshake with Rice Krispies, a gingerbread cookie, whipped cream, candy cane and a waffle cone. It was great for him because he enjoyed it, but it was def overpriced! It cost as much as an entree and that I don't like. This place is geared towards families and I do not spend money like that. Overall the bill came up to $171 between the both of us (we also had two shots). Would I be back, maybe when I have a family and we're having a family day but for now, no. The chicken lollipops really were tasteless. They tasted like plain breaded chicken with some marinara sauce. The ribeye was good but not over the moon good. The sides (white asparagus, risotto) were tiny and not good. Desserts looked great but nothing special either..I see what the restaurant is trying to do here, we just weren't WOWed. I never write reviews but had to after this experience. Went for the first time, nice ambiance with the holiday decorations and the waitress was nice but that's as good as it gets. First waited about an hour to get the food and the place was maybe half full at most at the time we were there. Second we ordered a burger medium rare, it came well done. And last but not least, we ordered another burger for my son who gets it plain, waitress came by to double check the order and said they made it with cheese but they were going to remake it plain. My son took a couple of bites and tasted cheese, turns out the kitchen just scraped off as much of the cheese as they could and just flipped the burger upside down, really! Mind you my kid is lactose intolerant. And for the prices they charge for glorified Applebees food we are certainly not going back. read more
