It's a bummer that their bottomless mimosas ended but overall the experience was good. Sat outside and the server was solid, prompt to get our meals out and followed up on our drinks. Would I return for $10 mimosas when they used to be $13 for bottomless? No, but the food was standard breakfast and it worked out for us so I'll consider returning for that. read more

Love this place. My boyfriend and I are frequent diners as we live next door. It's almost always consistently delicious (maybe one or two bad days out of 20). He gets the basic bacon and eggs breakfast every time, whereas I've tried several dishes: spinach omelette, super spuds, chilequilles (not my fav), corned beef hash (yum!), country fried steak (delicious) and my favorite is actually a lunch item, the California Dip. Went there with the girlfriend and we were sat down by the hostess and nothing l!!! we waited looking over the menu talking when we realized that we were there for about 25 min no waitress or anyone to take our order after the hostess sat us down. About a minute later another couple was seated next to us and the waitress immediately came up to them and ask them for there drinks and took there order. I immediately upset and express my concerns however the staff there didn't give crap and attitude was negative. The service was horrible, the wait for the food was over 45mins and the food was cold. My food was given to someone else in my party and they expected us to just basically share. we were told the wait was 15 minutes for our party of 3..well it ended up being a 50 minute wait only to be told that the grill broke and they would be closing. Its just very unprofessional to be told an unrealistic wait time when there were so many people outside waiting ahead of us. Not to mention we overheard the host tell another party that their grill broke and they may or may not close, and did not inform the rest of us waiting, until another 10 minutes later. It was the first place I brunched in LB, and I have been several times since. My family came into town for my residency graduation, so we started the day with a short walk to Potholder. The food is solid. Traditional American Breakfast staples. Healthier options come with an up charge, and vegetarian options are few. Once the food hit the table, and my aunt got her hot syrup and sliced jalapeños, conversation dropped off precipitously! Their "bottomless mimosas" are actually 4 generous cups of juice & sparkling wine. My cousin and I each got through three (which may or may not have been aided by mum & brother). Potholder Too is one of a few DTLB places that doesn't premix the mimosa. Much appreciated!! read more

It pains me to write this review as potholder cafe was one of my favorite spots to go for brunch, however, I went this past weekend and even though the service was really good (reason I didn't rate it two stars) the food was lacking in flavor and presentation. Absolutely loved my visit to "The Potholder Cafe Too". Presentation, Cleanliness, Service, Food, Coffee, and Authenticity were spot on. Love that they have outdoor seating and there is plenty of parking around very accessible. From hostess to at table waiter everyone had great welcoming, friendly and refreshing customer service, to that I must say again Thank You. Nothing is appreciated than a crew that makes you and your family feel welcomed. I had the tChilaquiles and French Toast, both delicious and filling. Short wait to get our food and must I say loved the unique touch of the table tops as seen on photo taken it is lovely to see the colorful design on their tables. Definitely will visit again next time I'm in town. I'm visiting LB and staying at a nearby hotel. I REALLY wanted an omelette and did a search as to where I could find one. My phone battery was about to die and maps just* got me to Potholder Cafe and boy was I glad. I went to order takeout and found the staff helpful and the waitresses went out of their way to be really nice - like offering my coffee while I waited for my order and even a top off on my way out. I ordered a choose your own omelette with turkey, cheese, avocado and mushrooms and it came with a giant side of potatoes and sourdough toast. It was still piping hot when I got back to my hotel room and so filling and giant. I ate more of it than I wanted to because it tasted so delicious. This is probably one of my favorite places to hit up in LB. The service is usually spot on. We've come once and the server wasn't that attentive. Whenever we sit outside though, we get great service. I love the spuds. I wish I had a larger stomach for the spuds. Everything else is up to par but really, the kicker is that damn spuds. I've only been here two times but today everyone has been great, except one waitress named Grace. All the other servers were patient and comforting to everyone and smiling and talking with great customer service. Grace was extremely rude to us telling us to go outside to wait when the minute before we were told to wait there because it would only be a minute. She did not ask but scolded us as if we were kids and she was very unpleasant to be around. Her energy was not pleasant to be around or to eat in here because of her. I probably won't be coming here again just because of her. She might've had a bad day because the place was short staffed but do not be rude to customers. Gloria was our waitress and she is amazing.
