We had a reservation for 4 on a Friday night and it was packed. Though, you can go to the bar thats separate from their restaurant if you dont have any reservations. The restaurant generally closes down before the bar closes down, but if you stay while theyre cleaning up the dining area, they will not push you to leave. So it felt comfortable staying and catching up with our friends. Great steak, but everything else is average/below average. Our friends ordered oysters as an appetizers and had to wait an hour before the server told them that it wasnt available. We ordered the Dirty Pork Fries with an added egg and our appetizer was sent to us within 15 minutes. We shouldnt have added the egg because we ended up getting full off of this appetizer. Disappointed in the delay in appetizers, our friends only ordered entrees. They ordered the USDA Prime Strip and USDA Prime Ribeye. My fiance and I ordered a Wagyu Hanger to share. All of our dishes except the ribeye, mashed potatoes came plain with no gravy or any type of sauce. All our dishes except the ribeye, had overgreased vegetables. Steaks also did not have any sauce, so we had to request it. The steaks were juicy enough that i felt the sauce masked the flavor and texture, but for the others having no sauce can be understandable of a confusion. For dessert, dont remember what it was called, but it had banana bread with an ice cream on top. Funny thing was that was the quickest one that arrived. It wasnt a frozen premade dessert and was authentically put together. Staff seemed annoyed that our friends arrived 30 minutes past our reservation time even though we arrived on time. Also seemed annoyed when we asked for steak sauce and when our friends asked questions about the menu. One thing to note is your final bill will include a 4% product inflation charge. Apparently this goes with any bill and is added for the owner. They can remove it if you dont like it. Its just for the owner. Another note to add is parking can be packed. Its in the same parking lot as another restaurant and Safeway. Overall, we will not come back here again. The steak itself isnt enough to push us to come back. read more

Finally decided to meet another couple here for drinks and food during happy hour. We sat in the large bar area, a bit more casual than expected but noticed later going to the restroom the dining area was a little more updated. Our server was very tentative and friendly. I started with a vodka Collins as we tend to drink WELL Drinks on HH since they are typically between $4-7. We were shocked to find out when bill came that they were $9 with $1 hh discount, yikes!! We even made sure to make it clear we were fine w/ HOUSE booze yet our bill said Tito's, J. Daniels, etc. So that was a bit upsetting. For food we ordered dz. oysters, delicious but at $36 ( on menu but charged $3it didn't come with a mignonette, just a mere tablespoon of cocktail sauce. The HH burgers were on much smaller scale, no side at $8 but tasty. The HH fries still a hefty $8-9. We really should have just ordered off regular menu to have more food and for not much more cost since fries came with most items. The couple with us had a platter of Thai wings and the pistachio prawns, both looked delicious and they seemed to devour them. For nearly $200 w/tip for the little bit of food we had and ordering supposedly cheap drinks we certainly didn't get a bill reflecting such. Popped in yesterday for a bit to eat after work. Service was prompt, food was pretty dang good! We ate in the bar because it was almost happy hour and the restaurant was very slow. I've heard great things about this restaurant and have been driving by it to and from work for the last 5 years, tonight was the night I finally stopped in! Tuesday night is trivia night at the bar, so we chose not to sit in there but good to know they have trivia! We were seated right away. The menu had a good selection and so many things I wanted to try but the flank steak was calling my name. It was cooked perfectly and the shoe string fries and seasonal veggies were delicious. My husband got the burger and hardly said a word while eating it, it seemed as if he couldn't eat it fast enough. Location is close to home. It is located in the parking lot of a Safeway. Prices are on the higher end and they try to make this place seem a little fancier. The inside is cutely decorated with logging decor. It seemed to have taken such a long time to get our food. There was 4 adults, and 2 1/2 kids and the kids were definitely getting impatient having to wait for their order. The food was yummy. Most of the dishes come out on a large cutting board. Still great food and excellent service! The pistachio prawns were plump. They could have gone lighter with the mayo, but it was easy to remove the excess. We really love the Mill and frequent it quite often since we live close. Things we love? Well, the pistachio prawns are a must. We like their wedge salad (it has fennel and I love that). My husband gets the cowboy steak every time and he always enjoys it. Fish and chips is a solid choice. The fish has been seeming to be a little dry under the breading. Came to the Mill Steakhouse that is situated in a busy intersection where it was a bit of a challenge to get a parking spot, but possible so don't let that discourage you. We came early on a Friday night so we could try the Fri/Sat night prime rib night. Quite easy to get seating either in or out of the bar area around 5:00pm. We did the dinner area, but my instinct is that you should get a booth in the bar area as it seems livelier. Started with a few old fashion rye cocktails that were good and I followed up with a Fig Manhattan that was good too. The prime rib portions were hearty and came in a perfect medium rare on the rare side that was great for us. Some mash potatoes were good, and vegetables came on the side. I might have preferred baked potato or some French fry's instead next time. The atmosphere was quite open, and Mill Steakhouse reminded me of an upscale Outback Steakhouse. The food quality and service were great, just seemed a bit overpriced although my wife thought it was great. I think she loved it because the prime rib was a perfect rare and she loves rare meat. I can see coming back to the bar area the next time and doing more drinking and eating a bit more cheaper entrees to get the right cost to happiness ratio. read more

It's been a couple years since I have been here and wanted to refresh my review. It was a little slow for a lunch crowd. The hostess was very friendly and sat us as soon as we came in. She is clearly new and did her best to get our drinks going. The waitress came out a bit later and informed us of what was off the menu and if we had questions. Being GF I asked about some options. I ordered an Ahi tuna salad and my guys ordered burgers. While waiting for our food the waitress brought food to the table next to us. They ordered "Filthy Fries" and did those look good. The food came out and my plate looked fantastic. Took my first bite and I was blown away. Tuna was seasoned and seared perfectly. This has to be one of the best salads I have had. Had another nice experience here, although be it on the more expensive side. Had, perhaps, the best Old Fashioned I've ever had as well as an excellent Brussel sprout appetizer. My friends ribeye was cooked with care and was a perfect medium. The actual cut of steak was rather fatty but that's the dice you roll with certain cuts of steak. Again, the cook on the steak was superb and that's what counts. I got the halibut and chips with clam chowder: both were good, but in the PNW you need to have GREAT of either of these to catch it attention, which these did not. Good not great. Will be back again. The service was REALLY good. The waiter, the bus staff, the water refills. Really well done on the front of house staff. Inside the restaurant is a collection of low booths and tables with chairs.
