My husband and I have used this app for many reservations, no issues.For this reservation, we received emails, a text and a phone call to confirm on reservation. Dude, we were coming! Once we arrived, which was a few minutes before our reservation, we still waited for 20 minutes to be seated. This was our first issue. Lucky for them, we were talking about walking out as they finally seated us. Once arriving to the table, I noticed there was food still stuck on the melting pot. That was disappointing as we attended this dinner for a special event, dressed up, made reservations and there was dried food. One of my photos shows this. Not the biggest issue but this restaurant is expensive! Our waitress was very pleasant. Wish we knew her name but she was a blonde German woman! Friendly and paid attention to drink levels, even making small talk often. Lovely! Our food... overall was good. My favorite was the salad and the dessert. The meat was good but they cooking flavor wasn't strong at all. Personally, I ordered an adult beverage that came in a Tiki glass and was bright blue. Even without a reservation, we were seated quickly in the bar area--and I was pleasantly surprised to see burners built right into the bar top. Very cool touch! The place was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything felt well taken care of--including the restrooms, which were fully stocked and spotless. Please remember, this is a dining experience and you need to plan plenty of time to enjoy all the options and courses available. Pricing was reasonable, at around $70 per person (4-course meal, drinks, and tip) and we spent about 3+ hours having great conversation and enjoying excellent food. I got my husband a gift card for Christmas so we decided to use it tonight on New Year's Eve. The restaurant is located on Gate Parkway so getting in and out is very convenient. They had a special menu tonight that included a champagne toast. It also included the choice of cheddar or Swiss cheese dip, a Ceasar or wedge salad, an entree course with steak, chicken, shrimp, broccoli, mushrooms, and potatoes, and then a dessert course. Everything tasted great and there was a lot of food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the seating we had. It was a tiny booth with only two sides against a wall. Our server Danny is so knowledgeable and personable. The manager even came by to introduce herself and let us knew she is here for us. Very classy and upscale. The hostess was super sweet as well. Very personal me and professional. The bar tender maybe sommelier came over (did not introduce themselves) with a carafe of the wine I ordered: the petit petit Malbec which is $13 at Total Wine. Here it is $11 for 5 oz. He did a great job pouring the sip sample wine into my glass and allowing me time to decide it was good to continue the pour...but I knew the price point -so it's not that serious this would be a great service for a wine that costs $100 a bottle-which clearly they have. Our server Danny was over the top amazing with the ways he added his own touch to really make the experience unique. For example, he added Bailey's Irish Cream to our chocolate fondue! We ordered the mojo broth and he suggested that the seasoning and fruit boil in the broth and not just squeeze the juice. This server should be requested anytime you book. No one was like him-as I listened to the other servers. He made our birthday celebration a 5 star experience. *Advice: you do not need to order any extra dessert options off the menu. The 4 course meal comes with the typical chocolate fondue dipping items. I made the mistake and added "sweet ending" and it was macarons, cheesecake and cream puffs. We could not finish it. Unfortunately, our server rushed us, repeatedly, through the meal. 4 people to celebrate a birthday. $300 check for 4 people. We asked for more of the veggies and he seemed put-off. He even continued to take plates away after we expressed that we were still eating. When dessert time came, the check quickly followed and he dropped and ran giving us no time to ask for additional dippers to consume the chocolate we still had in both pots. The busboy came asking to collect our plates and instead we asked for more dippers (we had 1/2 the chocolate in each pot left!). They brought back a tiny plate and portion of additional dippers. The waiter came back for the check and again, grabbed and ran leaving no time to speak. When he came back, he could observe that we still had 1/4 pot of each (2 pots total) and simply wished us a quick goodnight and happy birthday to our party member. Every interaction with our waiter from the main course through dessert, we felt rushed (the beginning of the meal did not start that way). This was a birthday that was planned and looked forward to for some time now. We could have gone to many other restaurants ~ We drove an hour to get here. I decided to go to the melting pot to celebrate my college graduation this weekend. I am a vegan so I have dietary restrictions but from their website it seemed they had a few vegan options, so I decided to try it out. I got the vegan cheese fondue to start, the garden pot as my meal, and the vegan chocolate fondue. The vegan cheese was possibly the best vegan cheese I have ever had in my 5 years of veganism. It came with bread, broccoli, and celery to dip. The garden pot was a little disappointing. It did not come with artichoke hearts or onions like it listed on the menu. My fondue option was a seasoned vegetable broth which made my veggies mushy. The server also mentioned that my polpettes were from a frozen package, and they looked unappetizing, so I didn't eat those. The vegan chocolate fondue was just dark chocolate. It did not come with pineapples, blueberries, or raspberries like it said on the menu. So, my only options were strawberries and bananas. The ambiance was nice, it was a dark restaurant and there were some private corner tables I saw which I'm sure you could ask for. Our server was nice, but didn't seem very knowledgeable about ingredients or dietary restrictions. Overall, I would go again, but I would only go for the cheese fondue and chocolate fondue and skip the entree! read more

Where to begin with this splendid place. We have a 5,6 and 7 year old and this by far was their best dining experience. Now they want to go there all the time. We told them just for special occasions, so they said good we can all go for every holiday. Service is great and helpful with having the best experience. The food is fantastic from the cheese fondue to the meat selection to the decadent chocolate, of course the kids favorite part. Always a great food adventure with a great atmosphere. Came here for my friend's "baby shower" dinner Super easy to book the reservation online. The staff was very friendly and the manager came by to check on us throughout the evening. One of the ladies in the group has celiac disease and we needed to do a gluten free option. The restaurant easily accommodated her needs. The food was fantastic and the ladies enjoyed their cocktails and mocktails. All of their desserts minus the S'mores are gluten free. The Melting Pot is an experience! We did the four course option which is fondue, salad, entree, and dessert. Prices range depending on which entree you choose but on average it would be $45 per person without drinks. The Melting Pot to me is for special occasions however I know that the Melting Pot offers specials like Date Night Thursdays and 1/2 price cocktails. This evening was to be a special evening to celebrate a big birthday! While the reservation was noted as a "celebration", no one on staff asked about it, and I honestly forgot that I had mentioned it. It was a good evening sharing food with friends, and since we hadn't been to this type of restaurant in about 12-15 years, it was a good experience, albeit a tad expensive. Honestly, I would have expected a tad more meat and dessert selections for the price spent, but the Brie & Fig cheese fondue was the best of the 3 of our selections. Dinner cooking option of coq au vin was a bit bland actually, with our meats seriously lacking in flavor. There was no salt or pepper on the table to use and we forgot to ask about it, so that's our bad there, but the available dipping sauces helped. Our friends selected the grill option and it was slow to cook as the temperature was set too low to cook and took a while to get everything to cook. The dessert fondue was lacking any pineapple slices and again, could have used a few more pieces to round things out to use up the chocolate. While we did mention I was severely allergic to nuts, our server forgot this and ended up serving nut options in my dessert so I had to request a fresh plate without any nuts. We also had to ask 3 times for drink refills, which in my opinion we should not have to ask for this if the server was paying attention. This was our first time visiting The Melting Pot, so we were excited for the fondue but confused about the menu logistics. The meal is designed to be a four course meal, all through the al a cart menu. There are two advertised deals for two people -- we had three people and the waitress informed us that it was possible to do that deal with three people. The first course is cheese. We chose 2 servings of the Wisconsin Cheddar and one of the Quattro Formaggio. They serve a tray with light and dark bread (including pretzel bread), broccoli and cauliflower, and green apples. The green apples in the Quattro Formaggio were VERY GOOD. Second course is salad. The Cesar and strawberry spinach salads were good, and not large portions (which was good!). If you are ordering a la cart, I would personally recommend NOT paying $6 for the small portion. We ordered two cook styles for the entree: Court Boullion (vegetable broth) and the Coq Au Vin (wine and mushroom). We ordered the Land and Sea, and the Garden Pot. Cooking times are provided, in addition to a flight of sauces. Favorites for us was the artichoke in the Coq Au Vin, and salmon in the Boullion and the Coq. For dessert: we had the Yin and Yang and the Caramel Toffee Crunch. The Yin and Yang was by far the better choice. Be careful if this is for a date night. We spent almost 3 hours in the restaurant -- which seems pretty normal. Just make sure you like the person. FYI: Bathroom is a little hard to find. My boyfriend brought me here on one of our date nights this past weekend and it was my first fondue restaurant experience. We were sat in a cute little booth fully by itself. It was so nice because we're not massive "people people" so it felt like it was just us. Our server was very nice and well-paced. I can't remember his name, but a tall gentleman with glasses. He explained everything very well and answered all of our questions. There were lots of terms I hadn't seen before and I didn't want to just sit there on my phone googling everything either. The menu is a lot if you're new so I would add time accordingly. We were there for around 2 1/2 hours (I believe) which was great and we didn't feel rushed. We did the 4 courses that they have so cheese, salad, main, and dessert. You can mix and match a lot which is really cool so you don't have to try anything you really don't want. Everything was fun to try. We also tried a center cut steak and I'm glad I did because it was my favorite part of the main! 10/10 recommend adding that. Overall, it was a really fun experience and a great date night. The bill was a little under $200 which isn't the worst, but taste wise - I would probably not come back. I loved the cheese course and the center cut steak though and service is great. "Vegan menu" = vegan cheese and chocolate, but little else.The vegan cheese was good, but the dippers were just carrots, celery, and broccoli- they didn't have a vegan bread. The salad course was ok - mostly lettuce. This would have been a good opportunity to add some chickpeas or something for protein. The Garden Pot entree was also just veggies - apparently the Impossible Polpettes aren't vegan according to our waitress. There were only 2 sauces that were vegan - no vegan version of the green goddess or ginger garlic butter. For the chocolate course, the dark chocolate was great,, but we just had strawberries and bananas, no cake or other fruit. Overall, it felt a $40 meal max, not a $109 meal. read more

It has been at least 10 years since my last visit to a Melting Pot. We weren't celebrating anything but we decided at random to go visit the Jacksonville location on a Tuesday night. Things started out kind of rocky with the hostess telling us a few times that they were short staffed. I get telling us that and it did take slightly longer than usual to get drinks ordered but after that, the visit was great. We had Sue Ann for a server and she was great! She also mentioned they were short staffed but unless she and the hostess had mentioned it, we never would've known. She explained everything to us and all the courses came with no delay in between. I could be wrong, but I felt like there was more variety in "The Big Night Out" meal than I had the last time I went to a Melting Pot. 10+ years in between visits will do that to you lol. The yummy goodness is definitely there. The ability to ask for more portions is also a plus, but to spend $100* for two people on the Big Night Out for Two was over-priced.
