This was a first time visit to trying this place out and I have to say I was not a bit impressed. So I tried it even though i'm lactose intolerant and one of the questions I had when I ordered was if they had mozzarella cheese as an option for substitution and it was a disappointing NO! Considering I am lactose intolerant for myself mozzarella is the only cheese i'm able to handle. So I took a chance and decided to order the Patty Melt combo with Garlic Parmesan Fries + fountain drink. I was considering coke but at this place for coke they sell to you in a can which was like $1.99 - Yes that much for a can of coke which is absurd and not worth it , when I ordered the fountain drink for $2.49 I thought there would be an option for coke but nope there was no option for any typical regular type of soft drink you only had options of flavors from Rocky Mountain Soda Co. and this soda wasn't that great. The Patty Melt was so beyond mediocre and was not worth the amount they sell it for the meat was not seasoned and everything tasted bland and it seemed as if they wanted the juices and flavor of the cheese and caramelized onions to cover up the bland meat which didn't. The Garlic parmesan fries were so over rated and garlic and whatever seasoning they used was so over powering and so over rated because I swear you would be able to make this at home yourself probably better the. what they offer you here at The Melt. The pickles they serve with your food are really salty as well. Now this is all aside from me being lactose intolerant which has nothing to do with the taste and over pricing of this place. If I were you I wouldn't waste my time trying this place out, you would better off looking at their menu and trying to make the same thing at home because it would probably come out a lot better then paying for bland and over priced food here especially on the drinks. read more

I got the Philly melt and I thought it was greasy and underseasoned. The pickled jalapeños did not add anything to the sandwich either. The meat was a weird cross between ground beef and shredded beef, almost like corned beef hash, but worse. I literally picked off the meat and jalapeños and just had a grilled cheese. It was that bad. Sweet potato fries were good though, and they have natural sodas on tap (no diet though). Service was fine, though food was slow to come out. I got the spicy mission melt burger and it was very delicious even after waiting for my family member to get home from working there. The spice wasnt too spicy but just enough. The cheese was melted perfectly and the avocados added a nice refreshing touch to the burger. One of the jalapeños was cut a big to wide so I had to take it out but I just saved it for the last bite of my burger and they combined perfectly. I highly recommend eating here over any other fast food restaurant for-sure. read more

When this place first opened, it was right on the money. Prices were reasonable ($7-8 for a grilled cheese plus a meat topping) and additional vegetable toppings were complimentary. Went in on my lunch break and was greeted immediately by Ryan, this guy had a great big smile and accommodated my special diet and budget I had. He recommended I tried the snickerdoodle which tasted almost like reese's pieces which I liked. The Impossible burger (which is a bit pricey) had me steer towards something a bit cheaper. The kindest experience happened with me and my kids. Three of my kids ran inside the restaurant, the started to ask dozens of questions at a time. The waiter was so kind and answered them all. I always get the tomato soup with the grilled cheese croutons as well. Sometimes I get a side caesar salad and/or a Strawberry Shake with the malted option. The Shake is perfect. The malted addition makes a huge difference. I have also ordered the Queso de Mayo sandwich minus the jalapeno. I added an egg to it, so it was a egg, bacon and avocado grilled cheese!!! Sounds divine... unfortunately they didnt add a fried egg on top with a nice runny yolk. They made it a "toad in the basket" by cutting a hole in one of the slices of bread and frying the egg in the hole. :/ The prices are satisfactory. I will definitely keep coming back here! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while because..cheese. I think that it's a bit on the pricey side for a place that's supposed to be fast casual. They had ipads you can order on by yourself or you can order at the counter. I got the meltburger (which is a new menu item i think) and I was actually pretty impressed. It was a juicy burger and the bun was soft. I wish there was even more cheese in it though. Even though I liked it, I don't think it's worth the price. Fast and easy Melted Classics I ordered the Steak and Cheese (+mushrooms) Melt and a Tomato soup. My favorite part is the cucumber and jalapeños within my melt which has the spicy from the jalapeños but fresh, light, and crunchy from the cucumber. The steak and mushroom was a great mix of flavor and texture. Each order comes with half a whole cucumber on the side which is nice. Also, the tomato soup tastes very tomato-y and thick. Pretty good food, I got the original chicken sandwich and the chicken wasn't too dry. It tasted good and the tomatoes were better than the usual fast food offerings. The lettuce was relatively fresh and green. They make a big deal about the buns, but they weren't anything to write home about. Just your typical American high sugar content, made with lots of yeast, mushy bread. If they hadn't said anything I wouldn't be saying anything. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't anything to brag about unless you're used to eating Wonder Bread. The fries were good, frankly great by fast food standards. The prices were reasonable, so I'll definitely try the food again. 4 stars for the food. Customer service, meh. I'd give it 2 stars. No receipt, workers were fixing an umbrella in the middle of the outside eating area and employees just standing around the register as you stand there wondering if any are ready to go. As a first time customer the menu is a bit confusing. "Melt sauce" sounds like it is something cheese based. Nope, it's just a McDonald's super sauce variation or thousand island dressing variation. Bleh. The burgers mention a lot of ingredients but my friend was told they are meat, bun and cheese only, you tell them what you want on it. Weird that there is such a disconnect between the menu and reality. My suggestion is don't expect much in the way of being treated like a valued customer. You're just a warm body with money like at most fast food places. If you set your service expectations to zero, you'll be happy with the food AND happy with the service. read more
