I'd like them both with Melt spices on the bread but I don't see that on the menu. If they truly don't have it, please get them on spicy garlic bread. No pickle spears needed." The bun was super soft and fresh. Meat had lots of flavor and was juicy. I was very disappointed with the amount of cheese used. In the picture it has cheese just oozing out of the side of my burger. Didn't look like that in fact, if anything was lacking, it was the cheese. Customer service was next level. Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it because the burgers looked delicious and they seemed to have a good variety on their menu. They did not disappoint. They just opened when we got there, so the place was empty, lucky us! We were greeted by a really nice gentleman, who explained the menu and let us know that we could customize anything. I really like the melt burgers! While in the Danville area and craving a burger, the Melt hits the spot with juicy beef patties, melty melty cheese, and good ingredients. I've also had the burger with bacon and bbq sauce, can't recall the name, but both that burger and the mushroom burger i ordered this time around were really good. You can either order via the self service kiosks, or you can walk up to the counter and place your order with one of their staff members. The restaurant reminds me of an open air brewery. We gave this place a second chance after the first time left us very overwhelmed in terms of food quality. Sadly, the second time was even worse. I ordered takeout last night. Arrived a few minutes before the order was done, waited until the app notified me. Got to the counter and they said it was just getting boxed up and they were making the shake. A few minutes later we had our bag of food and 10 minutes later we were home. When I opened up my kid's "grilled cheese" I was confused and thought they had somehow forgotten it, because the only thing that even remotely resembled a sandwich looked more like toasted garlic bread. Upon examining it closer, I realized this was in fact what was supposed to pass for grilled cheese. The cheese was so hard and burned that it was just solid crunch. No melt. Not even close to a hint of melt. Well, ok, that was a bust, maybe we'll try the backup Mac and cheese I bought, just in case. That was completely burned on the top. No, not crispy crunchy toasted yummies, but literally burned all across the top. Only a few pieces were edible underneath all the char. Only reason for the two stars is that my daughter enjoyed her cheeseburger and my husband's chicken sandwich was edible. My impossible burger was...meh. A friend whom is also a Foodie mentioned that they had opened a Melt in the East Bay. I was excited to find out that this location is on this side of my neighborhood, and it is a quick jaunt away from Walnut Creek. I went on an early Weekend evening and it was minimally busy. They have self ordering Kiosk or you can order at the Counter. The kiosks are similar to another Chain (Shake Shack) , as in simplicity on how to order and navigating the kiosk. The order was a Patty Melt and an order of Garlic fries, and 2 Tomato soups. I also had ordered 3 Cheeses Grilled cheese and a Vanilla Shake. It was not a long wait and my takeout order was ready within 10-12 mins. There is plenty of seating and it seemed a good sized restaurant as far dining inside. Did not see any patio seating but there is plenty of parking since Trader Joe's is located next door. The Food was delicious and the Shake was very tasty, as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for Comfort food like a nice hot Tomato soup and Grilled cheese to beat the cold weather. read more
