We have been taking our son here for almost six months now and every month there is something new, which makes it exciting to come back. The place is always very clean and the staff are constantly sanitizing, especially after a child leaves a station, which we really appreciate. It is a great place to bring our son and very fulfilling in terms of fun, excitement, and play. It is definitely one of our favorite spots. The staff are always kind and respectful, and it never feels overcrowded. There is always just the right amount of kids and parents to enjoy the space comfortably.

This is a great place for the little ones 12 and under! It's located right in Grossmont mall. Perfect enclosed area for the little ones. What is awesome is you pay for the day and enter in and out as much as you would like. You can bring in food and drinks just not "party size" which makes sense! The kids loved it here it has a little bit of everything. It was perfect for our rainy day Also the manger was sooooo nice! A couple of the kids had a minor accident and she made sure to go out of her way checking in on the kids asking if we needed anything and even offering ice packs. There is a bit of remolding going on for future expansion it looks like.

We came to The Playground at Grossmont Center for a birthday party, and it was such a great experience. The space was clean, well-organized, and perfect for kids to run, climb, and just be kids. Liam was helpful and asked if we needed anything throughout our visit. My son had an absolute blast from start to finish and didn't want to leave. The party setup was smooth and stress-free, which made it even better for parents. Highly recommend for birthday parties or an easy, fun outing!

This is our favorite of all the ones we tried in SD. This indoor play yard has the most variety, some educational stuff, and the staff is really nice. My daughter (2 1/2 now, been coming for a year) loves it for the play, I love it for the cleanliness, vibe, and staff. It's open concept and has areas all around the different play areas for parents to sit and relax while watching their kids play.

This place pissed me off with the blatant cash grab at the door with grippy socks - you must have THEIR branded grippy socks to enter, competitor socks despite being made by the same manufacturer, are not allowed. Just charge whatever fees you need to operate up front in your pricing. Moving on there are some unique play areas and aspects that the kids enjoy so I'll give them props for that. I will also give them props for having people constantly roving and cleaning and spraying and re-organizing everything. Other than that, the place falls flat for me. It looks like it's lacking routine maintenance as evidenced in the flooring and ceiling tiles, and the clientele match the aesthetics. Overall I probably won't be back.

This place is a nightmare. Overcrowded and poorly maintained. There is no place to put your stuff and not enough seating for parents. The play equipment in the back seemed broken. There was a very large spill in the tiny front crowded areas that was packed with strollers and shoes and people. Someone told the front desk staff about it yet they didn't do anything. The staff seem like they are all 16 yrs old and no adults. $22 plus socks is way too much for this place. read more

Hi everyone! We have a 3 year old and he sure loves this place. It's very clean, AC works great, staff constantly is disinfecting. They recently added new jumping equipment and a small toddler kitchen set. Our kid has a great time here, but the staff is unwilling to right a wrong. In August they changed their sock policy. You now must buy and wear their new logo socks. That is understandable. What's not customer friendly though, is making us purchase socks from them a few weeks before they change their policy knowing the change is coming, and then refusing to exchange them for their new $4 dollar pair of socks. But, if I post a google or yelp review, I can at least get $4 off my next visit. Let's see if they honor that and give me a free pair of sock... read more

My daughter enjoyed her Sunday here. I love that you can come and go as needed. I saw nothing but happy kids around. The staff was very friendly. Other reviews mentioned cleanliness... I saw people cleaning every time I looked up. They were wiping chairs, tables, vacuuming bounce houses, ect. Seems like they try to maintain a clean playground. The bathrooms are tidy but not clean. I don't know if the day started off clean. We didn't go until 2 hours into play. They offer snacks for sale but you're welcome to bring your own. Socks are required. $4 for the grip socks and they are quality socks. Adults can wear your own socks. Adults are free!!! It wasn't over crowded on Sunday so I definitely recommend taking your kid. I don't recommend children older than 12. read more

Love this indoor playground y'all! Staff is super friendly and understands parents! They require grippy socks, but they do sell them. No biggie! Lots of comfy couches, a few massage chairs, picnic tables, free wi-fi, freedom to bring your own drinks and food, clean bathrooms, and TONS of options for the kids to run off their energy! The front desk associate told me they are also bringing in a coffee bar soon! read more

I use to really like bringing my kids here but lately I feel like it's not as good. I do like how they updated their floor with a bunch of toys, different activities, ball pit, etc. My kids love their new activities. Unfortunately, I feel as if it's not as clean. Brought my daughter here recently. Things I saw while we were there: - Kids running around with no socks on (which is funny considering you have to pay for their grip socks) - a gross floor (trash everywhere) - no cleaning (the staff definitely use to clean more) - a dog (a big one too) on the play floor (as a dog owner, I don't mind but I know other parents do and doesn't help they weren't cleaning up either) - Staff were just standing around gossiping, playing the arcade games at the front. They use to wear shirts too so you could tell they were staff, doesn't seem like they do that anymore. I'll probably bring my kids here every once in a while but don't think it's worth a membership or coming regularly anymore with how much it's gone downhill. read more

I like that it's clean, good air flow, and usually something new for the kids to play with. I appreciate that they require both adults and kids to wear socks, have clean bathrooms and I almost always see someone wiping down the play equipment. I bring my laptop and work (free wi-fi) while the kids play. It's a win. read more

The place considered good for 6 years and under however during some weekends it gets really pack as they don't limit the number of people inside. Also Consider pricy as one child is $22 and they have to charge you $4 for socks as they don't accept any other playgrounds socks even if fully grips ( I see that consider $26 charge if they are not flexible with the socks) I would prefer if I can get a call from the manager to understand that concept. read more

The kids had so much fun! They have things for all ages really. That being said, it is germ central. If you are at all concerned about your kids picking up germs I would not advise you bring them here. Staff is picking up and returning toys constantly, but sanitizing is not happening in the middle of the playtime. I would not recommend booking the place for a party as people already bring in their own food from outside and use the "reserved" tables freely. read more

I had my daughter's 2nd bday here last weekend and it went great. Staff was extremely helpful and flexible, it definitely helped being the last party of the day. I paid an extra fee to be able to bring/break a pińata and I thought that was great! Staff was friendly and I appreciated all the information they provided me with, before and at the party. ** I also paid for them to provide/deliver pizza, so I wouldnt have to worry about picking pizza up with all the things I already needed to do that day. It's like if someone crossed a SkyZone Trampoline Park with a McDonald's Playpen and slapped it with a coat of pastel paint and candy stickers. Sorry, CANDEE stickers. I will say that the prices are very reasonable. $25 buys you two hours of playtime. Grip socks are extra, food is extra, some of the games are extra. And the area itself is impressively clean, especially considering the number of young children traipsing about. On the negative side of things, however, the list is a bit longer. First, there's not a ton to do. Candeeland has limited space to work with and much of it is taken up by sitting areas for parents. The empty space could easily house 2-3 more small activities without sacrificing any existing areas. Still, what activities they do have are pretty intricate, with the multilevel play area having a nice array of padded areas for children to crawl through and a toddler area with nice pneumatic tube setup to delight the young. Next, even though the place is less than a year old, there's already some breakage of some of the area. There's a floor made up of touch screens that displays numerous games for kids to step on a play with. However, it's apparent that some larger kids have smacked a number of screens, causing them to go out or flicker. Which leads to my biggest issue. There are not that many people working here. This means that there are usually people minding the gate and checking if your kid is leaving with the right person. But, there aren't enough people on the floor to ensure safety or police older kids from doing things they shouldn't be doing. Candeeland really is a place that caters to those between 3-8 years of age. Older kids either don't fit on some of the slides or play a bit too rough with the environment. More than once, a screaming 12 year old almost barreled over my kid, knocked her off a slide, or hit her with one of the nerf axes. Sure, they balk when you glare at them. But, they just go back to screaming and thrashing about while their parents sleep oblivious in the corner. So, does my seven year old like Candeeland? Yes, she loved it and wants to come back. Did I like Candeeland? M'eh, not particularly. Still, I'm sure I'll be back eventually...

The drinks were not my favorite, but since the kids get an hour of playtime, I ended up purchasing something while waiting for them to play. Highly recommend visiting if you get a chance.

It's a little far from me in the South Bay but I knew I had to try it. For parking, the lot is shared with other businesses so when I got there, it was full and parked in the lot down the street. I wouldn't suggest to park in front of the NXPT if it's the games classes since we're using wall balls near cars. When I found the class on classpass for Wednesday night, the name of it was a little confusing because it said "OCR/Games/Hyrox/Deka" so I didn't really know what that meant until I showed up to the class to learn that depending on when the next event is, that is the type of training they're doing. So my class focused on the Hyrox because the Anaheim event is in five weeks. Hannibal is the trainer and he was friendly with a quick introduction and had to jump on a call before class started. I asked around to sign the waiver and got someone to help me. I wanted to make sure that didn't slow me down starting the class on time. Thankfully I do strength training and hot yoga outside of this class so I felt I could keep up but having been to new classes before, they seem to take care of newbies with just a few more instructions. I ended up figuring it out and maybe the style of this gym is no hand holding but I ended up asking other attendees in the class about the structure. Most of the moves in this class were standard but when it came to Sled, I wasn't sure in my form. I'd suggest when they get newbies in these games classes to ask them if they've done anything like this before and if not, show them the proper technique of the moves. That helps in the actual events since form matters and also prevents injuries. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back!

Nicole and Lauri teach many of the classes and they are fresh and ready to teach unlike some of the part-time instructors who work for other fitness and dance centers who drag themselves into the studio after performing work for another company . Nicole and Lauri are not like the part-time or burned out instructors who arrive late, end the session early and often don't seem to want to teach the class, rather they want to be home - and/or any place but teaching Zumba. The Move Fitness and Dance instructors never embarrass the students and, unlike some fitness and dance centers they never yell out corrections to students in front of the class. There are not enough words to express how great the Move Fitness & Dance studio is and if you haven't tried a class - I recommend you do. Excellent job - Nicole and Lauri.

Yes, this place is horrible. I had my Sons Birthday party, I rented a room that only had white tables and folding chairs in it. Nothing was decorated, it Had no table cloths no balloons no plates, forks No anything. The Staff never came in to see if we were OK, if we needed anything,nothing. So finally I went up to the front desk to speak with the manager explained to the manager what was going on the manager then proceeded to say well I'm sure the owner told you that it was extra for plates forks etc. I repeatedly told the rude mgr that the owner did not mention that to me or else I would have purchased it. The mgr continued to go back and forth with me in an argumentative tone she then stated that it was probably was just some miscommunication. So while I am speaking to the manager one of the employees walks up who I later found out was the owner's cousin and she stated that they would give us plates and forks this time with attitude, my mom then told her to not speak to me that way and to calm down, she then apologized. The owner had to be called twice. Then while my kids were playing in the foam pit the mgr had her kids in there I guess the little girl got hit on accident . Again here comes the mgr to get her kids, while mumbling something and giving dirty looks.Then they started to whisper and stare at us. first of all are you working or babysitting your kids, either way she's UNPROFESSIONAL AND SHOULD NOT WORK IN SUCH AN ESTABLISHMENT SUCH AS THAT ONE. The manager called me to make things right by offering a VIP pass or 40.00 back. I chose the 40.00 off because I don't want myself or my kids targeted by the UNRULY manager that works there. Not once did anyone ask if we were OK, or if we needed anything, they were too busy giving us dirty looks and being mean to us. I will say that the owner went the extra mile to make things right, I did not have any problems with her, it was just her unruly staff. You need to know that WITHOUT CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE NO PAYCHECK. You guys are horrible and I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. And like my mom said We would have did better at Chuck E Cheese which is in the same Lot. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment with the policy regarding sticky socks at your indoor playground. I recently visited your establishment with the intention of signing up for a monthly membership for my two children. However, I was informed that only your brand of sticky socks were allowed on the premises. The place was recommended by my neighbor whose kids outgrew it. She gave me her kids socks purchased from this establishment. They have since added their name to their socks and no longer accept their own previous socks from last year. As a parent who has visited multiple indoor playgrounds with my children, I have accumulated a collection of sticky socks from various establishments as well as the socks from a previous patron. I was taken aback by the fact that I would not be able to use these purchased socks at your facility. This policy ultimately led me to decide against signing up for a monthly membership. It is disheartening to see that the potential for recurring income was overshadowed by such a rigid rule. I believe that allowing customers to use their own sticky socks would not only improve convenience for patrons but also potentially increase revenue for the business. I hope that you will reconsider this policy in the future to better accommodate your customers and enhance the overall experience at your indoor playground. read more

I'm a military mom, and today- Veterans Day, I took my daughter to The Playground in Grossmont for some fun. We've been here more times before, but this time the experience was heartbreaking. When I politely asked if they offered a military discount, the staff looked at me with an unpleasant attitude and simply said "$19." Later, the manager -- a woman in a blue sweater -- told me to pay extra because my daughter used drawing paper for workshop, something she'd always been allowed to do before. From then on, it felt like we were being watched every move, and even told to "keep my child still" -- at a children's playground. I don't mind paying full price or extra pay; it's not about the money. What hurts is the disrespect and coldness shown, especially on Veterans Day. Families, military or not, deserve kindness -- and children deserve to play freely without judgment. read more

Been coming to the Playground at Grossmont Center in La Mesa since our son was two! love that they have a separate area for children under 4 to play and stay safe. And now that our son is 5 he enjoys playing in the bigger kid area and able to run and get out his wiggles. over the years they continue to update the equipment and move things around to keep it interesting and entertaining. Lots of places for parents to chill and even use wi-fi to get some work done while kiddos play. read more

This place was over priced for the toys not to have batteries. I was charged for my 11month old that dosnt walk so basically charged for him to crawl around because he was to young and scared of the jumpers and was over the toys since non of them worked. My 2yr old had fun, was clean environment. Extra for $4 for everyone walking in including parents. No money back. Snacks overpriced $2 water bottles. read more

Wow, The Playground totally rocked! My kids had a blast, Ivonne, one of the staff members, was super friendly,welcoming and helpful. Not to mention my daughter felt extremely comfortable around her due to her making conversation while cleaning. The place was clean & had so many cool activities for all ages.
