We went to The Mill solely based on Yelp reviews. And, let me just say that I'm so thankful people took the time to write them! We were NOT disappointed!! The 20 minute wait was well worth our time. We had a semi large group, and the table went quiet when the food arrived. We were all too busy enjoying our meals to speak, and for a party of eight chatty women, that's saying a lot! I had a grilled chicken panini. THE BREAD was so fresh and soft and grilled. I was in heaven with each bite of the aioli and chicken. It was huge! I took half home and happily ate it for dinner. The bread was still perfect. I don't live in town, but I look forward to eating at The Mill when I visit. It's definitely on my radar now! read more

I've been coming here for a long time. Probably over 20 years actually. The pizza has always been good. They have a nice selection of pasta too. My new favorite is the warmed spinach salad though. I work for the City so we have an hour to chow down so my colleague n I decided to hit the Mill for a quick bite and they did not disappoint! First time dining in and just love that we can watch the cooks eat. We sat at the bar area for a 'bird's eye view'. We both shared the Mill pizza and again, I fell in love! The ambiance was great! It allowed us to step away from work n dis engage for an hour. Our service was phenomenal! I love how our server came to our table at the right time, not overwhelming n not lacking of. The Mill epitomizes old town Murrieta. Down home food prepared and served by locals. I can't go to the mill without running into someone I know. This is where we bring friends and family to show them what Murrieta is all about. My wife and I love their salads and pasta dishes. I lean toward the unusual dishes like Thai pasta, while my wife prefers the more traditional Italian cuisine. If you can agree with your date, I recommend splitting one of their gigantic salads and then split a pasta dish or small pizza. read more

A 2nd over cooked semi-burnt Omelette. The waitress suggested that we replace the original order with a scrambled egg mix. So that the eggs will not be over cooked and browned. The cook told the waitress that he redid the omelette and should take it to the customer. As you can see the replacement is much worse than the original order. We left without further replacements and paid the bill. On the way out the cook confronted us and threatened us with physical harm. We are both senior citizens. The Manager came to our rescue and apologized and canceled the bill. Please be aware that the cook is confrontational and will take any criticism you have against you. This place is a hostile environment. The cook apparently was offended and didn't take it lightly. read more

Nice comfy restaurant that offers a large variety of menu items. The salads are large enough to split! We shared one that had a tasty sun dried tomato dressing and added chicken. My family and I came here as a going-away party to celebrate my leaving for college tomorrow, and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing - we ordered Utah's Antipasto Salad, the Lemon Shrimp Pasta, and the Mill Twice Baked Pasta. We ate everything off our plates! Usually we leave a restaurant with some food leftover, but these plates were too good to leave anything behind! After dinner we had both the chocolate cake and the banana chocolate chip cheesecake. The chocolate cake was amazing, and the cheesecake was certainly an interesting flavor, but my grandma enjoyed it. Service was fairly good, however since we came close to closing time our waitress did seem to be a little busy with closing duties. But besides that, we will definitely be coming again! Enjoyed three eggs, home potatoes and sour dough toast. It was very good. I asked for the potatoes to browned up and they did it. So, i took my boyfriend to the mill 7/14/24 on his birthday for dinner. Your entire cooking staff was engaged in a political discussion regarding the attempted assassination of former President Trump. I was shocked at the words coming out of your staffs mouths as I sat at your bar area. The conversation continued amongst themselves and directly in front of your customers. I heard them state (and they were loud/not trying to be discrete at all) they wished it would have been successful (the assassination attempt) and proceeded to talk about their political stance for the democratic party. My 13 year old was also with us listening to this trash talk. We were we made to feel completely uncomfortable during a birthday celebration dinner. I will never step foot in your establishment again and with my 17k following on ig. I'm going to make sure the rest of murrieta also knows about your staff and political stance. My first time here and had a bad experience from the very beginning. I will not be back. Our waitress was very kind and cordial. The food was okay, and probably tainted by my initial bad experience when I walked in the door. A word to restaurant owner: please train and advise your front desk "girls" (I put in parentheses because that is what they are: inexperienced young girls) that good customer service is paramount in the restaurant industry. Having a flippant, uncaring, non-empathetic, haughty demeanor, is very unappealing to customers. The only reason we stayed and ate was because of the kindness and experience of our waitress. It's a cute little spot in old town murrieta. It's actually in a great location for the murrieta community. I've been here a couple times, once for breakfast and once for a company lunch. Service is great! They're actually all super nice and attentive. As far as food....I was hoping for more. My husband and I went there for breakfast and the breakfast menu is average. I think for a family style restaurant they should at least have country fried steak and corned beef hash. We ordered off of the scrambled items and our food was not that great. I just felt like it was mush on a skillet My coworkers wanted to try something new or a new place and we chose the Mill for lunch. We placed the order over the phone and picked up. Again customer service is awesome here. The girls are super attentive and willing to help. We had a variety of food that was ordered like pasta, sandwiches, salads among other things. My boss is vegetarian so she ordered the Thai salad. She said it was very dry and bland. For a vegetarian to say that there must be something wrong. The chicken bacon ranch panini was amazing!!! My coworker said the Black Forest ham florentine on focaccia was also amazing. Both were really good portioned. We had leftovers for lunch the next day. I ordered a 10 inch for the growing little man with mushrooms only. The dough was pretty good, a fluffier thicker crust with a light ueasty flavor not bad. The kid enjoyed it and is taking the other half home for dinner. I ordered the Mill Alfredo which is an alfredo with provolone in it. Very light flavor a bit under seasoned for my taste but mothing a generous sprinkling of pepper and a pinch of salt wont fix. Comes with toast and butter.
