We went here for a bday dinner. Service was fine, we had a sweet waitresses. Food was average, but the oysters were good.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this Rouxpour that I didn't even know existed until I was invited by someone to dine. Only knew about the Sugar Land location. But this one served to be good as well. Food was good, always have to get the oysters. We also ordered pasta dish, bacon wrapped jalapeños and plenty drinks. Service was awesome. Ended up going around our birthdays and our waitress and one other waiter sang HBD to us. She also brought out bread pudding topped with ice cream with a candle. I'm not a fan of bread pudding so idk how it tasted.

Not really sure how this place would get under 5 stars. The food was amazing. Everything comes out hot and very flavorful. It is on par, if not better than Pappadeaux. Service by the servers, management and hosts is attentive and friendly. It's really cool to sit by oyster grill and watch the cool work!

This burger had everything.. Beef, cheese, bacon, blackened shrimp, potato cake & an onion ring, topped with creamy gouda cheese sauce, jalapeño sausage & crawfish tails and a fried egg The food came out quick and our server was fun. Enjoyed eating on the patio and watching the kids play.

Came for my friends birthday. Easy to make a reservation and be seated. They do have a dress code to be mindful of. Our server Sasha was not the most attentive, we did have to ask for her several times. However Kenny was very helpful, gave great suggestions and was very kind. Our food was IMMACULATE! Everything that was suggested was a great portion, well seasoned, and great temperature. I personally had the oysters and the lamb chops and easily some of the best in Houston!! The ambiance was pretty quiet and nice. Based off the food alone I will be back, but mindful of the service.

We had a great experience at Rouxpour on Friday! We were seated right away since it wasn't crowded. Happy hour offered fantastic deals on appetizers and drinks, so we started with those. I had deviled eggs with double protein, while my partner enjoyed bacon-wrapped jalapeño peppers with boudin. Both were delicious, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. For our entrées, my partner had pasta, and I had blackened chicken. These were also cooked perfectly and had generous portions. The drinks were excellent too! Rubin, the night manager, was a wonderful host and encouraged my fiancé to try the grilled oysters, which he surprisingly enjoyed, despite being a picky eater! We will definitely return; the food, service, and ambiance at this place are fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone looking to unwind for the weekend, enjoy a casual outing, or have a special date night!

We visited RouxPour on a Monday night, so it was a bit empty but still lively. Our server was attentive and knowledgable. We were Celebrating my mom's birthday. We enjoyed great appetizers like crab cakes, fondue and deviled eggs. Half of the group tried the Zydeco Chicken, the rest of us had the Etouffe and Flounder. The portions were generous and tasty. But we saved room for dessert, so we tried the decadent chocolate cake and the creamy and delicious creme brûlée! It was a great night and we will return!

I went here for a graduation reception and enjoyed the food. There was a preselected menu and I loved everything I chose. The shrimp and corn bisque was so good! I needed another bowl. The salmon was fresh and the crawfish and lemon butter sauce was good. The mashed potatoes and green beans were seasoned well.

The Rouxpour was absolutely amazing from start to finish. First of all, the space is super cute. We had a party of six and were seated on the patio, which I was a little unsure about at first, but the breeze and the sound of the nearby fountain made it surprisingly peaceful. Plus, it was great for people-watching with folks constantly coming in and out of the busy restaurant. Our server, Eric, was really attentive and took time to walk us through the menu, pointing out a few of the fan favorites. The whole menu leans into that New Orleans influence, and it definitely delivers. I started with a hearty Caesar salad topped with fresh Parmesan, but I swapped out the dressing for their Creole vinaigrette. I don't know what's in it exactly, but it was tangy and vinegary just how I like it. For an appetizer, I had the crab and crawfish bisque. It was thick, creamy, and rich. Even on a warm summer evening, I didn't mind. My main dish was the crab-stuffed flounder, which had a super generous amount of fresh crab and came with roasted broccoli, purple potatoes, and white potatoes. Every bite was full of flavor and really filling. I wish I had saved room for dessert, but that just means I'll have to come back. The Rouxpour is officially on my list of go-to dinner spots when I want something a little special. The service, the food, and the overall vibe made it a perfect night for our celebration.

Came here for a date night, and we enjoyed ourselves. Place wasn't too dim and wasn't too bright. It was just right! Service was great along with the food. I had the Zydeco Chicken and it was full of flavor. Everything about this place was great. When you leave, there's like a little green area. I'm guessing for kids to run around. It was late and no kids...so nice place sit out in the evening and check out the sky.

Yum! What a great place for a meal with friends! Elegant with nice vibes inside. Service was really good as well as the food and cocktails. They have some items on the menu that I've never seen before like boudin stuffed chicken. Wow! I would definitely come back.

The dress code policy states, "no cleavage". Exactly how much of my decolletage do you want to be covered? Based on the aesthetic of this restaurant, I would assume a nice garment. As a naturally blessed woman in 2022, please elaborate.

My opinion - it's a "use discretion" and/or common sense type approach. It's still a family establishment, so based on that policy, I'd take away from that meaning no ta-ta's hanging out or barely there type attire...naturally blessed or not.

Do you have to make a reservation?

You don't HAVE to but I highly recommend it, especially Thursday through Saturday night. If you are going on a weekend/date-night I would say "Yes, you really should" just to be safe.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Hi Alexis! Yes, all of our patios are dog-friendly!

Is it ok for kids to come to this resturant?

    Yeah! There's tons of space!

Are the oysters sourced from the east coast or the gulf?

    The gulf!

And as many have mentioned, it is valet only. Good news is the valet is free at lunch - after 4 pm it's $8. The required valet was a real turn-off as this isn't in the Heights or downtown where space is limited. If the food was better, I wouldn't mind if it was $8 regardless of time or location. But alas... The HRW menu allowed a nice selection of two items for dinner main course plus a dessert. So we ended up with 6 different courses amongst the 3 of us. The crab and shrimp seafood gumbo had one shrimp and one crab stick. The roux seemed burnt so this got a 1/5 review. The chicken Milanese got the same 1/5. The fried shrimp po boy had 2 shrimp and got a 3/5 review. Shaved Brussel sprout salad received similar 3/5. I tried the prime rib french dip (4/5) and the barbacoa puffy taco (3.5/5) so I fared the best of the group. I get that this was a sampling because we got to choose two, but one shrimp? For dessert, the chocolate mousse seemed ok, but I got the Cracker Jack sundae (1/5) which was just vanilla ice cream with Cracker Jack popcorn thrown on it. Very unimpressed. Service was good (5/5) and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Would I return? Maybe to try the brunch menu but not the standard one.

When we were finished eating, we had to walk up to the front to pay because no server ever came by. Overall, the service was very slow and disappointing. As for the food, I'd give it about a 5-6/10. EXCEPTIONAL CULINARY EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING - END…read more LUXURY, PALATE PLEASER, ELEGANCE AT ITS FINEST From the moment we arrived, this dining experience embodied sophistication, impeccable hospitality, and culinary excellence. As my husband and I celebrated the special milestone of our 20th anniversary of finding our way back to one another, every detail was thoughtfully curated to make the evening unforgettable. The experience began with the valet attendant, who greeted us with a warm smile and genuine welcome, immediately setting the tone for what would become a remarkable evening. Upon being escorted to our table, we were greeted by delicate red rose petals beautifully displayed across the tabletop, creating an ambiance that was both romantic and elegant. It was evident that this was not simply a restaurant visit, but an experience designed to make guests feel celebrated and valued. What truly elevated the evening was the exceptional level of service. Our server, Mya, was nothing short of extraordinary. Her gracious demeanor, extensive knowledge of the menu, and sincere attentiveness made us feel as though we were the only guests in the restaurant. She anticipated our needs effortlessly and guided us through the menu with confidence and enthusiasm. Her ability to provide attentive service while remaining poised and humble was impressive and worthy of recognition. We often joke that we wished we could bring her home to serve every meal. The hospitality continued with Kellen, the Bar Manager, who personally stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our experience, and Ed, who also took the time to welcome us and make us feel appreciated. Their personal touches reinforced the restaurant's commitment to excellence and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. The cuisine was equally impressive. We began with the creamy Spinach Dip, which was rich, flavorful, and the perfect introduction to the meal. Our selection of Aqua Panna water and two glasses of Moscato complemented each course beautifully. The seasonal Chickpea Soup was comforting and well-balanced, while the Lobster Bisque was velvety, luxurious, and bursting with flavor. The Signature Wedge Salad, topped with bacon, green onions, and tomatoes, offered a refreshing contrast and showcased the quality of each ingredient. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Perry's Famous Pork Chop, expertly carved tableside and served on a cast-iron plate. The presentation alone was impressive, but the flavor surpassed expectations. Perfectly caramelized, tender, and exceptionally moist, it was a masterclass in preparation and execution. The Cedar Plank Fired Redfish was equally memorable, delivering delicate texture and subtle smoky flavor that showcased the freshness of the fish. We concluded our meal with a Lemon Bar that was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to an extraordinary dining experience. This establishment delivers far more than exceptional food. It offers an atmosphere of refinement, heartfelt hospitality, and attention to detail that transforms an evening into a cherished memory. The elegant surroundings, impeccable service, and outstanding cuisine combined to create a celebration worthy of our special occasion. For anyone seeking an elevated dining experience, whether for an anniversary, milestone celebration, or simply an unforgettable evening out, this restaurant exemplifies luxury, sophistication, and excellence in every sense of the word.

Not lessened, but different. Everyone knows and loves the Friday pork chop. Good portion, good flavor and great value. However, WHY is it important to stuff all condiment containers, sides containers, foil-wrapped bread AND the pork chop into one larger container? That way, all the oils, dirt and dust (from the individual containers) are all now mingled with the cooked meat and everything has a generous coating of oils and meat juice, inside the larger container. And as an added bonus, you may need gloves to take it all out of the package in order to eat it. Mind you, the cooked meat is hot and...guess what? The semi-solid whipped butter for the bread is now butter soup. Who is approving this packaging? Why don't you get a small container for just the meat and "brown paper bag" all the rest of the sides and condiments? It's baffling that someone thinks this is acceptable. The message is clear - Don't order takeout and always sit in the restaurant because your experience will be highly degraded from the regular dine-in experience. Do better.
