My boyfriend and I went here on a Friday around 5. We hadn't been before, but all the other places in West End had a wait, and this place did not. It turned out to be a happy accident because the food was SO GOOD. We ordered the chicken finger app which comes with very tasty garlic fries. I had the chicken piccata and loved it, and my boyfriend had the Loop burger and said it was "righteous." It was a little noisy but I take that to mean people were enjoying themselves. This would be a great place to hang out with friends or watch a game on the TVs, but prob not for a date or anything where you'd want to chat. I'd like to try their brunch but wish the menu was a little more extensive. Either way we'll be back! read more

A friend likes The Loop a lot so we met here for lunch, it was my first time. I was unimpressed with the service. It took far too long for someone to stop by our table when we first arrived, when the server returned for food they just walked up and started telling us the special (interrupting our conversation and not introducing themselves and/or welcoming us) and when our food was brought out we weren't offered refills on our beverages which were both gone. I've definitely had far worse experiences, but for how much my friend spoke about it I was unimpressed and wouldn't go back. Hoping the server was just having a bad day and others have better experiences. The food was fine. read more

Remembered this from a while ago and thought we'd try it again. Tip to host: if your customer asks for a booth and you say you don't have one, but your customer can easily see several empty ones, then you're starting from behind. Then if your customer approaches you on his way out but you're too busy gabbing with the other two hosts, you need a different job. The worst experience I have had in a restaurant in YEARS. Ordered the fish and chips for about $15. Received two tiny pieces of cod about the size of fishsticks, 8 french fries and what they call cold slaw...this mush of something on my plate looked tainted, discolored and too scary to eat. I touched a bit to my tongue to confirm it was fowl. My eating companion ordered a chicken salad that was labeled GF on the menu. When it arrived the chicken was breaded so she asked the waitstaff if it was indeed gluten free as indicated. The manager came to our table to explain that GF meatn "Gluten Friendly" not gluten free. Great food and atmosphere, perfect for a working lunch. The Loop at West End has a great menu with some very delicious options. I am a big fan of the southern fried chicken sandwich or the blackened steak salad. Choose either one and you can't go wrong! Plates average around $14-$16 and the menu does change sometimes. read more

Great food. Bad service. We were there on a Sunday evening and it was dead, maybe 6 tables and 2 people at the bar. It took a long time to get drinks and food. Food was delicious but our waitress just seemed to not care. And there was plenty of staff for the amount of customers... I'd hate to be there when it's busy! Went here last night to grab some drinks with friends and was shocked to find out they raise drink prices after 10pm on Friday's and Saturday's. They said it was because they have a dj and don't charge a cover. Nowhere in West End charges a cover on weekends, so seemed like a BS excuse to me. I decided to have my birthday cocktail party at this location because I knew the restaurant was large and could accommodate our group of 25. My friend arranged everything with the helpful manager and even arranged a special corner area for our gathering . Our designated waitress was super, very friendly and efficient . Mad props to the Local. This location has struggled with various restaurants but with such fine service it looks like we found a lasting winner. read more

Went here for happy hour and it was pretty crowded for a Tuesday night. Everybody at the bar left one seat open between themselves and the next group so there were plenty of open one-person spaces. Happy hour food prices were so-so but the drinks (beer specifically) are more reasonable. Fairly extensive drink menu, so you're bound to find something to suit your pallet. Nice that it goes until 6:30 though instead of the standard 6pm. Service was ok. Not really the best place to have a beer and chat, since I was feeling a bit pressured by the servers to get more. The Loop has great food but the service and the speed of the employees making sure people get seated is super slow. I stood around waiting for a table for 25 mins and I could see three booths and 2 tables open. Two of the booths weren't cleared off and tables were also not cleared off. The hostess actually clean the tables but are not in a hurry to clear them off. When we did get a table we sat at the table for 15 mins before the manager actually took our order. Something needs to be changed here. read more

Huge compliment to Mike the manager on Sunday. The music was very loud. He turned it down the best he could. We the opted to move out to the patio where it was quieter. He personally checked on our table through out our time at The Loop to ensure we were being well cared for. He also turned on the outdoor heaters for us. Why not! 16 TVs inside for any game you want! Outdoor patio quiet with 2 TVs for any game. Ordered pulled pork quesadilla ... Beyond delish! Specialty drinks fabulous! I was very recently here for brunch and I went with the Salmon Eggs Benedict and it was delicious! The menu prices are about the same compared to other restaurants near by but the atmosphere and service are really what make The Loop a must-visit. Alex was our server and she went out of her way to answer our questions about the menu and ensure we had the best dining experience possible. I'd recommend The Loop to all my friends and family who are in the area! I will definitely be visiting again! read more

Since I work and live close by I have been to The Loop many times now. It's always good food and service. It's a running joke in our office that anytime my coworkers want to go to lunch or HH together, they always know I'll pick The Loop. My favorite app is definitely the buffalo chicken wantons. The salmon rice dish, greek salad and the Loop burger are my entree favorites. This is a great spot for lunch, HH/ early dinner. The crowd definitely changes around 9-10pm on the weekends. read more

I ate there tonight with a group of eight and the service was slow. It took awhile to get a drink and even longer to get my food. I ordered the Korean Beef (the waitress said it was one of the best entrees) and it just wasn't good. The noodle, sauce and meat ratio was extremely off. The flavors were there but it just ended up being a big bowl of low grade, tough meat (for a $19 meal, I'd expect a higher quality dish). Similar to it's predecessor restaurants, I don't see this one lasting. It's the curse of the building. read more

Great place! I have been here a few times and each time I have had great service! I love the menu! There are several different things that I want to try. I will say the appetizers are pretty expensive so i have never had one unfortunately (cheapest is $14), but what I have had has been pretty good! The pizzas are actually well done! I would recommend the Mac n cheese one. During happy hour they have $3 off apps and pizza as well! Pretty good cocktails and a good beer list. Four of us went there for Mother's Day brunch and the selection was impressive. We all enjoyed a different plate of items, and the dessert bar had some unique items. The decor was very hip with lots of TV screens (up high, not right in your face). The manager stopped by our table to greet us, which is always a nice touch. The worst service ever. After being seated at the table we received no attention from the wait staff. After about 8 minutes we asked the host who apologized and had a waiter come over. The table that got seated next to us also had no service and left the restaurant after ten minutes. To make matters worse, there were wait staff hanging around and lots of empty tables so no excuses for them whatsoever. read more
