This was some of the best red chili sauce we ate while in Santa Fe. Everything our party of 10 ordered was fabulous. The clams lucifer was very different, interesting and delicious. We also ordered the trio for an appetizer and were very pleased, I don't normally rave about chili con queso, but the stuff was heavenly!! The French onion soup was good, but a little too sweet for my taste. The Plato Mexicano was fabulous as was poulet Marengo and the pork dish (can't recall the name but I believe it was just a pork version of a similar chicken dish). read more

I just returned from a 3-day corporate retreat in Santa Fe, where we had approximately 100 people for our kick-off dinner at the Pink Adobe. Prior to the retreat, we coordinated the dinner with Elizabeth, who was wonderful to work with, and when we arrived, both the food and the service were exceptional. It was especially great that the restaurant worked with us to accommodate our various dietary restrictions, and provided a lot of options for those folks. The only slight drawback was that as a group of 100, we were probably on the tip top end of what the Dragon Bar could accommodate in terms of seating and physical space. There were three separate rooms that people could spread out into, but especially at the beginning, it felt crowded. Overall, this was a great experience, and we would highly recommend the Pink Adobe for other, similar events. read more

While it was pricey, this place was fantastic! I went with a party of twelve and the service was still excellent. The food was delicious. I had the much-recommended Steak Dunigan and it was divine. I ordered the peppers and cheese enchiladas. When my dinner arrived it was a pile of cheese and sauce and beans and rice and posole. I think the presentation would have been much more appealing had it been not a big pile of stuff. Sometimes people think more food on the plate is better. I thought it looked very unappealing. I could not see the enchiladas. I mentioned to the waiter that there was a big pile of food there. And he said I'm glad you like your meal. Later he came back when I had eaten dome of it and said are you stuffed? Not exactly what I expect from a waiter in a restaurant like this. I said no I am not stuffed there's just too much cheese on top of this and I can't see what I'm eating. The setting is very nostalgic and the restaurant has been there for many many years. Pink Adobe was rude and cut us off from our drinks. I have never had that happen before and we've lived here for over a year. The restaurant wasn't even crowded yet they wouldn't serve us drinks. We had dinner at the Pink Adobe during a weekend visit to Santa Fe and were quite pleased with the quaintness, eclectic menu options, and professional waitstaff. The atmosphere was delightful and the pricing was very reasonable. We were seated at a private, comfortable table next to a fireplace. The French Onion soup was sharp, cheesy, and full of rich bread and tender onions. The tamales were average. The cheese enchiladas were very good and made with blue tortillas. Great Green Chili Stew, still, although it's been a bit mild, low on the garlic in recent years, sometimes way too many potatoes, which are not in the original recipe that Rosa started making during or rt after WWII The Big One. Who am I to say? Well, I've been sitting in the super-cool attached Dragon Bar, eating their Green Chili Stew with an excellent drink (bartenders have always been great & still are), every August, since 1978....about 37 years. Best part of The Pink is the Dragon Bar, where you can basically get a full menu of food, and much nicer ambiance/decor. read more

The Pink Adobe has some Creole Louisiana choices on the menu. I tried their Shrimp Etouffee. It tasted like Spanish rice & not many shrimp. If there is not a true Canjun cooking in the kitchen, skip the Creole dishes. My husband loved his New Mexican dish. The Pink Adobe should do New Mexican dishes only. This dinner was amazing. Service was so attentive. Our family was seated next to one of the fire places. Made the experience so warm, since it was very cold out side. I at the clams as my entree with lots of bread. It was spicy but worth every bite. Our family ate several items. Favorites were the Steaks, clams, and Chili Rellenos. Finished off with dessert. Only thing keeping this from being 5 star is the price. Yes the food is good. Yes you're eating at a Santa Fe institution. But should you have to break the bank for south west food? I could not wait to eat at the Pink Adobe during my third visit to beautiful Santa Fe. I made reservations for my husband and me, showed up on time, and was acknowledged by the male host who was extremely rude. We were seated inside in a corner area with two extra small chairs and a table the size of my living room side table. Waited 20 minutes before the unhappy waitress gave us water. We requested a wine list and waited 15 more minutes! During this time, the staff that walked by kicked my husbands chair more than 6 times. We walked out after 35 minutes, never saw the wine list. Interestingly enough, the host saw us leaving and he looked the other way. Leaving that awful place was the best decision. We ended up having a WONDERFUL dinner experience with excellent food, wine, and service at 315 Restaurant and Wine Bar across the street. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and the restaurant did not disappoint. The outside patio is really beautiful and created quite the romantic atmosphere. We both tried a couple of the cocktails from the speciality list and both enjoyed them (the lemonade cocktail is especially good!). The biggest pleasant surprise for me was the cornbread. I grew up in Georgia and have had some amazing cornbread before, and this was amazing cornbread! They serve a basket of the bread as a starter, but I would have loved to take some to go too, it was that good. The entrees were very good but the other standout food was the bread pudding desert. Fantastic! The location of the restaurant is so convenient that we were able to take a walk around the historic area after dinner too. Went here for Feb restaurant week and had the crappiest meal in Santa Fe discounted it was $100 for 2 people. It's sad that the food has gone downhill because it used to be a great place for locals. The lump crab cakes have no lumps of crab it's a small croquette. The seafood enchilada was served with mostly beans and rice and 2bites of shrimp total. The tres leches cake is a dry cake not moist with no cream it's not the real thing. The popcorn at the bar was better than the meal. Stick to ordering the $12 margarita and at least you get some friendly locals to entertain you! read more

We recently visited Santa Fe, which is a great town full of great restaurants and The Pink Adobe came highly reccomended by our hotel concierge and the guide on a walking tour we took of the city. We may have hit the restaurant on an off night, but we were not impressed. We were seated next to the sidewalk and asked to move to the patio. The manager was very accomodating to that request. That is the best I can say about our dining experience. Our waitress kept forgetting our requests and we had to ask twice for thinks such as drink orders or water. I ordered the house steak and it was OK, not great, not bad. My boyfriend ordered the lobster and crab enchiladas. They were served barely warm and we sent them back to be reheated. The plate came back warm but the food was still cold. The drinks were good but very expensive and I thought the food was quite expensive for the quality. The atmosphere is festive, especially if you eat on the patio in the back. There are so many other good restaurants in Santa Fe, I would pass on the Pink Adobe. read more

They were incredibly accommodating of all of our requests to set up the room for the presentation we had and they made sure we had everything we needed. On our most recent trip to Santa Fe we were informed that the Pink Adobe was under new ownership and that it was fabulous! We were not disappointed. The interior has kept all the charm and ambiance it had under Rosalea Murphy, plus the new owners have brought back her classic recipes! We started with the Clams Lucifer...WOW. Flavorful and spicy! The Shrimp Remoulade was delicious. For entries we ordered the Steak Dunigan and the Seafood Enchilada. Simply perfection! The steak was so tender and cooked exactly medium rare as we ordered. The seafood enchilada had so much flavor and I found myself mopping up every last bit on the plate! Our server suggested an excellent bottle of wine that paired well with the meal. We concluded the meal with Rosalea's Legendary French Apple Pie which was the best apple pie I have ever had. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners Leonard and Isabelle who were such gracious hosts and obviously invest themselves fully in the restaurant. Their desire to bring back the original menu and keep the spirit of Rosalea alive makes this establishment a treasure that should not be missed. read more

I ordered a beer, than another, only to find out they only had one pale ale. We read the menu and ordered lamb chops, only to find out they were also out! We were asking about the Mexican Plate and were told they were out of Pozole also. At 18.00 for spaghetti and 18.00 for half of a fried, chicken, I honestly felt this place was over rated. the prons were great but the long John silvers,s tartar sauce and corn batter was not needed. I have a suggestion. skip the drinks and main course and order the bread pudding. read more
