The "Mac Daddy"

Pretty good! The "mac daddy" could definitely be a little more flavorful... Other wise, the fries were good and the people working there were nice :)

The Melt Burger

if you are looking for a nice place to have a burger and a beer...this isn't it. This would be a good place for the locals in Mill Valley to get an inexpensive grab and go lunch but it is not a destination point if you are looking for a place to go. Very few seats inside and the food was just ok. We had the Melt Burger, the potato pancakes and the MacMelt. The burger was a bit under cooked and i am not a fan of the sweet pickle relish they ise. I added tomatoes to the burger and the slices of tomatoes were thicker than the burger patty. I was pretty disappointed in the potato pancakes as they seemed to be frozen bulk food and then fried. Not much taste and we didn't eat them all. This was our first and only time to go there but locals may find other things on the expansive menu they like. It seemed to be popular so maybe it was what we ordered. We were passing through and looking for a place to sit inside and have a good burger and this one fell short.

How can you order mac and cheese without bread crumbs?

Hi Dom! The Melty Mac has the option to remove the breadcrumbs when you click on the item to order. If you have any questions or do not see it, you can text our Guest Experience team at 415-992-8206! :)

What is melt sauce? I can't seem to find a description anywhere

Hey Lauren, great question! Melt sauce is our version of a tangy thousand island sauce :)

My friends and I managed to beat the lunch crowd when we arrived at Watershed at Mill Valley…read moreLumberyard, and we were able to be seated right away at a large table that fit all nine of us. Because we were such a large group, we ordered a couple of vegetable platters and pizzas to share. This also allowed us to try several of the pizzas, which helped mitigate the angst of missing out because all of the varieties sounded delicious. We started off with the vegetable platter, which featured roasted vegetables and squash served over a bed of lentils and seasoned yogurt sauce with toasted pita on the side. I love almost any roasted vegetable, and the yogurt sauce made everything taste elevated; I could have easily finished off the vegetable platter on my own, but I restrained myself to save room for the pizza. My favorite pizza had to be the Calabrian chile and ricotta pizza, which stood out with its sweet, creamy ricotta and the slow burn from the chile oil that lingered long after the last bite. The other pizzas were solid, although they were your more typical pizza combos (cheese, mushroom, meat combo). We spotted buffalo milk gelato on the dessert menu, so we ordered a round of scoops to finish off our lunch. The buffalo milk resulted in a creamier, silkier texture than regular cow's milk gelato (I think?), and it was very tasty!

Watershed can be found in the Mill Valley Lumber Yard, which also has a few cool shops, a toy store, wine tasting room, ice cream spot, and more. We made a reservation ahead of time and so glad we did because they were booked up for this special weekend. With beautiful weather, this spot was alive with large parties. Also, the World Cup was on and patrons were enjoying watching the game(s) inside too. If we were to come back, I would def sit outside with a group on a nice day. Outside there was corn hole and lotsa tables to enjoy a casual meal and vibes. Our party ordered a round of margaritas, and menu standouts included the burger, fried chicken sandwich (the paprika aioli is stellar), the kale salad (topped with chickpeas, quinoa, walnuts, and more), grilled cheeses for the kiddos, and the "Burning Love" pizza. There's a little bit of something for everyone on the menu here, and everything was so fresh, comforting, and just elevated. The meat in the burger was something to highlight, and I loved the thick cut fries. I would try a pizza on the next trip like the "Swim Club" served with Calabrian chile honey, or the "Peach Pie" because why not, it's summer! Service was okay, but it was also such a busy time of a day that everyone was just doing the best they could. All in all, highly recommend if in the area and looking for a lovely time/afternoon.

So you get a small and intimate feel where seated outdoors (so pleasant) or indoors. They have live jazz style music playing. There's some shade in the mini courtyards outside seating but even if there's sun, they have portable patio umbrellas. Staff immediately brought out cushions and a water bowl for my fur babies; they were so sweet!! Bathrooms are clean . Oh and indoors is soooo cute. Rustic but cozy!! Happy hour is 4-6 pm at the "bar section" only, separate from the main restaurant. Go early as its first come first serve. I tried the crispy buffalo wings which was good. But the walla walla waffle chips with onion dip was phenomenal. Such deep rich flavor dip. I also tried the half dozen raw oysters; the accompanying sauce and lemon enhanced the flavor perfectly. My server Maya was so sweet and patient. She checked in at the appropriate times and frequency. Gave awesome recommendations and just had such a warm and happy demeanor. Julyssys (?) was so kind and hard working too! Overall I'm very pleased with my experience and look forward to returning!! Thank you! From Pumpernickel & Pierogi

I thought it was really good and the service was excellent. We got the brunch price fix and three out of four things were excellent. One could have used some improvement . We each got a salad to start . My Caesar salad was a very large portion and one of the best I've had. My husband loved the tomato salad with burrata and pesto and olives. The grilled salmon with summer squash was also a generous size and very good. The Bungalow Benedict was somewhat disappointing-- crammed on s much too small plate and the hollandaise was cold. It wasn't awful but just not up to the standard it should be especially at that price. Home fries were hot and tasty. Nice looking place with a wall of windows looking out at the water. We had to ask to move our seats because the chairs were too low for the tables ( in our opinion) but our waiter was very nice and it was not a problem. We had a nice view of the water. We parked on the street on a Saturday mid morning with no problem. Waiter, host and bussers were all great. It was quite a pleasant experience.
