My favorite place to go have breakfast after hiking Eaton Canyon. I love that hike but I'm always craving food afterwards so I always head here. I love this place so much because the service is amazing and the staff is always friendly. This time around I used the yelp waitlist and my table was ready before I even arrived. It's so much convenient. The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food. I order the #2 which includes two pancakes , 2 eggs , and two bacon strips. In addition I ordered hash browns. They don't have ice coffee but the staff is always so accommodating to me and brought me a hot coffee with a side cup of ice so I could pour it. They offered to pour it for me but I said it was okay. I love this place so much. They have a small parking lot in the rear that can get full really quickly. read more

This is small diner vibe with great food. They do have a wait time since it's a small space, but the wait is not too long. I would not recommend for large parties though. I got the Reyn rancheros; which was country styled potatoes with sunny side up eggs topped with hash browns and pico de gallo with sour cream and avocados! I just had a baby and I would usually fix a full breakfast of whatever my son wants for his birthday. This year I couldn't do that. Whomp whomp! My son requested pancakes and so we ordered from The Reyn and my husband picked up the food. My husband and I got omelette and sides ( they have grits and Turkey sausage - a BIG plus for us ) and we ordered pancakes and eggs for my boys. Overall, we had a decent breakfast. Yum, yum, YUM!!! We were in the mood for a classic breakfast option that we could eat at the establishment. We found the Reyn and decided to give it a try. Boy oh boy, did we hit the jackpot! We were seated right away, friendly and quick service, and our food came out hot and in a timely manner. The hash browns are perfectly cooked and have a great consistency. The pancakes were perfectly dense, while still being light and fluffy enough to soak up your syrup. Sausage and bacon were good quality and bacon was crisp, but not burnt. Eggs were cooked perfectly for the way we ordered them (over easy for bf, scrambled medium for me). Our waitress was attentive, but not overbearing. I had an early afternoon shift and I needed a good breakfast before working, so I made a search on my Yelp app and asked my friend, Mary, if she'd been there before...no... so, we decided to go! First - there's a FREE parking lot - yay! Second - it's a popular, cozy, old-fashioned type of place with good food! My experience is based on service alone. We initially had a party of five, but one member of our party was delayed due to traffic. So 4/5 of us decided to sit as her arrival time had been significantly delayed. We decided to place a "to go" for the fifth person. We asked if, upon her arrival, she could wait with us until the order was ready, but the owner declined our request. We were told that since we were already seated as a party of four, she could not sit with us once she arrived, not even to wait briefly for a "to go" order. The owner explained that she would have to sign in on the list and wait to be called before she could enter the restaurant. In my opinion, the owner's behavior was extremely rude and harsh. We were fully aware of the restaurant's policy, and I totally understand the need to manage the movement of guests to keep the restaurant running smoothly, but "bullying" tactics towards customers are not helpful, and his "gatekeeper" mentality was uncalled for. Not only did he deny our request to allow her to wait with us until her order was ready, but he intentionally proceeded to the waiting list area so that he could personally deny her entry into the restaurant. The food is decent, but the owner's aggressive behaviors make the experience unpleasant and not worth the visit. read more

It is definitely an old school diner like feel with counter service, pots of coffee steaming at the front, and, my favorite, an eclectic collection of mugs!! I ordered the chocolate chip pancake combo which comes with three fluffy LARGE pancakes, 2 eggs, and either sausage, bacon, or a turkey sausage patty. Service was fast but they had so many people that they forgot parts of our order. The pancakes were good but I wish it had more chocolate chips in it. Also, the pancakes were slightly cold when I got them and the outside was tough to cut through. The eggs and sausage were fine though! I would HIGHLY suggest getting a side of banana bread if you do stop by! Perfectly moist with a crispy crust :). Not a bad place. First, it's catered really to the locals. I'm sure there are some things that are IG-worthy like the food (I'll get to that in a minute), but it's not something visitors will go out of their way for. Seeing how crowded the restaurant​ was, I opted to sit at the counter. I was immediately given a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. I just ordered an orange juice and a coffee. Both came very quickly. The orange juice was huge and I believe it was the standard serving. So, let's get to the food. I ordered the strawberry french toast combo that came with bacon and eggs. The strawberry french toast...maybe I had better expectations of it. It wasn't bad, because I devoured it. However, it wasn't something I would order again. The strawberry compote just wasn't good and I believe it contributed to my headache. The eggs were a bit underwhelming but the bacon was delicious. Plus, my food was served very quickly and I had several people ask me if I need anything. So I never had just one server, it was pretty much whoever was available at the moment. I think that's dope. Overall, I do recommend it. For my food and including a 20% tip, it came out to $20 and for nowadays, that's very reasonable. I might have to try other things first to get a feel for the restaurant. I love finding little breakfast cafes like these. The food is good, the service is great, and the prices are even better! We came in on Sunday morning around 11:30. Of course that's a peak hour, but for a party of two we probably waited 30 mins. Everyone was hustling to clean tables, serve food, and although our server didn't stop and talk too long to us, he was still friendly. We sat at a table outside and it was super cool. We ordered the egg scramble and the pancake combo. The banana bread was delicious, and just what I needed to start my day. Love coming here when we are in the area! There is a reason this place is packed! The servers are personable and aren't afraid to joke with us. They also get anything you need out in record time! One of my favorite dishes is their strawberry crepes. They have this wonderful creme filling and strawberry sauce. Its sweet and decadent, you will be dancing in your seat, its just that tasty. We also like getting the cactus scramble! A savory egg paired with the acidic kick from the cactus. I personally ask for their salsa. They make it in house, and its served warm. I can eat that alone! As I mentioned before, this place gets PACKED. You are likely to weave around for a parking spot some days. Inside, do not be surprised if the trek to and from the bathroom is longer than you intended. Servers and bussers are running about, trying ro keep up with the madness and walkways are narrow. After reading about their corned beef hash, I made a pact with a bud of mine to check it out since we both stan corned beef hash and WOW it was some of the best I've had. After parking in their back lot, our party of four was seated very quickly in the outside area and we both had our meals within 15 minutes of ordering. I got corned beef hash, over-easy eggs, and grits. The corned beef has had that nice crisp layer on it which is surprisingly hard to find and the grits were nice and creamy. If there was one bad thing, it was my biscuit which was dry. Besides the corned beef hash, the homestyle potatoes with onions and banana bread were other hits at the table. Everyone in our party was elated with their meal and best of all it was relatively cheap! Good comfort food for inexpensive prices. What else would you want from a diner? Came in on a Saturday morning at 9:45am, and was lucky enough to snag a parking spot in the lot near the back! We were surprised to see how PACKED it was! We waited about 10 min for our name to be called and got a counter spot. One thing I did notice sitting at the counter was that the take out orders for a Saturday morning was out of this world!
