Stopped by The Melt today for dinner. We decided to do takeout since it was pouring so hard. Customer service is wonderful here. The staff were very helpful with helping us decide which items to order. We ended up getting the Mac Daddy with a side of fries and strawberry lemonade. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. Everything was packaged nicely. As for the food, delicious and large portions. The entire meal can easily feed 2 people. The Mac Daddy grilled cheese was toasted to perfection and loaded with tons of mac & cheese topped with so much bacon! Every bite was packed with so much flavor! As for the fries, they are seasoned and pairs well with the grilled cheese. You can't go wrong with them. The strawberry lemonade is very refreshing and the best strawberry lemonade we've ever had! Overall great experience at The Melt. We really enjoyed the food and can't wait to come back. Also love the interior of the restaurant. Its very clean and aesthetically pleasing. read more

It's a pick up and go place or you can order from the kiosk and sit at one of their tables. I decided to do take out. There's seating both inside and outside. I ordered the Mac Daddy. with their Garlic Parmesan fries and Snickerdoodle shake. Very filling and It was the perfect comfort food for a late night eat. The Mac Daddy was a perfect blend of cheese and the bacon really came through. The Garlic Parmesan fries-couldn't really taste the garlic but the seasoning was still pretty good. The snickerdoodle shake was really good as well I took one star off because I ordered to go and the packing wasn't the best. They didn't put our fries into a container so they were mixed everywhere in the bag which was kind of disappointing. Otherwise, would come back! read more

Met up with the bf here for lunch and almost made the mistake of going to the pho place before my better judgment led me to decide to check Yelp to make sure it was a prudent choice. Luckily, I caught myself and also looked at the pasta place before finding the Melt. I didn't want anything too heavy and opted for a cup of their tomato bisque with a side of garlic parmesan fries, while the bf ordered the Sicilian chicken sandwich per our cashier's suggestion and 2 strawberry lemonades. There was nary anyone there on a weekday before noon so it was quick service. There were fresh garlic and grated Parmesan on the fries and you could taste how fresh the ingredients are. The sandwich was perfect dipped in the bisque, french dip style and was the perfect portion for 2 without feeling super weighed down afterwards. would definitely come back here again for lunch. read more

This is a great place to get a good quality burger or chicken sandwich in the Irvine Spectrum. The sandwiches are sizable but not too big, and they're generous with their portions of fries too. You can order both on the tablet or at the counter, and the cashiers are always friendly and chatty. There are plenty of places to sit both inside and out and makes for a great lunch spot for nearby workers. My go-to is their mushroom-swiss burger and that never disappoints. read more

We came here pretty late from the bass pro shops down the street. The perfect review I can give it is "OK". You order through a kiosk, no biggie. Customer Service is very limited. Restroom was extremely dirty (lowkey grossed me out). Seating area was a little unkept as well. The food is okay. It's overpriced for what it is. It's not something I would ever go back for or crave but if I am at the Irvine Spectrum and am wanting a chicken sandwich, I would stop by but consider options heavily. Super hefty price, almost twice Chick-fil-A. It's 7.5 out of 10 in quality and taste, but when you baseline the price, it's more like a five. Additionally, the fresh brewed iced tea, definitely a nine out of 10. You get a pickle with your sandwich. I was handed something that looked like it had sat out of the brine for a day or two or maybe he was in the freezer, I asked for a fresh pickle and got something crunchy and beautiful. The less than good. The cleanliness. OMG. The touchscreen ordering is disgusting. Splotches of grease. The surfaces and floors, and it was only a Wednesday and the kids were back in school so not summertime. Pretty appalling. I had an excellent visit at The Melt today and Jordan C was very attentive and had good customer service. The food was Incredible. I tried the patty melt and it is my new favorite item. My friends and I sat outside, the ambiance was nice with some light mall traffic outside. Perfect temperature to sit on the patio. First time trying melt My Wife loves a patty melt so that's what we went with nice buttery toasted bread. The hamburger patty was fine. The only disappointing thing I opened my half of the sandwich and added some mustard and noticed I had no grilled onions. The whole sandwich was lacking, grilled onions, so the patty melt was just basic. I went to The Melt at Irvine spectrum today. First time. I ordered at the kiosk, a melt burger with no sauce. They have pagers there, which I put the number in in order for them to page me. When my order was ready. 20 minutes later I still had no food. There was only one person inside the restaurant. I went up to the counter and asked what was going on with my order. The girl asked me what my pager number was and I told her it was 72. I told her nobody paged me. She said she already made it!! And I said so, where is it and she said I'll just make you another one and I repeated my question again. Well, where is it if you already made it and she repeated her answer I'll just make you another one and then asked her. Did you throw it away?? And she said no I'll just make you another one at this point I gave up and asked for my money back as I was leaving the girl said I think we gave his order to somebody else. She should've just said in the beginning that she inadvertently gave it to somebody else, but she didn't lousy way to start a relationship. I will never go back to the melt again. read more

This is one of my favorite places to get a quick meal at the Spectrum. It's located in food court row by Dave & Busters, and there's easy parking nearby in the main parking structure. My favorite is probably the Mac Daddy sandwich. Mac n cheese, bacon, on a grilled cheese! I had them add raw onion, and changed the bread to the spicy garlic bread, so good! They offer order kiosks, and these make it easy to customize your options on your meal. They also text you when your order is ready, and they have a frequent buyer program. read more

My daughter wanted to eat at the Melt during lunch time. Wasn't very busy. We ordered and waited. 10 minutes went by so we checked the progress of the order and said it had been sent to the kitchen. We waited another 10 minutes went and everyone around us already ate and left. When we checked again, the staff said they didn't get the order but somehow when they looked, surprise, they found it. So it took 25 min to get a grilled cheese sandwich when it wasn't busy. At least the person behind the count could have been more sincere and apologetic about it. read more

Today i tried a spicy chicken sandwich, regular chicken sandwich and their burger. If im being completely honest, the spicy sandwich was good but the burger tasted a bit bland, not just that my bottom bun was all greasy and oily so i had to eat it flying dutchman style. The regular crispy chicken sandwich was also bland almost had no flavor compared to the spicy. I do suggest you try their fries though!
