Worst service ever. Tim, the manager was horrible. I have a gluten and nut allergy. Noted it to my server for a to-go meal for me and my family. After waiting 20 mins for a order, the server told me that there is would be an up charge for every item order that was gluten free. I have been to numerous restaurant and never been charged because of my food allergy. I spoke to the manager and he was unapologetic and rude. We love this restaurant! It's really pretty and the staff is always so nice, but it's the yummy food that brings us back so often. My favorites are the Marilyn Mon Roll sushi roll and the pot stickers! The chicken lo mein is also a family favorite. We haven't been for hibachi yet but that is on our list. read more

We tried the Orient for the first time this week (7/6/21) because they have hibachi. There were 4 of us and everyone ordered an entree. The food was average. My friend and her son did not eat their chicken due to the strong sauces added and my father's shrimp were tough due to being over cooked. In hindsight, we should have brought the food issue to the server's attention. My main complaint is that we were each charged an entertainment fee because we were having hibachi. No where was this extra charge mentioned or on the menu. I was not paying the bill or I would have disputed this with the management. Beware if you go to the Orient of extra charges! I came by this place as I saw that they were finally opening. I ordered the Jessica Albacore Roll, Foxy Lady Roll, Beef Udon, Miso soup, and Ikura nigiri, all to go. The wait was very prompt and not too long as they were getting a little busy. Overall, I loved their rolls! The ikura nigiri is so fresh and honestly the best one I've had so far in ATL. If you enjoy Asian cuisine look no further you have found your destination! I personally think Chinese food is my favorite food. The only problem is you can never find good Chinese food ever but finally my prayers have been answered and the Orient it is now open for business. What I really loved about this place was all the different food options they have. So they have hibachi they have just a regular chicken and fried rice and a heft sushi menu. they have my favorite dish which is crab ragoons and they were so good. I ordered general tso chicken. I do specifically remember this was the best general tso chicken I've had in over 10 years. I want to go on to say that not just the food but the presentation of everything was so beautiful and I can't wait to enjoy it again. This place his family oriented, great for date night very intimate but very fun. If you have a big family or dinner party there is definitely room for everyone and there's different food to satisfy everyone. This restaurant is gorgeous on the outside and on the inside I believe they have outside seating not sure how that works but the inside works for me. It is beautiful open and ready to be enjoyed. I'm definitely coming back here and I can't wait to try some thing else on their menu but I will be getting the ragoons again. I stopped by there tonight because I heard that the owners of Orient Express in Vinings had been sold and the owners opened up the Orient. I ordered a take out dinner of sweet and sour shrimp for dinner to take home as it was too early for dinner, (4 15 PM). Sorry, but when I opened the package I was disappointed in what was missing: a pack of crisp noodles and not enough sauce in the container to add the rice to and no little packages of extra soy sauce. We sat in the Hibachi area knowing we would order from all 3 menus, knowing how good the sushi and Chinese menu is, we would have skipped the Hibachi. Service was slow, but it's the first week. The food and service are great, but We arrived at 4:45 pm to meet friends for an early dinner since they had tickets to a show later. There was Valet parking we told the person on duty that we do not do Valet parking because of stole cars and car damage. He got vey confrontation with us demanding the keys and tell us how dumb we were. We still parked ourselves and went in and ask to speak to the manager to let him know what happened. He seems to care less about what had happened and wanted to know why we were attacking him then he told us we could park in the parking lot at the hotel across the street. Since we were short on time we went ahead and had dinner in an almost empty restaurant, but it was at 4:45 on a Saturday. Needless to say we will not be going back for dinner here. As long time fans of The Orient Express, the owners' previous restaurant, we were excited to try their new place. They've only been open for 2 months and are still in their soft opening phase. We've always been big fans of their sushi so we had to try the items on the menu that weren't at their other restaurant, like the Foxy Lady, Love Me Tender (wagyu beef!), and The Three Musketeers Box. Note: I'm looking forward to going back in the summer, sitting on the patio and ordering the Foxy Lady because the cool cucumber wrap will be perfect on a summer evening! Maybe it's me but it seemed the fish was cut thicker and the wasabi seemed hotter (better) than the other location. Either way, everything was delicious! Service was a bit slow, but I attribute that to their soft opening and working the kinks out. Still, when the food came out it was fresh, tasty, and on point. We even had their Coffee Creme Brulee - made in house - which was great! I'm looking forward to continuing to frequent this place, going back and trying their other two offerings (Chinese and Hibachi), before settling in to sushi. I'll start by saying that I was starving, which usually makes the situation better when you finally get something to eat, right? Well, because I'm tethered to my place waiting for a delivery I ordered from the lunch menu for delivery. I live less than one mile away, yet my food was warm - not hot. I ordered the lunch portion of the Mongolian shrimp, and received 3 jumbo shrimp and 2 regular sized ones. They were slightly overcooked, but not inedible. I additionally ordered the Pan Fried chicken dumplings (to meet the delivery minimum); they were soft and also warm. Browned on one side, but no other evidence of them being fried. Here's the thing (the reason I gave them even 2 stars) - the flavors were good. But for $30 (including a 20% tip because it was raining pretty hard and it's not the delivery person's fault) I expected a lot more. I won't order delivery again, and if I pick up I will check my food before I drive away. read more

New place that opened by my house, went to check it out this afternoon. Plenty of room to social distance, we chose hibachi but you can pick from Chinese, sushi, or hibachi. Very roomy, natural light and cleanliness are worth mentioning. Staff was so friendly and prompt. My only words of caution would be the price, fried rice is an extra $3. Hibachi for 2 ended up being nearly $80 (tip included, but no drinks were ordered). Food was delicious though, no complaints there. Maybe that's the price of hibachi now a days and I'm wrong, just thought it was a little pricy. We will deff return for a special event. So excited to have this great spot closer to our home. We used to live near Vinings and loved the Orient Express. Then we moved out of the area and I missed their food terribly. Now this convenient location near Windy Hill and Powers Ferry Rd provides the same delicious food with a huge location. We ordered takeout since we are still in the middle of the pandemic but I'm eager to return and grab a drink at the huge bar. Absolutely Satisfying, I've been looking for a good Chinese food place in Atlanta and this place exceeded my expectations. By far the Best Sushi I've had out here everything was fresh and taste perfect. Me and my sister treated ourselves trying the Crab wontons 2 types of sushi the egg drop soup salmon hibachi and shrimp and broccoli. I had no complaints at all . I will be returning our server was polite, checked on us frequently and even engaged in light conversation. I especially enjoyed the shrimp and broccoli because were pescatarian, most places have beef and broccoli. It's nice to find a place that accommodates because I love the sauce all over the broccoli.
