The manager Pete is rude. However, the pizza is great and service is exceptional. But after contacting Pete before coming in to inquire about safety (I'm old and single) upon my arrival, Pete was not available to greet me. I was there for over an hour and my server told him where I was seated. So prior to leaving I went to the bar. It was way less than full, and when i asked why he didn't want to come say hello, he made it a point to be rude to me. And he told me he didn't have time to stop by my table and say "hello", yet on the phone it was an entirely different vibe. Go figure... Oh, by the way, I'm a woman of color. I'm looking for a late night spot, with good eats and NICE people. I guess if I am depending on Pete, this ain't it! read more

I have dined in here many times. We have also picked up to go for my family. Great vibe. Great service. Great people. It's Super clean. Great food and amazing selection of drinks. Big fan of owl bar everyone is has such great service! All the bartenders and servers are personal. They remember you, so welcoming. Food until 1:30am and always a great crowd. Fun and upbeat, even on chill nights. Nicole is my favorite ( not biased since it's my sisters name). Cheese bread is the best and the peace maker. read more

I came here on a Friday night with a couple of my work friends. This is definitely the place to be on a Friday night and a game night. We were lucky to find a table near the entrance. I love the decor of the restaurant - very rustic IMO. Happy Hour is $2 off per drink. Our waitress was Daisy. She was sweet, patient, and attentive. The drinks made to perfection. The restroom is only one person at a time - men and women designated. Whoever was in the women's restroom, took a while and I thought my bladder was about to explode. Anyways, it would be nice to have more than one restroom per gender. This is a great place to meet friends and watch the game. Will be back soon! read more

We did take out so I can't comment on the ambiance, although it seems like a good place to watch games with easy to see tvs. The service was friendly. I was impressed with the size of the boneless chicken but not so much so with the flavor. The buffalo was good. The garlic Parmesan was definitely in need of more flavor for our taste! I've been debating whether to even write this review because, selfishly, I don't want too many people finding out about my spot in Frisco. But honestly, The Owl is too good not to brag about. Since day one, we've fallen in love with Pete, Nicole, and the entire crew who make this place feel like home. The service? Outstanding. The liquor selection? BY FAR the best anywhere. Period. The pizzas are incredible, but the Gluten Free ones? Somehow even better (yes, really). You've never seen more TVs in your life. And you've never met anyone better than Pete. I swear everyone who walks in thinks they're friends with him, and that's because he's the damn best. The Owl isn't just a bar, it's the bar in Frisco. I forgot to take a picture of my pizza. My husband and I both got different kinds. Both were absolutely delicious. It was such a good pizza and when we left, we did not feel like we were bloated and icky feeling after you normally do when you eat pizza, this was so light and crispy toppings were good. You can tell It's a good quality pizza. My husband and I will definitely be going back. We both agreed that it should be at least a once a month thing for us. And our bartender that day made us an extremely dirty martini. It was perfect.!!!! What a very cute place! The bar was very nice! We came here with the littles for lunch. They have a variety of apps and fantastic pizzas. My little had the sourdough pretzel. It came with three dipping sauces. My favorite was the queso sauce as the dipping sauce. The pizzas are really good here too. The Owl Pacino pizza was delicious. Perfect combination of fig jam, prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula with a balsamic drizzle. It was delicious. The pizzas were perfect. I brought my mini with me during lunch and it was perfect. I do not see this being "kid friendly" in the evening time cause it's a bar but we went during lunch and it was fine. This is a very cute bar! read more

I keep trying to give this place a chance, since it is in my neighborhood. however, i have yet to have a pleasant, warm experience. i am usually the only person of color & i never feel welcomed. I usually have to chase down a dismissive bartender. I have even asked, "are you having a bad day?" when i am met with an unpleasant attitude. I called the Manager to give them a chance to course correct before i wrote a review. In all fairness, he asked me to come in & ask for him & he would give me a drink on the house. Tried the pizza (The Wise Owl) --delicious--and Jason enjoyed a Necessary Evil beer while I went with a Sauvignon Blanc, which was a fantastic recommendation. Managements idea of crowd control is allowing a reserved table of 12 to expand to a party of 18 and invade the personal space of surrounding table. Management fix? Move said table a couple of feet away. Problem resolved? No, gives overcrowded party more room to keep invading other tables personal space. Management sucks. Will never return. I'm not one to leave reviews however after the racism I experienced last night I find it only fair to let everyone know this place is shit! The DJ Noey was extremely rude. I went up to request Selena and was told they don't have anything that isn't in English then she told me I wasn't allowed to lean against the table where her equipment was because it was worth "1000s" of dollars and she needed me to back up. Upon bringing this up to the manager we were told it was because too many Indian people kept requesting India music so they made the decision it was only English. He did absolutely nothing about how rude the DJ was. Will not be returning to this trashy racist place. read more

Great little place. Will be nice when weather isn't hot to enjoy the patio. Happy hour until 7 and any drink you can think of is on that menu. Not a big menu. Pretzels are massive and good. Only other options is the pizza which is eh, it's ok. Had the fig pizza and that was quite good but other ones at our table were less than exciting. Definitely more a drink place. Service was ok. For as small of a place it is waitress wasn't refilling drinks often and rarely saw her. Definitely loud in there and not sure if by design but the metal tables and tiny wood chairs are about as uncomfortable as it gets. But the patio is stellar and location a great spot. So I had been noticing the Owl bar in Frisco through social media so my wife and I made a decision to go there rather than the rich Carlton downtown we got there place was nice. A few people we ordered our drinks. The waitress initially was not very friendly, but warmed up after that so we also went ahead and got something to eat. We got chicken wings and a wedge salad the chicken wings were not crispy. They were doughy and very soft a lot of dough on them. The wedge salad was probably one of the poorest wedge salads I've ever had. I'm sure there's other stuff that's they're good but what we had we would not order again we stayed there. Listen to karaoke for quite some time when I got the bill. I went over the bill and I noticed there was $.97 for ice for three Manhattan drinks and I asked the waitress I said why would you be charging for ice that goes in a mixed drink and she said well we have to buy the ice and I said never in my life have I ever gone to a bar and they have charged me for ice let alone a dollar for a piece of ice which I'm assuming it comes with all mixed drinks. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager I said yes he came over and I asked why would you be charging $.97 for ice? He became very confrontational. He became very argumentative. I simply expressed that I've never seen that before and he told me I didn't know what I was talking about that a lot of people do it and I said not any of the places I go so I thought I'd post this review so people can understand that my experience was very very poor. I would never go back the confrontational nature of the manager, and now I understand a little bit why the waitress was unfriendly at first, although I will say the customers were very nice. Came here before heading to a fc Dallas game! We got there around 5 and the place was relatively empty but quickly filled up. Its on the smaller side with all high top or bar seating. Our server was very good and knowledgeable of the menus. We had to send the cheese curds back to be refried . They were soggy but had good flavor. The new batch was only slightly better. We also got the wings. They could've been more seasoned and crispier but also had good flavor. The pizza was delicious! I'd go back alone for that and the Mona Lisa from the cocktail menu!
