Eat outside on the patio! This is THE place. Ps...start out with a drink next door at the Dragon Room before dinner.

Trying a recommendation from a friend in the art business in SFE, and The Pink Adobe didn't disappoint. Service staff was on the ball for a Saturday night on the popular patio...busy, busy, busy! Ordering a bottle of Rosé, the wine steward knew the assignment...good knowledge and training! Our server asked the right questions and seemed very well-versed in menu items, descriptions and starter recommendations. I had a Beet Salad-wonderfully sweet, creamy and acidic. My companions had Shishitos Locos and Clams Lucifer---both excellent with spiciness and richness--to stimulate taste buds. For entrees, we had a Plato Mexicano with Carne Asada, an Enchilada Bar with Chicken Tinga, and I had a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake for my entree. All were presented well, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. To finish off the night, we selected the Raspberry Tres Leches Cake, Chocolate Lava Cake and a Cappuccino for the lady. All the finishers were rich, decadent and masterfully presented. We will be back...with friends...to perfect patio at The Pink Adobe!

Won't return - I do NOT like lying. Location: 4 Ambience: 4 Food: 2 Service: 0 First, their front desk was un-manned at 5:09. A couple before us was waiting. We waited for a little while, I then went in to look for a hostess. Shortly a woman with a ponytail, and a man with eye glasses showed up to work. Don't believe the front desk hostess's claim that "that table is reserved". 5pm on a Tuesday, the out door section is empty (inside isn't packed either). When she sat us under the sun, I asked immediately that can we please have a table under the shade, like that one under the umbrella. "Oh that table is reserved." When I made reservation, I only indicated outdoor, not sure they've a place for the dinner to indicate exactly which table. Sitting under the sun is uncomfortable, so I got up and asked one more time, for a table before a lovely tile mosaic with tiny fountain. "Oh that table is reserved." When we about to leave, she offered the first table I pointed at. Shortly after, a couple was seated at the table before tile mosaic with tiny fountain. To be accurate, I did ask them if they've reserved this specific table. "No." Why would she lie: despise Irene which is totally ok, or Chinese or people of color (I've experienced this a few times prior...) which is... let's stop here. They use Riedel glasses, which is nice - seems everyone in Santa Fe uses Riedel. I've Frog's Leap Sauvignon Blanc - the vineyard we visited in 2015 - it's as usual, very good. Food - we've - duck: on the sweet side - Jetty Jack: like the crispy fried skin Both entries look chunky, large portion, homey, nothing 'fine' about it. They claim themselves as New Mexican, whichever that means, but I need to add salt and pepper to add some tastes for both entries. I grew up knowing, so did Joy Luck Club, (both book and movie) that adding soy sauce to a dish is the ultimate insult. I'll stop here. By the time we leave, the outdoor section is only 40% occupied. I did tell to the man with glasses who's at front also, that lying isn't cool.

we got a reservation in the outdoor seating which is nice with live band playing until around 8pm. but we were told that we can't order bar menu in the garden but if we sit at the bar table we can order food from bar menu and restaurant menu too. which is strange doesnt make sense they are literally 5 ft away in the same courtyard. The service was good, staffs are friendly but they seem overwhelmed by the amount of customers. sometimes slow in refilling water, but overall took really good care of us. The clam lucifer is such a surprised. no wonder it's award winning, it's a chowder that i had never tasted before, it's pretty spicy with a good amount of shell on clams in it. the baguettes are toasted perfectly with good flavor to dip in the chowder. for main i had the duck confit , which is basically a duck Enchiladas with red mole on top . it's flavorful but i wish i knew its presented as enchilada. There are some really good cocktails here too. 4-6pm Tuesday to Sunday are happy hour , 15% food discount and some wine and beer special price too.

    Homemade cornbread

Food was incredible!! Service impeccable and ambiance was an upscale, authentic southwest. The homemade cornbread was mouthwatering. Serious self- control is needed to not eat 6 pieces and have no room left for any additional food. The elote was delicious and the cheese enchilada was devine. We were so pleasantly stuffed from the glorious food up to this point that we had no room to even split dessert. This is truly a gem in Santa Fe!

Absolutely forgot to take food pictures because it was too yummy to not dive in! The drinks were also amazing, very well balanced and we love some Dos Hombres mezcal. The service was amazing and super quick. Always on top of our water and food. I ordered the lamb shank and it was so tender that it was falling off the bone. I can't have dairy and they accommodated my needs so well! The spot is a super cute small place with lush lighting. Will definitely be back to try more yummies!

    Plato Mexicano! Just awesome.

Been awhile since our last visit to The Pink Adobe Still a charming restaurant, well staffed and ready to tempt your senses. But not until 5pm....doors are locked until then. Menu has changed somewhat, still serving enchiladas, rellenos and carne asada but with a different Santa Fe/New Mexican flare...leaning more Mexico with Mole...kinda Everything was delicious. Plato Mexicano was terrific from start to finish Grilled Salmon And stuffed Relleno with Calabacitas were both great All were a "take" on Mexican food, definitely not expected Crab cake...yep delicious Pinion cornbread delivered warm with butter...loved it Pink Adobe is doing it right yet very different than the usual Santa Fe fare....all enjoyed Hours: 5-9. Parking: do your best Definitely cozy dining at its best with multiple kiva fireplaces going during winter months Doesn't get much better than this.

Enchiladas were delicious, French chicken was great- more fried than baked. The braised lamb was sub-par. All desserts were excellent! Service was great.

The red has that deep, earthy flavor with just the right kick, while the green brings a brighter, roasted heat that balances everything out. Together? That classic "Christmas style" combo that hits on every level. The masa was soft and flavorful (not dry like you get at some places), and the filling was generous and well-seasoned. The sides sealed the deal--fluffy Spanish rice, hearty beans, and a fresh, crisp salad that cut through the richness perfectly. Portion size was solid, presentation was clean, and everything tasted like it was made with care--not rushed, not watered down for tourists. Service was quick, friendly, and exactly what you want when you're trying to keep a night moving. Authentic, satisfying, and exactly what you hope for when you come to Santa Fe. I'd order this again without hesitation!!!

We thought we might have got the closing time mixed up so once we found a parking spot, I went over to ask. They said they were moving all of the tables so that they could clean the concrete pathway. We asked if it was OK we sat outside still with our dog and they said that was fine. They moved us to the other side of the pillar which we originally didn't mind but then quickly realized there's no lighting there. So we were eating dinner in a very dim lit area. After reading the reviews, we were excited to try the fish tacos, tamales, and fresh chips and salsa. Unfortunately, none of these really were superstar standouts for us. The blackened fish didn't have a ton of flavor. I found myself searching for a salsa that had a little bit of salt and flavor to spruce up the fish taco. I ate one of the three and my husband ate the remaining. The tamales tasted fresh and the ratio of protein to masa was great. We ate the tamale mostly without the mole sauce, which we didn't really care for. The salsa and chips that came out as an appetizer were fine. The salsas were different and flavorful. I wish that when they dropped off the different salsas (which they do on a rotation) they would have explained what each one was.

On the food side, Palacio cooks their red Chile for over 8 hours, making it in my opinion one of the best and most flavorful in Santa Fe. Most other places I get Christmas style, but here, the red Chile is just perfect. On this trip, we had a smothered breakfast burrito and enchiladas suizas. I have been coming here for thirty-five years, and it blows my mind that after more than three decades, it keeps reaching new heights while fiercely retaining everything that made it legendary in the first place: the unbeatable high quality, the remarkably affordable prices, and those effortlessly cool, historic vibes. It is a rare, beautiful gem that refuses to compromise its soul, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This visit was extra special because my fiancé was a first-timer, and he was instantly converted, falling just as madly in love with the magic of this place as I did decades ago. On this particular afternoon, the lines were wrapped around the courtyard and the energy was absolutely electric. It was hella busy, which is a testament to how beloved this institution remains. Rather than waiting for a table, we decided to grab our food to go--a move that turned out to be pure perfection. We took our feast over to the historic plaza square, found a spot to sit, and ate under the shade of the trees while listening to live music drift through the air. With a beautiful, cool mountain breeze rustling through the plaza, it was the most quintessential, magical Santa Fe experience you could ever ask for. As for the food, it remains an absolute revelation. I ordered my enchiladas "Christmas" style, split right down the middle with both their famous, deeply savory red chile and their bright, perfectly spiced green chile. The first bite instantly reminded me why no one else can touch what they do here. The blue corn tortillas were tender, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the chiles carried that robust, earthy, authentic New Mexico heat that warms you from the inside out. It is a flawless execution of culinary tradition. To be able to deliver that level of world-class, scratch-made perfection at a price point that still feels incredibly generous is nothing short of a miracle. Whether you sit in their enchanting, labyrinthine dining rooms or pack it up for a picnic on the square, The Shed is the absolute pinnacle of the Santa Fe spirit.

I was surprised to find them close even though online says that they are open at 11am that day. I checked on google and it was suppose to be open. I called and they said that they are open but waiting for alcohol to be delivered at 3pm. Did they assume that every customer coming in is ordering alcohol? As far as I understand this is a restaurant that serves food and alcohol and not a bar. Shortly after my arrival, there was a large tour with 12 people showed up. I could see that the waiter was a bit flustered because he also had to tend to other customer as well as the tour. I guess this is where the tour take people for authentic taco experience. In my opinion these are more toned down gringo tacos. My taco didn't come with a side of sauce like everyone else. I also noticed that the tour all received a side of salsa which I didn't. I'm not sure if the waiter forgot. I had to flag down the waiter a few time because he also forgot my drink. I also ordered an agua Fresca watermelon and it wasn't made of real watermelon but flavor syrup from the bar. I wished I had known that it wasn't real melon. 2.5 stars for the food and 2 for service.
