This review needs a bit of context. I was in a group of 7 people who went out to eat. My buddy, one of the smartest guys I know, decided that the Melting Pot would be a great place to go eat. For how smart he is, this was an ignorant decision. I immediately noticed the confusing layout of the restaurant. If you are into mazes, I am sure you will love it. Then, when we were sat, I looked at the menu. They need to call the servers Professors for how much they had to explain the menu. I have been through calculus classes that were easier to understand than the Melting Pot menu. I also noticed the exorbitant price for meat that I was cooking myself. I got the steak dinner with a nice refreshing Coca-Cola. My meal alone was $50 with an added 20% gratuity. I am usually a generous tipper, but seeing the added gratuity truly rubbed me the wrong way. I had to cook the food myself, on a skillet. I've never been to a restaurant that had tutorials on how to cook food, but I know I never want to go through that experience again. I would describe the whole ordeal as draining. Draining to both my wallet and my brain. If you are with a big group of people, I would not suggest this place. However, if you were going on a date or something, I'm sure it would be nice. Just be prepared to have a dissertation read to you while you are trying to navigate through the process all while questioning "Why did I come here?". This dinner strained my relationship with a good friend, would not recommend. read more

AMAZING!!!! Our server Myranda was so sweet and knowledgeable and the food was so delicious! The cheese was so good and so were the meats. And I definitely recommend the Mojo broth for your meats! And my Caesar salad was absolutely the best salad I've ever eaten. And don't even get me started on the delicious chocolate. While the meal was pricey, you absolutely get what you pay for. Disappointing... we've been to several locations throughout the US and this was the worst. Took my daughter for her Sweet 16. The hostess was wearing a bandana as a mask, jeans and an unkempt blouse. The table we were seated at was at a weird angle and to reach the fondue pot from one chair. Had to reach across other food/raw food. The broccoli was bad and looked old... no dipper brought for my daughter, only bread, even after we asked. I got the wrong salad. Waiter brought out the cheese and just a few minutes later, the salads. We hadn't even started the salads and he brought the broth for cooking the meats, put it side by side with the cheese, which we weren't finished with. We had to ask him to slow down. He took that too literally and after we got our broth, we didn't see him... once we were done it was over 30 minutes of us sitting there, waiting for someone to bring the chocolate. FINALLY, a shorter lady with dark hair, glasses and a key around her arm came by and asked how it was. We told her the experience and she laughed at us... that was it. Not a thing was done for my daughter's birthday. The usually write Happy Birthday in chocolate on a plate, nope, nothing... Ridiculous experience, horrible customer service for a meal that cost $140!!!! We will not return and go to the Pensacola location instead. read more

Had a great time at our first Melting Pot visit. As first timers we weren't 100% confident in how everything works but our host Jess was amazing and helped a ton to make sure me and my girlfriend had a great evening. Food was delicious. One drawback is the lighting we had at our booth (which are very private!) but that wasn't important enough to remove 1 star. We love Melting Pot, but not this location. Have had cheese and chocolate here twice and both times it was not a good experience. This time we wanted a two burner table (to have two cheeses and two chocolates), but they claimed they couldn't accommodate us, even though there were two-burner tables available when we arrived and left. The waiter could not properly mix the cheeses or chocolate. I had to stir the cheeses a lot more to get the lumps out. The chocolate came out literally cold. I had to turn up the burner and work the chocolate for about 10 minutes. They only gave us enough chocolate for 2, not 4. The waiter should have given me a tip for all my service! My rule is now "Seafood on beach vacations, not Melting Pot". read more

So.... I absolutely love melting pot but this time it was just ok. We had to wait much longer for the food. (but hey they were probably just short staff so that part is fine.) I had what I get every time but it just wasn't as great. I had the dinner for two. My mother had gotten the love martini. (a drink she gets very often.) but it just wasn't very good. It might be because it was just sitting at the bar for a solid 10 minutes before it was severed to us. Was very excited when we saw this driving past so decided to stop in for dinner. the things I enjoyed: chocolate fondue, tasty choices of chocolate mixtures, nice selection of fruit and little cakes to dip into it, but I think the amount of chocolate fondue was kind of little, we had to use it sparingly. There are a lot of options for the cheese fondue, we went with a basic Wisconsin fondue. It was tasty, cheesy, just as you'd expect but the food to dip inside was very disappointing. 80% bread, 1 baby carrot snapped in half, 3 tiny cauliflower florets, 3 tint broccoli florets and a few cubes of apple. I would have liked more than basically bread to dip.. maybe like some prosciutto or salami, grapes etc. We didnt really like the idea of cooking our own entrees although we were aware of this when we came here. it just takes so long, for the grilling option. It also would have been nice to keep the cheese fondue throughout the whole meal.. afterall, that is one of the selling points of this restaurant. The house salad is very disappointing, 90% lettuce with 8% chopped tomatoes and 2% shredded cheese. Not even some onions? corn? cucumbers? carrots? you know, basic salad ingredients. The best part was probably the chocolate fondue. overall, i would go back to try the other cheese fondues and chocolate fondues only. skip the mains. read more

We just went in for dessert and 45 minutes after ordering had our chocolate fondue with forgotten cheesecake,no water in glasses and no server to be found. She was the manager/ server. Don't take reservations or parties you can't accommodate. I saw her once and the bill had 20% gratuity added. Smart of her because there no way I would have tipped $20 for her service or lack of. Jacob was our server. When I asked about the endless entree special, he acted as if he didn't know. I pulled out my phone to show him and he still said he was going to go ask his manager. Why would I lie Jacob. Just because "no one else has ordered it" as you said, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. He seemed bothered by us from the time we sat down. When I asked for more veggies (he brought out 1 tray for 6 people) he said they were "out" but I saw other wait staff bringing out veggies. When he brought the sauces, only 2 had spoons in them, so I asked for more and he said "they're being washed" but again, other staff were bringing out sauces with spoons in all. He never collected the menus after we ordered, he didn't tell us about the cookies and cream dessert fondue although I heard another server tell her table about it. I spilled a whole glass of water, and he made no effort to get napkins or anything to clean it up and he was standing there when i accidentally spilled it. Again, he was bothered by us. Don't know if it was because we were the only black family in the restaurant or if it was just a poor service. Either way, not the best experience. I still tipped him $65 bucks on the $400 bill (15%) because I do tip, but i was disappointed with Jacobs service overall. read more

Overall pleasant experience, but not the kind of quality the we expect at this price point.... We went here to celebrate my wife's birthday! The overall vibe of the place is dated and dingy. The bathrooms, windows and booths all are a condition that needs a deep cleaning and a face lift. The food quality was good, and the flavors were great. The service was excellent. However several of the fondue forks that were in our kits had obvious cheese residue on them from previous customers. My wife ordered a cup of hot water with lemon, and the handle of the cup was sticky and weird. We paid extra for the special treatment with rose petals and roses on the table.
