I didn't realize this place existed for the longest time. It's easy to miss driving by and I wouldn't have paid much attention to it except for the fact that my neighbors raved to me about it. When it came out in Phoenix's magazine as one of the top 10 pizza places in Phoenix I knew I finally had to try it. Happy hour is everyday from 3-6 so I decided to come at 3 on a Saturday for a late, late lunch. There was plenty of seating and parking available but I can tell how this place would fill up quickly at night - especially the parking. Good waiter, good service. I went with a classic pepperoni pizza and a draft beer, both of which were part of the happy hour menu. All of their pizzas are $7.50 during happy hour! The pizza was delicious. Thin crust that has flavor but not so thin that you feel like you're eating a cracker. It was baked perfectly. I enjoyed eating the crusts as much as I enjoyed the pizza. The pepperoni and mozzarella were plentiful and delicious. This place has good ambiance and would be great for a night out with friends or date night. I ended up getting a scoop of chocolate gelato as the Yelp check-in deal gets you 50% off a dessert. It was incredibly rich dark chocolate gelato. A great finish to a good meal. The only pain about this place is the parking, but once inside the food, service and atmosphere is excellent. Great architecture and design, originally a hair salon. The bar has a great homey feel perfect for small groups at the high tables and on a nice day they open the windows to their fresh garden. My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous lunch at The Parlor this afternoon! The food was delicious. We tried the Garden Board as an appetizer. It had lots of assorted veggies cooked beautifully. My favorite item on the board were the homemade jalapeño poppers. We each had a sandwich. Both were great. For dessert we had the banana trifle which was unbelievable. I've heard of The Parlor for years from local people who've raved bout the food , service and selection of great drinks . My wife and myself were meeting another couple in Phx so I decided it was the perfect time to give The Parlor a try. They don't take reservations but the wait at the bar was only 15 min. The menu was easy to explore and the dishes are described beautifully. I was surprised by the prices . Very very reasonable for the portion sizes and for the quality of the food and service. An awesome place for date night or a night out with friends. In my experience, the ambiance was somewhat intimate so it might be better for smaller groups. Went for happy hour both times I've gone and loved the happy hour drinks and small plates. The pizza is the star of the show and is genuinely some of the best in the valley. In particular, the Roma was the agreed upon favorite. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Overall, a beautiful neighborhood restaurant with great food, drinks, and service. First time going. Decided to give it a try because of reviews. It might've been the "one off" but we try the soup of the day (lentils fennel soup) it tasted kind a curry like, not the best. I ordered the Milanese, it was over cooked DRY. Salad was whatever. Definitely bit impressed. The only dish that was good was the duck sandwich. First and foremost if I were about to read a review such as the one I am about to write I would rush to The Parlor immediately. However, no matter what type of reviews you read it still does not do it justice. It is just that good. I will start by saying my review is simply based on the items I tried and what impressed me about The Parlor. I was with a party of 7 and was advised there would be about a 45 min wait. I wasn't really surprised as it is a popular place and it was a Saturday night. However we were told that if we sit in the bar area we can seat ourselves. It just so happens there was a high top available that could seat all of us so we took it. I had no expectations on what the service would be like and I really couldn't compare the bar area to the dining room. What I can say is that the service was great and the server was prompt and very honest and sincere which is appreciated. We started off with some calamari. I know what you are thinking. CALAMARI at a pizza parlor? Yes, and it was to die for. The calamari was one of the best I have had. Not too much breading, not too crispy or crunchy. Just really good. Now on to the pizza. The reason we came here. The pepperoni. I mean wow. The pepperoni was stellar. My palate was in overload. You can taste the fresh dough. The sauce. The cheese. I really don't have enough words about the pepperoni. The spicy BBQ Chicken pizza was also very good but too spicy for my taste. The jalapeños were fresh and very hot. If you are into that than go for it but for me I like to taste more than just fire in my mouth. For dessert the waiter suggested the Tiramisu cake. Now let me say this, Tiramisu is my favorite desert. I will also say that my parents have been in the pastry industry for over 50 years and I have never tried Tiramisu as good as this one. This is easily the best I have ever had. I will also say I have had Tiramisu in Italy and all over Europe. Yet for whatever reason this one is my top. If you are getting dessert you have to try it. This was recommended to us and omg what's great place. We sat in the bar to watch the game during lunch. Levi our bartender/waiter was amazing and very accommodating. We ordered drinks and made a request for our salad. We changed the lettuce to romaine instead of mixed greens for more crunch. He was able to do it. YES!!! We then requested the margarita pizza with pepperoni for more meat. And he came through. We loved the food and the service. Go visit and hang out in the bar with Levi!!! read more

Special it was with a pizza with I can't remember it all, pepperoni, onions , mushrooms, fresh basil, & ricotta cheese a special treat. Nice! We came during covid and sat outside...felt quite safe. Started with chef's board antipasto with prosciutto, olives, bread and a pretty meager helping of brie. Entrees included a rich duck sandwich, a couple of tasty pizzas and a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs. All the food was enjoyed - especially the pizzas! Despite being pretty full, we couldn't resist sharing the tiramisu and pumpkin cheesecake. Both were delicious and we didn't regret topping off our meal. We arrived early around 5 - which made it particularly surprising that the service was so doggone slow. The table was located on their patio which turned out to be a covered patio with heaters....very cozy indeed! The waitress came to our table immediately to take our drink order. She was helpful in offering a sample of two wines we were interested in, which helped us make a decision. We ordered the funghi pizza which was very delicious! The roasted mushrooms were so tasty, the crust was just the right thickness and the goat cheese gave it a delectable taste. We weren't rushed and was able to have a very pleasant dinner. Parking is a bit tricky at night, you have to pay attention to where the driveway is but once behind the restaurant there seems to be plenty of parking. During this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, the staff at The Parlor showed their community support and responsibility by taking seriously health and safety guidelines while providing exceptional service. I entered The Parlor to pick up my order and was greeted by friendly and calm staff. The set up of wine and cocktails was perfect, the 'sanitized' and 'not sanitized' pens were a welcome sight, and the food was put together with care. We had Golden beet bruschetta, which was different, a little bland, not something I'd order again. We shared the pappardelle bolognese pasta, which was delicious and the best part of our meal. We ordered a small pepperoni and basil pizza, the wood fire pizza dough was perfectly cooked, I couldn't taste any sauce, definitely needed more basil. I'd suggest they serve some bread with the pasta dishes. Also fresh parmesan would have added flavor to both our pasta and pizza, instead of powdered dry stuff that we had to ask for. read more

Came back again 2 weeks ago. This time around the pizza was MUCH better. The crust was crunchy, and the dough was cooked perfectly. The basil was fresh, and the mushrooms were superb. We ate outside in the little patio area on a hot, humid night. The misters and fans made it tolerable as this restaurant is seemingly the ONLY restaurant in the Valley that knows how to position the fans to blow the mist around to properly cool the air down. This place is a gem! The decor is sort of a fancy rustic woodsy style, if that makes sense. The bar area is quite handsome and makes you wanna stay longer. I wish I remembered our server's name but he was super attentive and ALL of his suggestions were legit. They have a good assortment of meats and cheeses to choose from, for the charcuterie board, that are really good. Also got the olives to pair with it and much to our surprise, they were very warm. Appetizers: The Caesar salad was great and the calamari was done simply and had wonderful flavor. Sometimes restaurants try to fancy up calamari instead of cooking it perfectly so that it melts in your mouth. I'm so glad they got it right. Ok...the PIZZA! It was so many words that I can't think of because it was just that good! I ordered the Spicy Florentine and I couldn't stop myself from doing the happy dance while I ate. The crust couldn't have been more perfect. The breadcrumbs added a level of 'oh my goodness' that took my tastebuds over the top! My second visit at Parlor and I am glad I returned. The waiter was knowledgeable, funny and very helpful. We choose outdoor seating since the weather was gorgeous. We ordered: cauliflower appetizer, then chicken and cheese ravioli and a Florentine pizza. The ravioli was the waiter's suggestion and I REALLY liked it!
