There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged. We saw several parties leave and many people come in and get seated right away, so we assumed they had reservations. After waiting about 25 minutes, we went back inside to check on our table. The host told us that we "didn't leave a phone number," even though we were never asked for one and were told to wait outside until she comes get us. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she complimented my shirt mid-conversation, which felt like she was trying to brush it off. The entire time we were outside, we were the only people waiting, and we even saw her setting up the outside seating as the restaurant got busier. She never once checked in with us or said anything. The food was good, and our service once we were seated was great. Unfortunately, our first interaction with the host left a bad first impression and took away from the overall experience. The coffee was excellent, and one of the highlights of my visit was trying their Mocha Flight. It was a fun and creative way to sample several different mocha variations side by side. While I ultimately decided that I'm still a fan of the classic mocha, I'm glad I tried it--it made for a unique coffee experience. Another nice surprise is that Hagen also has a full bar, so it's a great place to return later in the day if you're in the mood for a cocktail instead of coffee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the experience even more enjoyable.
