The table next to us tipped $1, those people should be ashamed of themselves, the guy clearly was hit with too many tables at once, a kitchen that could not keep up on a Friday night and Management that is ghosting. There are clearly not enough wait staff to accommodate crowds. The only people keeping up were food runners & bussers. My family and I went back to the Old Spaghetti Factory. It was busy but not overly busy and we all ordered our food. Bread and salads were good and the main course was really good and hot. The red meat sauce was great and we all had different dishes with the red sauce. Our waiter (Robin) did a great job and we left full and happy with our experience. So much good food! The portions were great! Service from Jameson was TOP NOTCH, he really took great care of us! Took home lots of leftovers. I love this place quite a bit. My friends and I frequent it for special occasions usually. The servers are always super nice and knowledgeable about what is on the menu, which is lovely because one of my friends doesn't eat pork so he has to ask about certain items. The food itself is very good. They have decent portions and I usually try something I've never had before. Reserved a room 3 weeks in advance for my daughters 18th birthday. She loves to eat here. I asked mgr the day of reservations if I could get a small table on the side to put cake, gift, and decorations on...no problem she said. Told her party of 20 to 25 Day of party i called and told them it would be 16 people instead. They said ok. Got to restaurant table not ready. We got shoved in a little area for for 10 to 12 max. One of the chairs was sitting in the corner as it did not fit around the table. I talked to manager, Carlos. ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS INDIVIDUAL. Told me when I called to drop the number of people they took the room away from me and opened it to general seating. I told him we were very crowded and he said "you have 16 chairs". I got mad and walked away. I went back and asked him if I could get a small table for cupcakes and he said "im not moving tables". He told me he was going to give me a solution and I asked him what it was. He said I can seat you in the big room with 3 tables. I said that was only 12 people and could he put another table there because I had 16 people. He said he was not going to move tables but we could also have the next room adjacent to the 3 tables but that would split up my party. Why would I do that? I then told him he was Rediculous. Our waiter even told me our area was too small for 16 people. During my entire meal I literally sat with the corner of the table poking in my stomach as that was the only room I had. All of the time and effort I put into decorations, $70.00 for them were wasted. This manager was completely dismissive to our party and I feel the 18th party was nothing special at all due to this restaurants inability to get it together. I usually love The Old Spaghetti Factory. Was craving the mizithra browned butter spaghetti all day so decided we were going to order from here for dinner. Ordered online so I know the order was put in correctly, and it's my fault for not going through the bag to make sure everything was there. They put 1 loaf of bread for 3 people and didn't bother to put broccoli with my kid's meal and now she doesn't want any part of it. Anyone that orders should check their bags before leaving the building or else be disappointed when part is missing. I would like to add that it has been a week and my account still got charged the full amount and the manager lied about giving any refunds!--a refund wasn't an issue until I was asked to drive the 20 minutes each way for them to fix their mistakes and then told I would be refunded just for the mistake and then not even that happened! read more

This was my partner's choice (he used to come here as a child) parking is more than ample. The decor is really whimsical and fun (kind of like dining in a Disneyland ride) I know it's a chain but still A+ for that. Server was busy but very attentive and knowledgeable. The ONLY thing I really wanted was fresh warm bread, the bread and garlic butter arrived and the bread was not hot or warm or warm(ish) I think it was a courageous little loaf that survived the lunch shift. At this point I'm going to have warm bread or die trying, had a go big or go home moment and ordered the Sicilian garlic cheese bread. It came out hot and very tasty, my partner had the lasagna and was not a fan, lots of noodles and cheese but the ground beef and pork were dull. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was good though some pieces of the chicken were hard to cut into around the edges I think they were a little done. The pasta on the side was boring luckily I ordered a side of meatballs (2) they were pretty good it made the boring pasta on the side better. The salad was lousy, the meatballs too greasy, and the sauce inferior to what you find in many jars at the supermarket. $80 with tip--really? Would not even let me pay for the soup with a credit card so I could be sure my daughter and I could get it if we drove from east Mesa. We had reservations last night at 5:30 pm. We arrived a few minutes early and checked in. 15 minutes later we still had not been seated and people that arrived after us were getting seated. Apparently they checked us in and deleted our reservation. Once we finally got our table the service was slow but that is typical for this place. Literally steps away from the light rail route, we spotted the place and decided to stop for dinner. No, it's not gourmet Italian food, but it is darn good for a spaghetti franchise. So, don't except what you had in Rome, when in Phoenix, this is where it's at. With less Yelp food photos than photos of the restaurant, you know it's a cool place. They sat us in the stationary/makeshift train in the middle of the restaurant. Even though it was Happy Hour and that was only available at the bar, we were content in our super cool seats. It was a pleasant surprise to see Makers Mark featured in their star cocktails, including the Old Fashioned. Although I can't say it was anywhere near the best Old Fashioned I've ever had, this ain't Kentucky and I must give them credit for effort. I was torn on whether to order the clam cream spaghetti of ravioli and so was my friend, so I ordered the Gourmet Crab Stuffed Ravioli and she ordered the Pot Pouiri. I wasn't a huge fan of the clam sauce based spaghetti, so luckily she was completely content with her entire order and raved about it the entire trip back to train ride back to Tempe. We were here 2wks ago and we were so excited about because it was our first mystery dinner. We didn't quite know what to expect. The actors were very entertaining and funny . Especially the maid she was hilarious! And made the whole show! Your seated with a group of people who you will together try to figure out the mystery. Which was fun. Let me start off by saying I am not normally a "Yelper", however, this visit more than warranted it! Because of Covid, I had not dined out in ages. I went to The Old Spaghetti Factory (a long time favorite) with a friend a few nights ago. We were greeted kindly by everyone in the restaurant. Timing was incredible! Just as we finished our salads and Sicilian Garlic Cheesy Bread, our entrees came out hot and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Piccata for the first time and my friend ordered the Garlic Mizithra. Highly recommend these entrees. We want to thank our server Eleazar for making our visit so charming. We have never had a server so on top of it and kind. Although we did not catch her name, we had incredible service by the young girl who brought us our appetizer and entrees. Even though she was not our server, she catered to our every needs (bringing us more bread/beverages and answering our menu questions). This establishment is phenomenally staffed. There was a tiny bit of a yummy sauce on top but my raviolis were mostly naked and stuck to the plate. I think they were slightly under cooked because they were on the chewy side and a little doughy. First of all let me address the negative reviews about empty tables and wait time. The occupancy is 450 people. Do you think they have enough wait staff at lunch time for 450 patrons? No they don't. Moving on.... We went for lunch and there was a 15 minute wait which ended up being 6 minutes. Everyone from the hostess, waitstaff and bus staff were super friendly. I love the decor and the trolley! Our waiter Lidia was so sweet and attentive. The food was delicious! The meat sauce was a huge hit for our table. It was so flavorful. They do have gluten free pasta and gluten free sauce options. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and attentive service. The lunch menu was priced very reasonably. $40 bucks for 3 pasta's one with Italian Sausage (which was delicious) bread & butter and 3 side salads. You can't beat that! read more

The place does not hold universal appeal. Unfortunately the service is very poor. The wait staff seems over-worked and harassed. The cheapo paper menus are old and dirty, I wanted to wash my hands after touching the menu. C'mon you guys, they are paper. Print new ones, weekly of not daily. I did not like the "anything goes" atmosphere of young children constantly running around like wild animals. OK at pizza places that specialize in kids birthday parties, but not here. The building is a massive noisy barn of a place and not engaging. The place seems dirty - and in fact the restrooms are dirty. All-in-all it lives up to it's name "factory".
