Atmosphere - The Perch rescues birds, that along makes the place interesting. So if you would like to enjoy them while eating you will need to sit outside. It is that time the year that I sit indoors. The dining area on the first floor is small and filled with televisions, most had silly little videos going and a couple with a UFC fights. After dinner we went and visited the birds. Jazz fell in love with me, she is an Umbrella Cockatoo. She was dancing and chatting for me, so she was my star bird tonight. Food Drinks - I had two IPA's that I thought were great. My wife had a little taster, which she hated and went with a beer she really enjoyed. Dinner - We split the Pub Tots Buffalo style and the Prime Rib Dip sandwich. The tots were nothing to write home about. I mean Yelp. The sandwich I would love to have one right now. It was great, beef actually reminded me beef on whick, another Buffalo foodie item. We also upgraded the tots with the sandwich to the buffalo style too. Service - A great variety of beers. Very cool vibe upstairs on the patio! I went on an evening without live music and the mix of people were some business professionals, some hippies, a few muscle tatted up dudes, a few hipsters, a couple groups of retired folks, a small group of housewives....love it! The Perch is a great spot to visit with family or friends. The food and drinks are delicious. We really enjoyed the club sandwich.

This place needs to take a serious look at how their staff treats customers. We were here with a group of friends and everyone else was served without a problem--except my boyfriend, who is Black. He stood at the bar for nearly 10-15 minutes trying to order a drink, and the bartender completely ignored him. People who arrived after him were served immediately. I went up to the bar after him to see what was going on, and she served me without hesitation--still never even acknowledged him. It was blatant and felt like racial discrimination. This wasn't a misunderstanding or a busy moment--it was targeted exclusion. We won't be coming back, and I hope the management addresses this unacceptable behavior. read more

This is a good place for lunch to grab a sandwich (delicious) and a fresh beer (equally delicious). So on a warm March afternoon my wife, son and grandson sat on the huge outdoor patio. This patio is loaded up with big and small bird cages filled with birds that I found out are rescued...extra nice. All the food was well prepared and presented nicely. The beers we had and tasted we fresh and cold. A no rush, laid back and unwind vibe was appreciated. Service was also refreshing, being easy and polite with some needed suggestions. I have an affinity for birds so this place was right up my alley. This restaurant rescues birds and puts them on display for patrons to enjoy. It's really unique and a cool place to grab a bite or have a few drinks. The food is good but a bit overpriced. I ordered a papardelle pasta dish that was over $20 and there wasn't really much to it. The restaurant also charges a prop 206 fee, which is a 3-4% fee added to the bill on top of their already pricey food. I don't know if I'll visit here again because of how expensive it is along with the ridiculous prop 206 fee they charge. read more

Absolutely love The Perch! This is a must try spot for brunch if you have never been. The atmosphere is one of a kind. Parking can get pretty full but there are options all around in close proximity. They have a bunch of rescue birds all around the restaurant and the kids love walking around and talking to them all throughout the visit. We were able to snag a table at peak hours on a Saturday with little to no wait. Our server and service were outstanding today (I think her name was Tina). We started with some bloody mary's and an apple pie cider (pictured with Bubba) which were delicious. The food is always amazing, today we ended up with the tamale, chicken and waffles, burrito, chai-banana pancakes, and the two egg breakfast. All the dishes were a hit and well made. This is a great place to relax on the weekend, have some good drinks and food and enjoy the atmosphere. I highly recommend everyone check this great local spot out. read more

This place is so awesome outside the upstairs and downstairs both have different vibes. Upstairs had a stage with live music comfy couches and bar. Downstairs in the courtyard is bird cages with some of the prettiest birds I've seen. You are sitting under a canopy of umbrellas and trees. Very relaxing just sitting listening to the birds. Our waiter was great and I have no complaints about anything. The beer cheese and bacon tots were really good. I ordered the charcuterie which I noticed was kinda of expensive but after I got it I was shocked by how large it was, definitely worth sharing. The grilled chicken Caesar was good also. read more

I have loved this place since they opened. The beer is amazing and I'm an ipa snob and I love getting the flights so I can try the different varieties. I also always get the perch burger as I love the jalepeno marmalade and the onion ring. One of my favorite burgers of all time. I also pair it with the tots with goat cheese and basil vinaigrette. I'm not normally a tater tot fan but these truly hit the spot. Can't forget the Brussels sprouts. If you like good beer paired with some entertainment, this is a great stop. The Perch has always been an easy go-to spot for me because I live so close. It's a hidden gem in downtown Chandler with a large outdoor patio area that is shaded by many trees. But what makes the Perch so famous are its birds. There are over 50 rescue birds in cages situated throughout the patio area. These topical birds love human interaction and make for some fun entertainment. Just don't be that guy and stick your finger in a cage. The Perch also makes their own beer. They have close to 40 beers on tap that change often. Their beers have some fun names and are usually related to birds. Coffee Blonde, Bird Cafe and Bird Hands are a few of my favorites. The best thing to do is order a flight and sample a few because they have so many to choose from. I mostly come here for a drink, but I have had their Perch wings and pizza before and enjoyed them. Many of their food items have their craft beers incorporated into the ingredients. The Perch recently expanded their patio and rooftop bar areas during COVID summer. There are a few flat screens around the bar area so you can watch your game. The tables are high tops; you don't have to strain your neck to watch a game. The Perch had several of their own IPAs on tap. They have a great cocktail menu and plenty of spirits to choose from. Their menu has a great selection of options depending on your mood and level of hunger. We ordered their wings and chose hot buffalo with blue cheese sauce. Great flavor and heat. I love the rainy weather, we've been having. However, I really want to come back and experience the patio. I want to be amongst these fine feathered friends. I recently moved to Chandler and decided to take my friend here for his birthday, I do not regret it. We sat inside near the bar area during a busy time. However, the service was great and the person serving us was very friendly. We order a beer, along with another drink, and after checking our IDs, the server noticed that it was my friends birthday so he gave us the drinks for free :). We are huge burger connoisseurs so naturally my friend ordered the Perch Burger. He said he would place the burger in the top three burgers he's ever had. The portions were big and I was expecting to pay more for the food. Loved the bird cages, lights, and the overall vibe. There was also a roof top bar with live music and games. I had heard about this place because everyone talks about all the rescue birds on the patio. So I found myself down south and decided to check it out. My first time there was mid day on Saturday and it was busy due to the brunch crowd. I ordered the Watermelon salad but was disappointed that it is only seasonal, so the salad arrived but with beets instead. The salad was so so, the greens looked a little tired and several pieces of greens were very old and slimy. The taste was ok, but I felt the beets were too salty. Being vegan/vegetarian I eat tons of salad and prefer when the ingredients shine and each flavor can be appreciated individually. Service was adequate but not exemplar. We had to ask out sever several times for drink refills and my friend had to walk out and try to find silverware after our server forgot to bring us silverware after he forgot it. I do feel the restrooms put on the patio could use a little more light inside the sheds, but I do like the outside communal wash stand. read more

Stopped in for breakfast on Saturday and glad we did! We got their around 9am with our puppy and it was nice and quiet compared to your stressful breakfast environment places and the server was very nice and sat us in a very nice area with lots of greenery + they had little heating laps above the tables. My wife and I had a large cup of coffee and split one of their breakfast plates and it was amazing! We will be back for sure! read more
