Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon in search of the full sour pickles of my youth. I have been buying them from the vendor at the local farmers markets but they were never quite the same. After reading some of the reviews on Google and here on Yelp I decided to give this place a try. I must say I was not disappointed. Not only did I find the pickles that I was looking for but I picked up the song peppers and garlic for the wife. Wow I saw on the website that they do a number to farmers markets around the state , oddly enough they don't appear to go to any of the ones locally here in South Bergen. But that's okay , Teaneck is not that far for a ride on a Sunday afternoon. The woman who owns the place was extremely helpful and pleasant. The prices were in line with those I pay at the flea market so I have to say that they are good. Bottom line , I'll be back. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! After an aweful breakfast up the street, this place sure did lift my spirits. First off, they have samples of all their pickles, olives, chips, dips, mushrooms, etc... available to try. Absolutely the best as no one wants to buy something on a guess that they might like it. The quality of everything was top notch as well. The employees were welcoming and said if there was anything we didn't see and wanted to try they would make it happen. First class customer service :) We bought a few different items and there is no skimping here. Every container was packed! Pickles were AMAZING. I live outside of Philadelphia in King of Prussia and ordered these online. They came packaged very nicely, taste was outstanding, and arrived fairly quickly! I would give them a good review but I couldn't try their pickles because they are closed half the time. Their store hours are from 10-5 but when I show up at those times there closed. They only accept credit card of you spend 10 or more dollars. read more

This place is amazing the aroma coming out of the store brought me in. When I walked in I was welcomed right away. They had a wide variety of selection, I saw Some sweets but I was strictly there for some pickles. I ended up going with the firecracker after tasting a bunch of samples which was awesome. Best sundries tomatoes I have ever had. Not sure what they do but they are not tough and they are flavorful. I hate that they are so good because it is a bit of a drive to go there for me. Once there I can load up on the sundries and also the pickles. read more

Pickles are my favorite food, always have been, so it's safe to say I am a pickle expert. My favorite is garlic sours and I always try to keep an ongoing supply in my fridge. I was so happy to see a pickle vendor at the Ridgewood farmers market but SO disappointed with the product!! Their pickles are so salty, to a point of being inedible. I can only speak for their garlic sours. I've tried them multiple times hoping it was just a bad batch.. but nope. Consistently over salty. So now, I go to NYC to get pickles. Wish these were better as it would be more convenient. read more

Purchased sour, half sour and beginning sour. this was at the denville market. The sour was half sour. the half sour was just beginning to sour. the beginning sour was just a cucumber. Also very little vinegar/spices in the mix. Brine was watered down vinegar. Anybody can make better than this. read more

Best kosher pickles around. The pre prepared platters are awesome, but make sure you call ahead because it takes them time to make them. Best pickle shop ever. they even have chocolate and candies too. open at weird times, it's hard to go at your convience. but if you're having a bbq, you have to go here to grab some quarts of kosher dills or some other exotic pickled concoction! and of course, if you just love pickles, get it here fresh. a bit on the pricey side, but it's gourmet, so it's worth it. read more

I bought a Groupon from here on pure impulse (I was new to groupon at the time) and immediately regretted it. "WHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO DO WITH $20 TO A PICKLE STORE??" I berated myself. I mean, I'm that person who fishes pickles slices out of hamburgers because I don't like the way it tastes. HOWEVER, last year I had one fresh pickle from Katz's deli that forever changed my 100% negative opinion of pickles to about 98% negative. So that's why I impulse-bought the Pickle Licious groupon, and that's why on one sunny Saturday morning, I dragged my boyfriend to the store in Teaneck to use my groupon. And found out the store is closed Saturdays. D'oh! We went back on Sunday and picked up new pickles, horseradish pickles and some hummus. Barrels of different "aged" pickles, and lots of samples to try. There were lots of olives, candy, and other snack items in addition to pickles. I guess some of the things you could probably find cheaper at a supermarket, but it's always good to support smaller local business, right? My total came to...exactly $20! They were having a special of $1 off each quart of pickles.This is one tale of an impulse buy gone right. Both flavors of hummus (sweet pepper and sundried tomato) went great with chips and as a sandwich spread. Oh, and I ate the entire quart of new pickles in 2 days. The snacks are great! I came across this place at a market a year ago and was veery excited to see it in person being I just moved to Teaneck a week ago. I love almost smile away and we decided (me and my tribe of a 10, 8, and 6 year old girl)...They were supposed to close at 5 and when we got there at 4:45 the door was locked and the closed sign was up. I wanted to try again today, the girls were still very excited, so I called before we left and explained the issue we had the day prior and we were assured that they would be open....They were open when we got there... but WOW how rude the woman working was!! We walked in and were immediately SCREAMED at from across the store to leave and wait outside because there was a three customer limit. I get the limits... I get the rules... but why yell at me with three kids in tow when you could have easily said it like any decent person would have? We waited... The kids were still excited... When we were allowed to enter the woman was still very rude. We felt rushed the entire time. When we were checking out (we still spent $30) my 10 year old decided to mention to the woman that how she acted was very rude and it scared her...the woman took no fault and still upheld the theme of the visit. SO RUDE! I live here and love the selection at thus spot but we will not be back. read more

This place is awesome! I love specialty shops and this is one of my favorites. Reasonably priced and clean inside. My top choices are the hot and spicy and the sour pickles. Awesome! Friendly and helpful people. Great, but small variety of pickles. Truthfully, I would have liked to see a larger selection but that's really no big deal. They also have a variety of condiments like marinated mushrooms, olives, dips and peppers. To my surprise, they even had a great selection of one of my new obsessions, Sea Salt! They have a bunch of sea salt from around the world like black Hawaiian sea salt, smoked Japanese sea salt and so on. Lots of people overlook salt which is too bad. Great little shop. Here at picklelicious in Teaneck NJ. Amazing. You can smell the pickles just as you get to the door. And when you get inside is smells even better. They have a nice variety of pickles. They even let you sample them. It reminds me of when I was a little girl their pickles are all in a barrel. They have some nice old fashioned candies and oils and vinegars and olives and condiments. They are not too expensive. For a qt. of pickles it's $8. The people are very nice and friendly also. If you like pickles as much as I do then you definitely need to visit this place. This place makes the best spicy oil cured olives in the universe. The half-sours are wonderful...everything they make is fabulous. My husband and I live in Clifton and this store is a 30 minute drive. Today was the second time we have driven all the way to Teaneck only to discover they were closed. It was a Tuesday at 12:15 and not on a Jewish holiday. Too bad. We are leaving for the shore on Thursday and wanted to stock up on ingredients for an antipasto platter. From now on, I am going to call ahead to make sure they are open. Costco sells really nice marinated mushrooms and olives but I would rather have had them from PL. read more

Best Pickles! I've been going here since their old location in Teaneck and now still since they moved to Cedar Lane. If you're a pickle fan, you have to come here. I love my horseradish pickles or HOT pickles and they have so much more then pickles for such a little store. They are always VERY friendly when I go there and their prices are very reasonable.
