We went here for a bday dinner. Service was fine, we had a sweet waitresses. Food was average, but the oysters were good.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this Rouxpour that I didn't even know existed until I was invited by someone to dine. Only knew about the Sugar Land location. But this one served to be good as well. Food was good, always have to get the oysters. We also ordered pasta dish, bacon wrapped jalapeños and plenty drinks. Service was awesome. Ended up going around our birthdays and our waitress and one other waiter sang HBD to us. She also brought out bread pudding topped with ice cream with a candle. I'm not a fan of bread pudding so idk how it tasted.

Not really sure how this place would get under 5 stars. The food was amazing. Everything comes out hot and very flavorful. It is on par, if not better than Pappadeaux. Service by the servers, management and hosts is attentive and friendly. It's really cool to sit by oyster grill and watch the cool work!

This burger had everything.. Beef, cheese, bacon, blackened shrimp, potato cake & an onion ring, topped with creamy gouda cheese sauce, jalapeño sausage & crawfish tails and a fried egg The food came out quick and our server was fun. Enjoyed eating on the patio and watching the kids play.

Came for my friends birthday. Easy to make a reservation and be seated. They do have a dress code to be mindful of. Our server Sasha was not the most attentive, we did have to ask for her several times. However Kenny was very helpful, gave great suggestions and was very kind. Our food was IMMACULATE! Everything that was suggested was a great portion, well seasoned, and great temperature. I personally had the oysters and the lamb chops and easily some of the best in Houston!! The ambiance was pretty quiet and nice. Based off the food alone I will be back, but mindful of the service.

We had a great experience at Rouxpour on Friday! We were seated right away since it wasn't crowded. Happy hour offered fantastic deals on appetizers and drinks, so we started with those. I had deviled eggs with double protein, while my partner enjoyed bacon-wrapped jalapeño peppers with boudin. Both were delicious, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. For our entrées, my partner had pasta, and I had blackened chicken. These were also cooked perfectly and had generous portions. The drinks were excellent too! Rubin, the night manager, was a wonderful host and encouraged my fiancé to try the grilled oysters, which he surprisingly enjoyed, despite being a picky eater! We will definitely return; the food, service, and ambiance at this place are fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone looking to unwind for the weekend, enjoy a casual outing, or have a special date night!

We visited RouxPour on a Monday night, so it was a bit empty but still lively. Our server was attentive and knowledgable. We were Celebrating my mom's birthday. We enjoyed great appetizers like crab cakes, fondue and deviled eggs. Half of the group tried the Zydeco Chicken, the rest of us had the Etouffe and Flounder. The portions were generous and tasty. But we saved room for dessert, so we tried the decadent chocolate cake and the creamy and delicious creme brûlée! It was a great night and we will return!

I went here for a graduation reception and enjoyed the food. There was a preselected menu and I loved everything I chose. The shrimp and corn bisque was so good! I needed another bowl. The salmon was fresh and the crawfish and lemon butter sauce was good. The mashed potatoes and green beans were seasoned well.

My wife and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner with a French 75 and a Moscow Mule. The food was delicious.

The Rouxpour was absolutely amazing from start to finish. First of all, the space is super cute. We had a party of six and were seated on the patio, which I was a little unsure about at first, but the breeze and the sound of the nearby fountain made it surprisingly peaceful. Plus, it was great for people-watching with folks constantly coming in and out of the busy restaurant. Our server, Eric, was really attentive and took time to walk us through the menu, pointing out a few of the fan favorites. The whole menu leans into that New Orleans influence, and it definitely delivers. I started with a hearty Caesar salad topped with fresh Parmesan, but I swapped out the dressing for their Creole vinaigrette. I don't know what's in it exactly, but it was tangy and vinegary just how I like it. For an appetizer, I had the crab and crawfish bisque. It was thick, creamy, and rich. Even on a warm summer evening, I didn't mind. My main dish was the crab-stuffed flounder, which had a super generous amount of fresh crab and came with roasted broccoli, purple potatoes, and white potatoes. Every bite was full of flavor and really filling. I wish I had saved room for dessert, but that just means I'll have to come back. The Rouxpour is officially on my list of go-to dinner spots when I want something a little special. The service, the food, and the overall vibe made it a perfect night for our celebration.

Came here for a date night, and we enjoyed ourselves. Place wasn't too dim and wasn't too bright. It was just right! Service was great along with the food. I had the Zydeco Chicken and it was full of flavor. Everything about this place was great. When you leave, there's like a little green area. I'm guessing for kids to run around. It was late and no kids...so nice place sit out in the evening and check out the sky.

Yum! What a great place for a meal with friends! Elegant with nice vibes inside. Service was really good as well as the food and cocktails. They have some items on the menu that I've never seen before like boudin stuffed chicken. Wow! I would definitely come back.

Who gets the 20% Covid recovery fee?

The staff. Most of it goes to your server and then They tip out to the rest of the staff (busboys, bar backs, bartenders, food runners, etc)

The dress code policy states, "no cleavage". Exactly how much of my decolletage do you want to be covered? Based on the aesthetic of this restaurant, I would assume a nice garment. As a naturally blessed woman in 2022, please elaborate.

My opinion - it's a "use discretion" and/or common sense type approach. It's still a family establishment, so based on that policy, I'd take away from that meaning no ta-ta's hanging out or barely there type attire...naturally blessed or not.

Do you have to make a reservation?

You don't HAVE to but I highly recommend it, especially Thursday through Saturday night. If you are going on a weekend/date-night I would say "Yes, you really should" just to be safe.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Hi Alexis! Yes, all of our patios are dog-friendly!

Is it ok for kids to come to this resturant?

    Yeah! There's tons of space!

Are the oysters sourced from the east coast or the gulf?

    The gulf!

A poboy is near and dear to me, the poor man's sandwich that continues to comfort and satisfy, time and time again. Shrimp is my favorite and this one gave me some major NOLA nostalgia. The bread was crispy on the outside, with a soft inside, it was stuffed with fried shrimp, and came fully dressed (IYKYK, don't skip on the pickles.) I will say that their fries were not my favorite, more of a shoestring style, while I prefer a thicker fry but came with a generous portion. During 713 Day they had a special for this sandwich for $7.13. While I only came for the sandwich, I did see that they have a number of other specials such as $5 frozen cocktails for the whole month of July, and happy hour Monday - Friday 3-6pm. Finally, it's worth mentioning that the service was top notch. Time to Appetizers: 20 Minutes Time to Crawfish: 25 Minutes It's a solid branch from the main location in Bellaire, but they're missing some things. For example, the Bellaire location has the new Viet-Cajun flavor of sauce that hasn't debuted here yet (though you can DIY a mix). (Review is for July 2026 if they've updated since then) We got here at 6:05PM and got seated with no issues. Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Overall, I'll probably be back during crawfish season especially because it's more convenient for me than the Bellaire location, but the Bellaire location has it beat for general atmosphere after the remodeling and much better options for mixes there.
