This place is really a hole in the wall. It's kinda tight in there, but you'll get a seat. The food was decent and good proportions. Not singling this place out, but everywhere I went in Ogunquit, they didn't have Splenda. Not sure what that was about. read more

Hadn't been back to the Omelette Factory for a few years even though we go to Ogunquit every year. ...the family doesn't do breakfast, ugh. Got them to go back this week on the last day of vacation. After several $100-$150 meals each day, the best meal I had all week was my Lobster Benedict. Every bite was amazing. The eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaisse didn't overpower the taste of the lobster. I mmmm'd my way around for an hour afterwards. I will fight my travel companions if we don't go there the next time we are in town. read more

We were on a vacation trip and our hotel was very close to this place. We saw the reviews online and thought we would check it out the next morning. We are so glad that we did. I got the Three Slice French Toast w/ corn beef hash and my partner got the Jubilee Omelette. French Toast: You could smell the Cinnamon coming from the toast right off the back. and see that the egg wash mix they used was well applied. The flavor was amazing and the syrup just complemented it even more and didn't take away from the flavor. Corn Beef Hash: for all you true corn beef lovers, I am sorry but this corn beef hash was amazing but then found out it was from a can, still the best hash I've ever had. Jubilee Omelette: Its just like the veggie omelette but with more veggies, my partner had them had squash, the omelette came out and it was so fluffy and just looked amazing. Cheese was kind of pouring out, and some veggies were sticking out. It has so much flavor, and the veggies were cooked down just right. They weren't over cooked nor mushy, however they still had a little firmness to them and it all worked together. It also came with a sweet bread, which kind of just reminded me of a pound cake with corn bread flavor. It also had a half english muffin, which was buttered up beyond belief but tasted amazing because it was toasted. When you walk in the place looks really small, but they have two rooms, so its not as small as it looks but not a big place. The front room was a little dark, and the back room was nicely light up because it had a lot of windows and just felt homey. Our service was nice and was very great with suggestions, which is why my partner switch from the veggie omelette to the Jubilee. We both are defiantly going to go back and experience this diner again. If you are staying more central in town the trolley stops really close to the place so you can take it up and down back into town. read more

My partner and I visited Ogunquit in mid-September and the Omelette Factory was a short distance from our cottage. We were very glad to find it. We went late to avoid the crowds and could not have been happier with the food and atmosphere.We went on 5 of our 7 days there. My partner had the #20 and ordered that one each day; I tried something different each day and was rewarded with something delicious each time. He claims never to have had such a delicious omelette; and I was just plain relieved to know that I was going to get something good each day. Your grandmother could not have given you better French Toast. On two of those days we brought two of our friends and they were delighted. Our waitress each day is a lovely woman who could be considered the archetype waitress: fast service, fast-tounged, and fast mind, all with a great sense of humor. The owners were warm and welcoming. Can't say enough about this place. It was truly one of the highlights of our honeymoon! We ate there three of our five mornings (the other two we were way up in Booth Bay or we would've been back! This lovely quaint little place is actually between a 4 and a 5. The staff is friendly and their customers even friendlier. I ended up meeting two families as I was waiting for the food. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but that's understandable because the place is small & popular. It's kind of quaint so it might not be to everyone's taste, but we liked it. My husband and five year old daughter went there today based on reviews. I purposely wanted to get there before 1 pm as they close at 2. So we arrive at 12:45 and are greeted with scowls from the cook, and that "oh great more people to serve" from the host and the waitress. It was as if we had walked in just before closing. Then we are told the grill was shut off so no French toast etc. My daughter had come for the French toast and said, "where did my French toast go?". Based on her cuteness they said they would cook the French toast in a pan. So that was nice, but why shut of the grill at 12:45? So they bring our eggs and clearly burnt toast. That was what really ticked me off, it was black. And they didn't bring the side of bacon. When we went to pay I said there was no side of bacon which he just crossed off the bill and rang it up. No apology just "get out of here already". So we leave feeling bad. Is good food worth that? And we're nice people, no complaints about the toast and a 20% tip. read more

Flew in from Baltimore and went straight to the Omelette Factory early on a summer saturday morning. This place has incredible breakfast options (I had a western omelette). My friend and I just ate there yesterday. We custom ordered our omelettes which meant we got to choose 5 different ingredients. Our omelettes were absolutely scrumptious. Our omelettes were fluffy, big, and best of all they weren't greasy. Kudos to the cook, Bobby! We did not have to wait; we arrived at around 11:00 AM. Really friendly staff (all of them) and great food. The outside of the place is very unassuming but it turned out to be a great hidden gem. My wife and I came to Maine on our honeymoon and didn't really know what was in the area. They were all going above and beyond trying to help us find our bank. We liked it so much we went back the next day. The omelettes were packed with our chosen fillings and the egg was fluffy as can be. They were served with homemade sweet breads and homemade jam. Omelette Factory is the best breakfast in Ogunquit. I have been going for several years. They have lots of different tasty offerings, but the omelettes are large, fluffy and delicious. The one that is called the selfie, one of 43 omelette choices, allows you to pick any five fillings besides steak and lobster. The food is phenomenal and the service is always quick. Seriously just ate there and I am convinced this is not the place everyone is raving about! It was horrible!!! Service was terrible it was 10 am and still fairly busy but we saw the waitress once. The owner brought us our drinks and the waitress took our order. The cook brought us our food after it had been sitting there for 10 mins. We were never asked if everything was ok and after we ate a little of our meal we were sitting there for 20 mins before my husband got up and went to the register and asked for our check. As far as the food my cranberry juice was warm, I got a ham and cheese omelette and it tasted like onions and was dripping in oil. The only good thing was the half of English muffin they give you. The sweet bread was lemon poppy which tasted like the pillsbury quick bread and it was stale. My husband ordered the same thing and my thoughts on the food are much nicer than his. I choked down a quarter of my omelette because we were starving and I am left disappointed, hungry, and with a stomach ache! never will go back there again! read more
