    beef pies

Picked up food here a couple weeks ago and the man who helped me (I think an owner?) was so sweet and friendly. Everything was piping hot when it got home and packed so carefully. I got the beef pies, shrimp & pork wontons, and woodear mushroom. It was so filling and the beef pies were juicy! and hearty I only popped in briefly for pickup, but the restaurant was cozy and casual. Had a really lovely family vibe. Easy parking in the attached lot too.

First time trying Beijing Pie House and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was very roomy and has a great seating arrangement. The workers were friendly and attentive to our needs. The meat pies are extremely delicious and piping hot, so would recommend to give them a few minutes before biting into one. My favorite was the pork/shrimp chives dumpling, it was juicy and packed a wonderful punch. Would recommend giving them a try.

Haven't been here in forever. I feel like this business has changed hands over the years or at least since I last been here. Anyways, got a Lamb & Summer Squash Pie 4pcs. It was fresh, hot and delicious. Really juicy (splatter everywhere/drips). Also happy to find another option to get my cold appetizer/sides. This place is still open for dining! I was here on November 10, 2025 and came with family. This place is delicious, especially the scallion pancakes, meat pies (juicy and hot temperature), beef rolls and leek + shrimp dumplings. I highly recommend for an authentic Beijing style cuisine meal. Service is excellent and swift. Ambiance is relaxed and quiet. It's a local mom and pop shop

Handmade, you can tell by the texture of their dumplings, meat pies, meat pancakes. Thick filled meat pies Family dines in and we order some to go. Those meat pies can microwave well and perfect for quick meals. Just noticed my old review 13 years ago 2012. Yup, still eating with the family here

We always love this place and everything y we order. And by the way, we always end up ordering way too much. The waitress was so sweet and actually discouraged us from ordering so much food The place is very casual, but friendly The food is delicious You literally can't go wrong.

While the place is a total dive (small & basic), the food at the Beijing Pie House is wonderful! Service was welcoming and good. We started with the cucumber salad (crunchy and fresh), then to the scallion noodles (outstanding), and the Napa cabbage & beef pies (really good). We will be back!

This is my to go foods. Love their pork & green onion pie, house special pie, Napa cabbage & pork pie. When kids happy, we are happy too. They also selling frozen dumpling. Pork, lamb and beef. $35 for 50.

What we ordered: (2) 10 Fennel Pork (Boiled) Dumplings $25.98 (2) 10 Stuffed with Pork & Celery (Boiled) Dumplings $25.98 I love dumplings and I like to think I know dumpling pretty well as I'm married to a Northern Chinese girl. Our family eats dumpling quite often throughout the year. Not to mention, I live in Beijing for 5 years. Let's say, I know dumplings pretty well. The dumplings here are very good. There's not disputing that. My wife, her parents, my son and myself all thought the dumplings were very good. With that said, these dumplings are very expensive. 40 dumplings cost $57 with tax. That comes out to one dumpling costing $1.42. That's pretty astronomically high even with rising food costs and inflation. I was absolutely dumbfounded when I saw that bill. Keep in mind! See the picture of the signage inside the restaurant! Dumplings are apparently made to order. They take well over 15 minutes to make/cook. I probably wouldn't come back by choice, but if my family wants dumplings and don't want to make them. We'll probably stop by here.

We were so excited that I forgot to take pictures before we started eating pan fry dumplings and cucumbers salad delicious

Food and service were both great! Everything was delicious and fresh. Stopped by looking for some good dumplings. We got pan fried pork and shrimp, fennel pork and shrimp, beef and green onion dumplings. The wonton soup and green onion pancake were great too. Glad we stopped by.

    Lamb and Green Onion Pie

Came here after hearing that a food writer for the LA times always used to come here because it was his favorite restaurant. I failed to view that the owners have changed since then. With that said I will say there lamb and green onion pie was decent but not the best pie I've tried. I also ordered braised beef as an appetizer which is just sliced cold beef, it had kind of a dry rubber texture to it. Definitely not something I'd ever order again. Staff spoke just barely enough English so if you are coming here expect to figure out the menu on your own and a different type of service. They will ask what you want to order and drop your food off but that's it. The restaurant itself is pretty run down and dirty looking. Probably the worst bathroom I've ever been to at a small restaurant.

Super crunchy almost like Korean fried chicken in the outside and tender in the inside. Not hard to chew at all! Soup and tendon can be a bit salty on its own but when you add the soup with the noodles, the noodles soak up the flavor very well and the soup mellows out. Still on the heavier side of flavor for me but I can tell it's a very good, flavorful soup. Tendon was very soft. My husband ordered D1 and the regular beef was soft and had a good, evenly distributed flavor throughout the meat. Husband said he did not find the noodle soup salty and he's also on the lighter side of flavor profile like me. Beef roll: ordered this since the pics on yelp showed them rolled very evenly with filling. A little expensive, it could be a meal price, but the amount could also be a meal. Beef roll came looking exactly like what I saw in pics; good amount of filling and rolled evenly. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be crispy on the outside since I ordered take out but it could be crispier. I'll prob air fry later for a later meal. Crispness was the only con, the beef roll was very good! The beef isn't dry and tough, good amount of sauce for flavor. Would definitely recommend. Overall, beef noodle soup and beef roll were excellent. Already recommended the place to my sister. Be warned, ordered around opening time (Saturday) and when I went to pick up, the place was already full within the first hour of opening.

For us, a black sesame roll (could be a snack or dessert), four orders of steamed pork siu mai, two orders of juicy pork dumplings (soup dumplings), and a beef chow fun with soy sauce dish totaled to a little over $55. Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai were especially juicy and meaty; they definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. We got lucky finding a spot in the late morning, but when we were ready to back out after getting our food, cars were either circling the lot or waiting for someone to leave.

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat.
