What a wonderful meal! We arrived just as seating started. The vibe is fun, cluttered and colorful. Trevor, our server was A+!! He helped us with our decisions as this was our first visit. The menu is small... well, the literal menu is LARGE, a chalk board that each server carries to their table, but the selection is limited, which was fine by us! My husband had the Mahi Mahi and I had shrimp and crawfish pasta! Both were great. Trevor offered us additional sauce if desired and I took him up on it. For dessert, we split the bread pudding which was amazing. One thing to be aware of, there is no real parking in the immediate area. They have a trolly, but I'm not sure where the designated spot is if there is one. We drove around a while and lucked out finding a spot on a side street but they are few and far between. Maybe figure that out ahead of time if you haven't been before, but don't let it keep you away- it's well worth the effort. read more

Another fan favorite in Grayton beach. Red bar at night is a completely different experience than in the daytime. Went for a quick lunch one day and had the fish and chips. Perfect amount of crisp and the tater sauce was great. For dinner, I recommend starting off with an espresso martini to energize yourself. Live music, beach crowd and fantastic decor. I had the blackened grouper which came on top of a grit cake seasoned perfectly and some sautéed spinach. Their house salad was fresh with a home made tomato basil dressing. For 30 years, I have had many fish sandwiches here and they are always great. They are awesome and have added on several pounds to this 6'5" body. The fries are just as addicting! Almost as good as the double fried Dutch fries that people line up for hours to consume! Nothing on the chalk board is not excellent and service is always five star. What I cannot understand is why the 1.5 hour break between lunch menu and dinner. Ollie is the best business man on 30A but I just cannot understand why they cannot solve that long break between services. I think the fish sandwiches should be served from morning till closing. Come on Ollie, figure out a way to serve fish sandwiches even if from the bar. read more

Had a fantastic meal here after a long day, it's very kitschy and friendly here. We came in around 9pm on a Tuesday and the tables were pretty packed, we put our names down and waited, got a drink at the bar, and then were seated after around 20min. There were few food items available on a handwritten menu, the menu is a little bit limited but each thing we got was delicious and was a huge portion. We got the gumbo to share as an appetizer (small size was perfect), my friend got the manicotti with shrimp and i got the shrimp and crawfish pasta. We finished with a slice of key lime pie (do not pass this up - this was honestly one of my favorite slices of pie ever). Visiting Grayton Beach for the first and after touring the beach and shops on a beautiful day, checked in at the Red Bar for some outdoor eating and drinking. For those lucky enough to find a parking space this is an excellent place to try something new from their daily specials or order up the standard delicious Burgers and sandwiches! We came to the Red Bar to cool off from a few hours at the beach while brief rain showers were moving in. My husband and I decided to sit in the bar area since it was a bit crowded already in the restaurant. Ambiance: Very eclectic vibe and decor that made it feel like an upscale dive bar. It is family friendly, full of locals, and would be great for groups or couples! Service: We were immediately greeted by the hostess and sat promptly. Patrick was our bartender and a highlight of our experience. He makes great drinks, great recommendations, and provides great service!! Food: HANDS DOWN the best tuna dip in all of 30a! If you are a tuna dip kinda person, this one if for you!! We also had the gumbo. I would also put it up there at the top of my list. It is hardy and full of seafood with a delicious thick base!! I literally licked the bowl! My verdict is that this is definitely a destination that you should add to your list while visiting. Parking is limited, it is always busy, plan accordingly! There is also a tram that runs by the restaurant that is a good option is you are staying in neighboring beaches. read more

The ambiance is amazing, they have great staff and always do their absolute best to accommodate everyone that walks through the door! The live music really makes the experience and they have great cocktails, especially their martinis! In the last 10 years Grayton has gained a lot of traction and I think they do their absolute best to accommodate the volume of people that come through! If you drive be prepared to take the shuttle! It's great! If wait times are long pop over and get a cocktail at Chiringo and order some Campesino rum! It's a local brand and some of the best rum I've ever had! We have been going to Red Bar since the mid nineties but it's been 9 years since we've eaten there so we were excited to see if it was as good as we remembered - and it was. Got there on a Friday afternoon when they opened so no wait. Started off with the tuna dip and it was fabulous. 3 of us had the crab cakes which were as good as we remembered. It seems like they are smaller than they were years ago but it was more than enough food. My son had the blackened grouper which he and I shared (along with my crab cakes) and it was outstanding - probably one of the best grouper I've had. Had 2 Stella Artois, onion rings, and buffalo wings. All super good and the ranch is excellent. We sat at the bar and service was fast and the bartenders were attentive. Love this place for so many reasons. Came here for many years before the OG burned downed. They did a great job making the new look old. I usually order the fish sandwich but wanted the gumbo instead. The roux was made to perfection. The shrimp and andouille were lacking. My wife had the grouper "fish and chips". Nice large pieces. Man 'o man. Uber driver recommended this spot, said the locals love it. I waived it off but ended up stopping here last night of our trip. Through all the stupid tourist BS in Grayton, this is authentic. The driver said it burnt down some years ago, and they rebuilt it the same exact way that it was in the '90s. Good food with huge portions. Save room for dessert! Our party got a few and shared them, and they were really great. That had a veggie option and a seafood safe option for those with dietary preferences or allergies. If I went again, I'd split a meal with someone. The service was great and fairly fast. The Red bar has always been excellent and I remember the Seafood stuffed eggplant as something. I looked forward to eating every time I travelled to Florida, but since I got diagnosed with celiac, I haven't been able to eat it. I contacted the manager and he not only had the chef cook me a seafood eggplant without breadcrumbs, but gave us a reservation as well. Had the manicotti bc the I wanted the grouper but it came with a "bed of spinach" which didn't sound appealing to me and I didn't want to be wasteful. Service was excellent I have zero complaints. Ambiance Loud is an understatement. Hearing damage over 90 dB over 30 mins is commonly accepted standard I recorded (granted on my phone) was peaking at 96dB. Super crowded and other than it just being "hyped" I don't know why it was busy. I can be 100% off base here about this place but I didn't enjoy my time there.
