Love this spot, especially before a Sharks game! The atmosphere is great and full of Sharks fans! We sat near the window so we could people watch while we ate and drank. To drink, we ordered the 34-ounce Drake's Juicy Hoot Hazy IPA, which was HUGE, but definitely fun. For food, we split the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, and it was AMAZING! The meat was cooked perfectly, the bun was soft, and the cheese was incredibly gooey and delicious. It also had bell peppers, onions, and jalapeños mixed in, which added great flavor. Surprisingly, it wasn't spicy at all. In fact, I didn't even realize there were jalapeños in it until I read the ingredients later while writing this review. All I knew at the time was that the cheesy, peppery goodness made every bite incredible. The staff were all super nice and friendly, which we appreciated. I would have given 5 stars, but there were a couple small things. When we first walked in it felt extremely warm inside, even though it wasn't hot outside, so I'm not sure if the air conditioning wasn't working or if it was just an off day?? Also, when our food arrived we still didn't have silverware or napkins, so I had to get up and ask the hostess for them. Since we were splitting the sandwich, it also would have been nice if a small plate had been brought out initially. I ended up putting my half on a napkin until we later asked our server for a plate. So just giving some context, I did visit with a buddy on a Thursday evening. It was opening seating and the place was packed and the only spot we could find was seating out front (which I was fine with). The guy at the door gave us menus and said a server would be with us shortly. It was a while before a server ever came out to us and required us asking the door man again for a server. The server seemed in a rush, which I somewhat get but seemed to want to cut us off after every item we ordered (I ordered food and she immediately went "is that it for you guys" and my buddy hadn't ordered food yet.) Food came out and I was severely disappointed by the portion sizes of the brisket and had I known I would've ordered something else. I also noticed the menu online and the physical menus there were different (ie. online says the plate comes with two sides menu there says one side, menu there has chicken, online doesn't). To end it off, my buddy asked for a box, and the waitress dropped off the bill for us to sign and she just walked off and we couldn't find her so my buddy had to go inside to the bar to get a box. They have cocktails and a good sized beer menu, available in 16 or 34 ounces! There's shuffleboard which is fun to play as a group as well. Service can sometimes be a little slow, but if you sit at the bar or are enjoying a casual night out it's no problem. The food menu has a variety of appetizers and BBQ entrees. Location is prime with indoor and outdoor seating available with multiple TVs playing sports including FIFA and MMA fights . Hostess was friendly and Hooked us up with some VIP seating area to watch the FIFA game which is being shown on a large projection screen right outside the bar. Drinks are perfectly made . I was walking by on my lunch break when the smell of smoked meat stopped me in my tracks. That was enough to change my plans. I ordered the half rack of ribs with coleslaw and a Caesar salad. The coleslaw was fresh, balanced, and actually tasted like slaw instead of being drowned in dressing. The Caesar was solid, and everything on the plate was fresh. But the ribs were the main event. They were seriously tender--the meat was falling off the bone before I could even get into them, and a butter knife was more than enough to cut them apart. The sauce had just a little heat with plenty of flavor. I normally lean toward a good dry rub, but these ribs made a strong case for sauce. This was the starting point for San Jose's St. Paddy's PubCrawl 2025. There were a total of five pubs participating, including Loft Bar & Bistro, Rookies Sports Lodge Downtown, Good Karma Fine Ales Food & HiFi, and Fuze Night Club/Event Venue. Event organizers said there were a limited amount of t-shirts available, and I guess they weren't kidding. We arrived 15 minutes later than the start time because we got the event entrance confused with a different event occurring, and I guess all the t-shirts had already been given out except for three. A couple, who had walked fast from behind us to get in front, grabbed the last three, claiming that they had a third friend coming and wanted to get it for them. We asked if we could just get one, but the staff just let the couple get away with the extra free shirt. The Old Wagon Saloon and Grill offered us complimentary green Irish Jell-O shots in the back, had fireball shots for $5, and green beer with a shot of Proper 12 for $12. The Jell-O shots were cute but ineffective, as one would suspect. The bar was surprisingly crowded, but I don't frequent these types of places so was not sure if it's typically packed. The ceilings were high and it had a pretty cool saloon vibe. The back had some seats and standing tables, separate staffed bars, cornhole, and a chuckwagon. The bartenders were mildly nice, but that doesn't make up for how much of a waste of time the pub crawl was, and how the staff didn't care that the couple who maneuvered their way in front of the line grabbed an extra shirt that should have been ours. read more

We came at the recommendation of a friend and I liked the place right away. I'm a big "Dive bar" affecianado and that's the vibe here, but not the focus. We arrived a little after lunch and the place was empty, which I liked. The bartender was great; helpful, engaging, and not just playing for tips. The place is open and airy and a bit too well lit to be a true dive bar. The beer list is extensive and the bottles behind the bar are a good collection of tried-and-true brands and interesting options. My colleague ordered the Briskit Sandwich with fries, and I had the Cheesesteak and Onion rRings. The sub rolls are just OK, kinda commercial not, it seems, sourced from a local bakery. Both meats were delicious, the sauce on the Brisket was tasty, and the cheese and grilled onions really added to the Cheesesteak experience. I was greatful that I could have my Cheesesteak Philly style, without the peppers and jalapeños. The Fries were pretty good, the Onion Rings were really good. The panko crust was perfectly crispy, the onions were soft enough to be bitten through, so there was onion in every bite, and the flavor was excellent, no rancid oily flavor here (as can sometimes happen to onion rings). Went here specifically for drinks and line dance on a Saturday night. Let me tell you, this place did NOT disappoint. I came from out of town to check out this spot. And as an experienced line dancer, this was fantastic. Also super beginner dancer friendly! They had an instructor (Cole) that taught a few dances. Went there for an early dinner on a Friday night, not too many people at this time. The sign at the door said seat your self and we sat outside. Our server greeted us quickly and told us that Happy Hour specials were good for the e next 30 Minutes. One of our party ordered a blood orange boilermaker the server left and came back saying they were out of the blood orange beer and they were no alternatives. So the ordered a beer. Well...what can I say, things change and its just not what once it was. I've been going to Old Wagon for at least a good 20+ years or so. Back in the day they had a Graveyard burger, awesome fries and what I considered some of the best wings around... not to mention the big glass steins. I've seen it change, updating the menu items to change it up a bit here and there. One of the best qualities Wagon Saloon had was just an awesome attentive staff that always stopped by to see how you were doing, offering waters, checking to see if you needed another (adult) beverage, napkins..etc. It was always like this, with everyone! I would tell and bring many friend's to this place for decades. Now, everything has change.....except for the decor. (In which is fine because I like the old saloon vibe, But here it is... the burgers are just not the same quality, flavor or juiciness they used to be. The patties were distinct back in the day with their flavor, and then changed happened. Ok, I had different burgers, shortly after discontinuing, but they had the same great patty flavor and were always good! Then the patties changed. ,....what happened? New vendor? New technique to cook? And now the Fries??!! WTH happened there?? They used to be great!! Sprinkled cheese and the awesome orange sauce.... Still have the sauce, but the fries are just not what they used to be. Back to the wings.... What happened there? They used to be slightly battered with a crust on them and were awesome! Now, not so much...dry, not the same texture, not the same anything. I disappointment to say the least as I was looking forward to a long time that since I've been there, craving the items I used to love! I ended up getting their brisket sandwich, and I'm not sure what happened there... its was super tough, not as tough as beef jerky, but not the easiest to eat. It was not good, I've been going to another BBQ place in Livermore ordering their brisket, and you can see and taste the difference in what you get. Check out Sauced. Every time I hear about this place I hear that it's racist, so we decided to check it out. We came in and sat down and ordered drinks, all night we ordered shots and the bartender started checking up on us to see what we needed cause we tip well. We got one last beer and sat down to call it a night when security came up to us and told us we had to leave. When we asked why he said you guys have to leave we are closing. He did not say anything else to anybody else but us. Even the bartender came and asked him what he was doing and why. We asked for manager and waiting 30 minutes and nobody ever came. We dropped by the Old Wagon Saloon to catch some college football action and enjoy some food and drinks. Seated at the bar, the bartender provided excellent service. We opted for beers and Paloma cocktails. In terms of food, we ordered extra crispy garlic fries, chicken wings with sweet and spicy sauce, the shrimp Louie salad, and an assortment of barbecue meats including ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Our top picks were the wings, pulled pork, and the Shrimp Louie. The Western ambiance added to the chill vibe of the place. Situated adjacent to San Pedro Square, there's a parking structure conveniently across from the restaurant. It's a great spot to watch games, although the TVs at the bar are a bit too high. Your best bet is to sit in the middle of the restaurant to have access to screens on both sides of the walls. read more
