Worth It!!! I've work in this building for almost 5 years and ever since they took over it's been nothing but good things. First thing you'll notice is how friendly they all are, specially the couple. They always greet you with a big smile. They always make sure everything is to your liking. Not to mention , I get to practice my Korean with them . Very friendly indeed. In addition, their food is amazing, specially their Poke. If your looking for a great deal and good portion then look no further. I usually order Poke/Poki you can either choose salmon,tuna, shrimp or combination. On top of that , if you don't like eating it with rice they can exchange it for salad which works pretty well together. I've went to many poke places and this place definitely fill it up so it's worth every penny; compared to the other places who sells Poke where you can actually count the pieces. Former regular for lunch pre-Covid and will be a regular post-Covid. If you have the courage to walk through a Seattle downtown alleyway for food, then this is the hidden gem for you. Lunch menu is somewhat small with only teriyaki and poke and l limited options for each, which would be the only downside. The all the food is delicious with tons of flavor, and the prices are cheap compared to most other downtown restaurants. The Friendliest people ever! I usually get a bagel or breakfast burrito in the morning. The bagel is just you know a normal bagel. The breakfast sandwich is about $6 but it sure is delicious. It has egg, salsa, hashbrown and some other stuff in it. Every time i eat this, i usually skip lunch. I pretty much had everything on the menu. You pretty much cant go wrong with anything you get. Its not the best food you can get in seattle but man, they fast and super friendly. Good spot to get something real quick and great price! read more

On a hunt for a new lunch spot around the office, I found The Original Deli. Though I loved that it's a family business and a hidden gem, I can't say I enjoyed my teriyaki bowl as I had hoped. Located between 3rd and 4th streets off of Seneca, The Original Deli is truly a hidden gem. There are no signs for it along any of the main streets, but you'll spot a small sign once you're on Seneca if you look into an alley where The Original Deli is. I have to say, I don't often walk through alleys, especially ones filled with smokers. But once I passed them all I was relieved to have found the entrance to The Original Deli. And unlike the exterior, the interior is cozy, clean, well-lit and welcoming. Once I walked up the small flight of stairs I spotted a small dining area, the counter and open kitchen and some shelves and a fridge for some grab & go items like chips, cookies, sandwiches, etc... The Original Deli specializes in hot Asian classics and raw fish bowls, where you fill out a sheet to customize what you'd like in your bowl. For only $6.99 I ordered a standard Teriyaki Bowl with brown rice and made it spicy for no additional charges! It didn't take too long for me to get my food, and there was plenty of seating available as most people who visited took their bowls to-go. The Teriyaki Bowl was simply, fine. The chicken layered on the brown rice was nothing special, as it tasted like it was made beforehand and reheated. I was hoping for that grilled flavor/cook, but the chicken tasted like it was poached. Since I asked for my teriyaki to be spicy, it had sriracha sauce all over the meat, which I didn't mind so much. What I didn't like was how overly sauced up it was with the sweet teriyaki sauce. I was not a fan. But for a $7 meal in downtown Seattle, it's A-OK. I'd like to visit again for the poke/raw fish! Especially since the family is so incredibly friendly where they greet everyone who walks in and remembers frequent customers, that is something I can get behind. A little mom & pop breakfast and lunch spot hidden in an alley, well that sounds tasty to me. Address is on 4th but this is located in the alley in between 3rd & 4th Ave on Seneca, you'll see some sidewalk signs directing you and once you enter the alley, you'll see it right there. Unfortunately, it wasn't as seedy as I wanted it to be when looking for this place. It wasn't busy at all when I entered so I was able to order right away. You place your order with a dry erase marker on the lunch menu, hand it to the girl, she then will hand it to the cook to make your lunch order. Prices are fairly cheap and menu size is pretty decent from breakfast options to lunch options that are under $10 total. It's a small place, but they have some tables to sit. Coolers with a plethora of drink options, small section of sundries, candy, chips etc. As for lunch, I got the Bulgogi wrap with a spinach wrap and sauce of your choice. Just circle the options you want on the menu. It was ok, wish the meat had more flavor but it was fine all wrapped up with the other stuff in it. Kind of home cooking style, not fancy so don't expect truffle butter. Staff/Family that worked there were very nice and friendly, happy that you came in etc. Overall, it's a quick little lunch spot where you can pick up something fast, affordable and something pretty filling. read more

You can tell they take great care in preparing their food. The ambience is bare bones and nothing to write home about but plenty of tables. While this spot expectedly doesn't have anything extremely special on the food front, it's such a cool hidden away spot in an alley in downtown! Connected to the back of a hotel (I think), you'll see the one doorway on the wall that'll take you into the store. It has a slightly run down but cool vibe to it, so I definitely recommend visiting it just for the experience at least. The fish was fresh, the portions were decent for a regular bowl at $7.99, and the people there are some of the nicest you'll meet. But I can't really call this "poke" like I do with goPoke or PokeWorks because it doesn't have as many mix-ins or toppings. I was on my way to the other Poke' place but curiosity got the best of me. I had seen their A-frame sign on Seneca before but thought, "How good can this place be? I don't even know where the door is!" Well, I found the door (it's clearly marked) and am SO happy I went. I was given a laminated menu and a dry erase pen to circle which options I wanted in my poke'bowl, paid and got back to the office. They give you so much fish. It's absolutely delicious, fresh and flavorful. Everything I got in my bowl was exceptional and for under $10, it's a really great deal, especially considering the area. This spot is such a hidden gem downtown! I stopped by on my lunch break to grab a poke bowl to-go. Ironically I walked past a massive line at the poke spot around the corner to get here. No line here, super friendly service and my bowl was done in just a couple minutes. I got the large poke bowl with tuna and salmon, I chose mild and asked for all the toppings. The large is huge and it's $9.99! I didn't even come close to finishing it. Next time I'll get the regular ($7.99) or split the large with someone. I made a side of Sriracha to take with me invade I wanted it spicier and I'm glad I did that. I think my perfect spice level may be somewhere between the mild and spicy options they offer so adding my own spice was perfect. My husband has gotten other things from here and enjoyed them all.
