This place has seriously gone down hill. We waited 15 mins for a server and the place was empty. We were seated inside where we had a nice view of file boxes in the dining room where they apparently store their invoices. One box for every year from 2022. The waitress brought one dinner instead of two and by the time I got mine my spouse was already done. The Lobster was cooked well but his dinner with steak and Lobster tail was Flank steak. Went there for Restaurant Week on Wednesday 9/10 at 5:30 PM. Let me just say if you're going for the queen cut Prime Rib which is on the Restaurant Week menu call to see if they ran out. We had to scramble around to look at the menu quickly as we had to change our orders. The table of four behind us heard this and got up and walked out. It took a while for us to get our food which the sides came out cold. I never received my side. It's only the middle of the week and already out of one of the specials? This evening I brought my husband here to eat for his 50th birthday and we ordered two (2) snow crab boils ($60 each) that advertised two clusters of crab legs along with shrimp, sausage, clams, mussels, corn and potatoes. However, when our food came out, we were both missing the second set of crab clusters. Our waiter was kind and understood our complaint, but the manager tried to convince us that she now serves crab legs that "weigh more" so we only get one cluster. I reiterated to get that her menu does not reflect this and she said, "well maybe next time, I'll split them in half." She then agreed to put in an order for our remaining crab legs and when the came out, there were literally two or pieces of crab legs, one each for my husband and I. My mom insisted we come here since she was dying for lobster. I'm not really into seafood and neither is her bf so it wasn't ideal for us. I got pasta which is usually hard to screw up but it just was not good here. My son didn't even touch his food but he hadn't really touched his food entire trip so that isn't saying much lol. My son wanted to come to this restaurant while we were in Lake George.. I saw mixed reviews I can't give this four or five stars because everything was just really mediocre our service though waitresses were right on it. I must say it was the first time I had clam chowder with the very strong Taste of Rosemary in it but it was mediocre and lukewarm which isn't that great of a taste when you're having a hot clam chowder. The clam chowder was more like potato chowder I don't even think there was one clam in my chowder My son and I ended up splitting the full lobster pot. We come from New England where clambakes Lobster pots are done right This was just a very big disappointment especially for the price. Nothing was warm and they gave us an ounce of butter each. Not a drop of seasoning. Everything was kind of dried out. Also if you really want a good Seafood Pot I just suggest putting some potatoes a piece of sausage in there some seasoning like Old Bay is a very good cheater seasoning if you don't know how to season correctly and just one ear of corn is just unacceptable for an $85 Lobster Pot. If you like unseasoned lukewarm mediocre food this is definitely the place for you I would give one star but the service was definitely very good read more

It looks a little rustic on the outside, maybe a little on the inside. But don't let that fool you. The service is excellent and the waiters and waitresses are very attentive. My wife's Lobster and my Delmonico steak was superb. Just check out the smile on her face . I would higher recommend this restaurant. read more

You sit down, look at the menu and the first item you notice is $54. The second is $85. (GULP!) It's a decent, varied menu (catering to the non-piscivorous crowd as well as seafood-lovers). Most of the items are actually reasonably priced (no, honestly!). As for the food? It was... fine. A few items were a bit bland and underwhelming (looking at you, fried fish sandwich) while others were a bit more successful (yeah you, shrimp tacos). But nothing was stellar (even the sangria wasn't very memorable). Friendly staff (although our waitress did go MIA for a long spell near the end). We stopped for dinner on a busy, rainy evening, we were able to get the last indoor booth and were seated immediately. I ordered the Lobster Pot, we also wanted California Rolls but they were out. The service was fast not necessarily friendly. The Lobster Pot includes a cup of clam chowder, 1-11/4 lb lobster 12 clams , and corn. No bread is offered even with purchase of a meal, it is on the menu for $6. No salad is offered with this meal either, I feel like they should offer one or both of these or add an up charge. Once the lobster is unshelled this is not a very substantial meal for $48. I have been to similar seafood establishments that offer similar priced meals that offer sides or simply add potatoes to the pot, a few shrimp? My meal was good but less than substantial. This is the second time we have been to this establishment, I do enjoy the charming small town seafood ambiance and the frozen margarita is always thirst quenching. I'm not sure we will go back for a third visit unless some adjustments are made to the "Lobster Pot" meal. read more

My husband and I have been to The Lobster Pot twice. It's well worth the 30-minute drive from Porter Corners when I get a hankering for seafood. My former (NJ) neighbors rent a house on Lake George each summer, and we get together for dinner. I chose The Lobster Pot because we all enjoy seafood and it wasn't far from their rental house. First, kudos go to Victoria, the hostess, who could not have been more accommodating. This restaurant does not take reservations, which had me concerned because my husband and former neighbor (in his '80s) can't stand for long periods of time. She was very kind and we were able to be seated right away. A good start to a lovely evening. Both of my NJ pals braved about the scallops they ordered. The husband also enjoyed the calamari. I started with steamed clams which were very good. Plump, and cooked just right. I followed with a lobster which was perfectly steamed. The corn which came with lobster was a bit overdone. Maybe reheated. Oh well. My husband chose Clams Casino for his appetizer. Each bite was presented with a clam covered by herbed breadcrumbs. Tasty. The Lobster Cepprano that followed was good but, as advertised, spicy. Beware! We had to pass on dessert because we were quite full. Our server, Nancy, was spot-on. She didn't rush us, which we appreciated. She was very pleasant and friendly. She's a keeper. We enjoy this place and will keep it at the top of our list when craving seafood. read more

Nauseating is the only way I can describe a meal at the lobster pot tonight. Lobster obviously pre boiled and reheated, dried out. Never before have I left lobster on my plate. Not good! My family came here for dinner tonight. My husband ordered the special pumpkin ravioli, which he said tasted like it was all frozen and heated through. My daughter got the kids Mac n cheese which was literally a side of Kraft macaroni and cheese and a side of fries. I got the lobster roll dinner, which was a single lobster roll and a side of Lay's chips for $24. All of our food was served in metal take-out containers with regular silverware which defeats the whole purpose of keeping it sanitary if you have to use regular silverware. I went to this fine restaurant last night with family. We had pretzels with cheese, steamed clams, oysters, clam chowder and lobster bisque along with steak and seafood dinners. The food is delicious. We told the waitress we would be back. The one thing I wish they would do is offer a dinner that has a 6 oz steak as opposed to a 12 oz steak and instead of 2 cups of rice and 2 cups of a vegetable, one cup of each is just fine.
