Came to Omelette Inn for breakfast with a group and it really felt like one of those dependable, classic breakfast spots you can count on. The menu has solid options across the board, so everyone was able to find something they wanted. The hobo omlette was perfect for me! My omelette was good, satisfying, and cooked well--nothing overcomplicated, just done right. Portion size was solid, more than enough for me. Service was friendly and efficient, especially considering we were a group, and the place itself was clean and comfortable. Overall, a reliable breakfast café that does what it's supposed to do. A good choice when you're in the mood for a straightforward, enjoyable breakfast.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: it's a standard cafe vibe and I kinda hate the table cloths but it was clean so they can keep the stars.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music was cool - some solo diners some couples. No weird smells.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: I didn't get her name but my waitress was a magenta haired beauty. She was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. Food: my food came out hot, well cooked, and well seasoned. The home fries made me feel like the chef grew up in the south lol. A five star experience if you love eggs and want a casual experience

Came here on a Thursday around 10am no wait to be seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Old fashion style diner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly wait was a bit long to get order. Ordered classic breakfast burrito with bacon. It was big and good. The lemonade was a big size it was fine. The grilled cheese was big tasted fine. All in all good tasted fine good for a one time try.

Really great omelette situation at the Omelette Inn. The omelettes are apparently made with 3 eggs. They're served with your choice of home fries or hashbrowns with your choice of toast. I ordered the ABC ($15.99) - avocado, hickory smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese. The omelette is beautifully constructed. The egg batter is cooked until it resembles a tortilla enabling it to envelope all the bacon. It's a bacon burrito with an egg tortilla topped with cheddar cheese and avocado. The egg tortilla is so damn tasty. It's buttery thin and the hickory bacon is generously portioned. Delish. I do insist you order an English muffin if you find yourself dining here - it is phenomenally good. The butter melts perfectly into all the nooks and crannies. It's sourdoughy and gives enough chew to make me believe it's not a Thomas English muffin. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Omelette Inn is not new, shiny, or trendy. It is, though, a very good diner with an expansive menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was looking for a late breakfast spot on a Friday and this spot was open so we walked over. I did not like the coffee but enjoyed everything else. I ordered OJ instead and that was fresh. The bacon was thick and crunchy like I like it and one large pancake hit the spot. The staff was great they let me adjust my omelette and it was delicious as well. Prices are not bad compared to everyone around them. I would come back for more.

Small little place with a classic dinner vibe but had one of the best omelettes I have ever eaten. Staff super friendly and quick service . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Look up when you walk in for that huge cloud roof so much space up there haha[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] anyway great for a quick pick me up Breakfast

My sister and I came here on a Saturday morning before attending an event at the convention center. We were greeted by the hostess and promptly sat down. This place has an old timey feel and the decor is dated but its still nice. The service was okay, the servers didn't come check on us much and they were delayed in taking our order. We ordered an omelette, I got french toast, and we ordered a pancake to try. Everything was okay. The one thing I would recommend them to do is get that bathroom fixed. They're missing a door so they put a curtain shower up? Super weird. Parking is street parking only, which was not hard to find.

The food was good and reasonably priced. I loved the blueberry pancake. I had lots of fresh bluebeeries. There's no vegan option. There is, however, one veggie omelet. So if you are vegan, this is not the place for you. The staff were all friendly and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor and furnitures are all dated and need to be updated[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I gave this place 4 stars because of the staff.

    Do they offer bottomless mimosas?

No, they don't offer bottomless mimosas. But they offer a bottle of champagne for $19 that comes with a large orange OR cranberry juice.

Can they accommodate a group of 30?

Probably not unless they close the enitre restaurant for you since the place isn't that big. They have indoor and outdoor seating so it'd be difficult to sit all 30 of you together.

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.

Staff was also very friendly - when they could be seen at least, but it was one cashier/server with two guys in the kitchen and although it's a small hole in the wall place there is still plenty to do if you're understaffed so I'm not even mad about it. Originally, we were going to try to hit up Zuzu's petal, but the line was ridiculously long and the parking was a nightmare, so I decided to take her to my 2nd choice, which was Kin Long. I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill local, Thai place with food that is more homestyle and tastes slightly above average to hit the Thai food fix. Boy, was I wrong! First and foremost, they have their own parking lot, so YAY! It's starting to sound like my standards are low, but they aren't. OMG- their restroom is clean! JK. From the outside, it looked nice enough, but I was impressed when we entered. It had a comfy, modern, clean, and beachy elegance to it (the lights and that chandelier) without it being stuffy or looking disjointed in terms of interior decor. Servers were very polite and accommodating. I let my friend order since she was the guest. She ordered the garlic shrimp noodles and scampi shrimp to share, and the Thai tea drink with the ice cream bar. I ordered 3 cocktails (Jalapeno + tamarind, Lychee, and Thai tea martini) and they were all good (not overly sweet and weak sauce, but balanced, tasty, and had the right amount of buzz). We had a light lunch since we had AYCE hot pot later that evening (Mikiya - yes I'm a good host). The garlic noodles exceeded my expectations - shrimp were huge, seasoned well, and just cooked through, the noodles were broad, float, tender, and had a slight chewiness to it. The scampi shrimp were huge, tasty, succulent, and cooked perfectly (not surprised since the shrimp with the garlic noodles were so good). NOTHING WAS OVERCOOKED OR MADE ME GO.... "MEH...." and I've been to many Thai restaurants even the highly stylized kitschy ones like Farmhouse Thai in SF. The waiters were very attentive. They made their rounds to make sure waters were filled and all guests were taken care of. It helps they were also handsome too! LOL. I generally find many places nice in the competitive LA, but not nice enough for me to travel from the SGV. However, I will go out of my way to visit KL again to try the rest of their menu (drunken noodles, pork jerky, crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc.) because they left a good impression with me. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food, cocktails, clean restrooms, ambiance was coastal modern, has its own designated parking lot, and service was lovely.

My family and I were heading to the Aquarium of the Pacific and wanted to find a good dinner spot…read morenearby afterward. I came across this place on TikTok because of their famous Thai tea popsicle, so naturally I had high hopes. First off, we got incredibly lucky with parking. I can definitely see how parking could be a nightmare since the lot is tiny, so consider finding a spot part of the dining experience. When we arrived, the inside was cute and seemed clean. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. I've never had a restaurant refuse to honor a confirmed reservation. This review isn't about a…read morerestaurant making an honest mistake (things happen, I get it). It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)
