Pizza palace is" the palace" with the remodel? Um okay. We went yesterday afternoon and they were busy for dinner but had a seat for two people where they could have sit four OK whatever,we ordered classic burger kit and chicken salad sandwich kit, both were good and imo plenty of it. good atmosphere for being crowded and our waitress was very busy seemed like and still had time for us. overall good dinner and would recommend when you want change and good food,no desert we went to DQ. read more

This was our first visit to The Palace. I ordered a chef's salad and a cup of soup, and my wife got a tuna salad sandwich. Our server was friendly and service was above average. The coffee was the biggest surprise, good and strong. Food was better than average but the portions could have been a bit larger for the prices charged. Rest room was not very clean. Overall impression...not bad, and we'll give The Palace another try, next time for dinner. The Palace doesn't quite measure up against, say, Rudy's Diner in Harrington, but for us, it's worth another visit. read more

This place is strange. I don't feel that the quality of the food is at its best. The fries look liked there cooked in old grease. A few times I've called to place an order but the order taker is not familiar with the menu or how things are made. The food is very average and basic. Very little flavor. The facility itself is nice. It's updated and is somewhat keeping up with more modern esthetics. The food is just not that great. read more

My wife and I had the pleasure of doing our Thanksgiving dining at the Palace , the price was right ,the food nothing less than outstanding as well as the help and managers !! well, the managers they just about bent over backwards to please everyone ( you feel like family ) . My Church group goes here every 6 weeks or so for Sunday Breakfast and have always been super happy with the service and the food. Today waitress Miranda did an above the call job in taking care of us in the busy atmosphere of the room. I enjoyed my scrapple and cheddar cheese omelet and got a pizza to take home!!! If not for the customer service and cream of crab soup, I would've given them 2 stars. No matter how good or bad the food is, the customer service is always the difference that makes the difference. I went to visit my aunt who lives in Milford. She had been to The Palace for dinner several times and said the food was delicious, so we decided to stop in for lunch. It's a homey older restaurant that clearly draws the seniors for lunch. The menu is massive, which is probably where the problem lies. The lunch crowd we saw for the most part ordered sandwiches and salads. As we had been on the road and hadn't eaten since breakfast, we were starving and wanted more than just a sandwich or salad. I ordered the seafood delight, with a house salad and cup of cream of crab soup (the soup du jour) my mom ordered fried shrimp with a spring salad, fries and coleslaw and my aunt ordered the shrimp scampi with a house salad. The server brought fresh garlic bread and ensured the drinks stayed filled. The soup was very tasty and the salads were fresh and crispy. The entrees came and they looked delicious. The seafood delight was colorful with peas, carrots and broccoli and large shrimp and scallops. The scampi was also full of large shrimp. The fried shrimp were very large, but the coleslaw was green like a broccoli slaw and the fries were a pale tan. As we began to eat, everything was bland. I tried garlic powder, salt and pepper, but nothing was helping this very bland alfredo dish. The scallops were previously frozen and now had a weird texture. The server came, I explained my disappointment and she immediately took it back, with no questions or issues and brought me a menu to find another dish. In the interim, I tried my mom's food as she was just picking. I thought maybe she was full and then I tried hers and quickly understood why she was just picking. Her fries weren't cooked through so they were very mushy and her shrimp were overcooked on the outside, but the shrimp themselves were under cooked. The shrimp, like the scallops were also frozen. When pulled apart from the breading revealed half of a butterflied shrimp. When the server returned to see if I wanted anything else, I explained the issues with my mom's food and declined to place another order. She was very apologetic removed the plates and brought the check and to go cups as we requested. Normal circumstances I would've taken and posted pics and ripped the restaurant apart, however, the customer service not only from the server, who's name I don't remember, and the manager Britney are the difference that truly makes the difference. They both were empathetic and apologetic about our food experience and ensured that this was not normal. They were sincere and genuine in their conversation about the restaurant, food and typical dining experience. Having attended culinary school, I understand that if you have a staff that doesn't normally cook the dinner items, when ordered, they aren't going to be the same as the staff that cooks those items regularly. When I'm in Milford again, I will try it again, but only for dinner. read more

Don't go here. It's terrible. We ordered to go tonight since we'd been in Baltimore today; the sweet potato fries were cold and the regular fries over cooked. The chicken cheesesteak wrap was missing all the toppings I paid extra for. We live a short distance away and had to stick everything in the oven to get it to not be cold. We've tried The Palace since moving here a year ago and it is always hit or miss. Portions are good size. Haven't had great experiences at all with delivery. Our first delivery never came and 2 hrs later I called the restaurant and apparently there was a glitch on their site and they didn't actually offer delivery, but the owner said that he would bring the food which was super nice. Well we get the food and they literally brought the cheesesteak and pizza that had been sitting for two hours so our food was cold tasted awful after sitting. I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have any reviews, as this is the go-to place when I visit my parents in nearby Harrington (retired ex-New Yorkers). The portions are HUGE and being from New York, incredibly reasonable. Service is always phenomenal,with friendly and efficient waitstaff. Their chicken and shrimp parmigiana are to die for! I placed a large order for take-out and when my husband went to pick it up, there was a long line of people waiting to pick up their orders (guess we all had the same idea). They are obviously extremely busy with numerous orders and I think it would be normal to make a mistake or two, but our food was phenomenal! It was fresh, hot, and plentiful. I am a little shocked by the negative feedback, we have both dined-in and ordered take-out and have never had a problem. We give them our highest recommendations. I'm new to the area, I get a lot of flyers in the mail from the Palace in Milfold so I thought I would give them a try for dinner on 4-14-18, went by myself. Walked in stood there a few minutes felt like I was being ignored because I wasn't with anybody, after 4 minutes I was acknowledged and seated. Twenty minutes later I had to get up and ask the bartender could I get waited on and they were not crowed. A waitress finally came over with an attitude, so I ordered, 1/2 hour later my meal showed up without the condiments I asked for. Had to find an employee to help me, the waitress comes out gives me an empty bottle ketchup and says we are out of tarter sauce. I gave up, ate half my food, dry fish & chips , got up went to the cashier asked for my check and the manager asked how was everything, I said not good, he didn't care to ask why, I paid my bill with no tip. Worst service I have received at a restaurant in a long time. I was ignored & forgotten by my waitress. I had to get up and find another employee to give me a water refill. I asked for ketchup and they gave me an empty bottle and walked off. After my food came to the table I was informed they were out of tarter sauce which made my meal useless. The place was so noisy from drunk people at the bar getting louder by the minute. I only ate about half my meal and decided to find another employee to please get me my check so I could leave. Went to check out a guy that I think was the manager was checking me out and asked me how everything was, I said not good, I will not be back, He gave me my change and went to the next person, he didn't care, had the oh well attitude. We had a death in the family over Labor Day Weekend. Obviously, a bit hard to plan for lunch after a funeral when so many places are closed on Monday. Since Pizza Palace was closed, I facebook messaged them, and told them my grandfather had passed, and that my grandmother had her heart set on holding his lunch at Pizza Palace, and asked if it was possible that I call in on Tuesday when they open and order lunch for about 20-25 people. NOTHING COMPLICATED - SALADS AND PIZZA. Their response "sorry were closed." I kindly responded, saying that I understood they were closed, but if I called in the morning if it was enough time to put the order together on a regular business day. I never even got a response. It makes me really sad that in such a small town, where my grandparents were loyal customers, they couldn't even respond to me with a yes or no. Clearly planning a funeral is not extremely easy, and these people just upset me even more. I bet their pizza sucks too. read more

Yuck. Beautiful inside and nice atmosphere, but ugh the food was terrible. Both my boyfriend and I were having a buffalo sauce craving. He ordered a buffalo cheesesteak and I got the buffalo Stromboli. I don't know what kind of sauce they used as "buffalo" but it was very strange and definitely not a buffalo sauce... not even close. I am also a ranch sauce lover so I figured I would ask for extra ranch to mask the strange buffalo sauce flavor, however the ranch was completely watered down and flavorless. If you are looking for affordable this is the place. But nothing was what it said on the menu. Should have know when the menu listed filet Mignon at 14.99 that a fatty strip steak would come. The lobster raviolis were actually cheese raviolis and the sauce was like jar sauce with a ton of salt added. The place is so busy and I can only think the pizza is what everyone comes for.
