Really cool flavors and super creamy ice cream. I've been to one of the locations in Tucson so knew what to expect. We tried a couple flavors and they were all good, although I particularly liked the Lemonilla (lemon and nilla wafers) as it provided a nice fruity contrast to the sweetness of a typical ice cream. Texture is great, smooth and creamy, and the portion is pretty large for a single scoop. You can split flavors here, which is helpful if you're indecisive (and you will be, with all the good flavors). Location is in the new Overstreet complex in downtown Chandler which should get a lot of traffic. They're one of the first to open up, so it was a little quiet in there when we visited, but there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for when they start getting busy. Some of the staff was still being trained but everybody was friendly and helpful. Great new addition to the area since there are only a few other dessert spots in the area. They're open fairly late as well, so it should be easy to grab a scoop or two no matter what time you're eating dinner. read more

We just moved to the area from out of state and are huge ice cream fans. When we walked past The Screamery (and creeped the menu online), we knew we had to try it! They were reopening the next day, so that's when we went. The menu itself is huge (both in size and number of flavors) but very easy to read, with components of each flavor written out, making it slightly easier to make a decision. We both got single scoops - I got the triple play (chocolate on chocolate on chocolate!) and my husband got funky monkey. They both tasted awesome, and you get a pretty good sized portion. We had a super hard time deciding what to try, so we know we'll be back for more!! read more

on a Friday night the woman worker had an rude attitude. Then the ice cream - overpriced for small portions that just wasn't that great. The $7 milkshake was watery, tasted nothing but chocolate syrup and was awful. Terrible terrible service!! And the manager is very rude and has no customer service skills at all. The quality of the ice cream is definitely not worth the price. Very bland tasting. I ordered a double scoop at $7.75 and a waffle cone is another $1.75 so for $9.50 I was extremely disappointed with the service and the quality . The restroom was very disgusting and looked like they haven't been cleaned properly in awhile. No paper products at all , toilet was disgusting , floor was dirty . I mentioned it to the manager but she didn't seem to really care. . There is a lot of choices for ice cream and shakes out there so I definitely will not be back ever. read more

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream - especially when the ice cream is from The Screamery! We were walking around downtown Chandler in the evening and decided to stop by The Screamery for some dessert. Due to COVID there were no samples :( but I was still so intrigued by all the fun flavors available. The staff was so helpful and patient when I had a few questions about their flavors and I ended up getting their Sweet Cream Honeycomb, their award winning ice cream flavor. Their sticky, almost caramelized honey balanced out the sweet cream base wonderfully and I appreciated the bits of crunch from the honeycomb. It was such a treat! Would definitely be coming back to try out more flavors. read more

Flavorless. The blueberry cheesecake tastes like vanilla ice cream with blueberries in it. Restaurant smelled like a musty sewage when I walked in. Customer service from Jess was served up with irrigation possibly frustrated the plumbing problem she mentioned when I asked why it smelled. The flavor sorbet tasted medicine that makes you gag. Buyer beware, Jess won't return your ice cream unless there is something wrong with it beside the taste. She said it needs a hair in it for you to get another ( not better ) flavor. The ice cream itself was so creamy which is exactly how I prefer it. The consistency reminded me of Blue Bell brand ice cream, but with much more unique flavors. The honey comb was unexpectedly good. The vegan fudgesicle was quite tasty as well. The friendly employee was very enthusiastic about the product and went to great lengths to explain the production process and each flavor. They annoyingly only had one employee working, so it was a bit of a wait. My entire family love Downtown Chandler. Everything about it.. however the addition of The Screamery has consistently been a major letdown. When it opened in 2019 we were pretty excited. We usually go to Paletas Betty and used to frequent Ice Cream Sammies before it's demise. But.. after a dozen super confusing, just about awful experiences since The Screamery has opened I have to say .. no more. I've never once in the 13 + times we've gone in have had a good experience. Keep in mind, you can get ice cream nowadays from self serve shops.. with no Ahole kid that obviously doesn't want to be there making you feel like you're interrupting they're nothingness. Not just one, all of them. Can everyone, start over.. actually give a sh*t about customer service cause your Ice cream is just barely at par .. and it alone won't help you. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR... walk down around the corner and get Paletas Betty!! On March 21,2023 at approximately 8:40pm was the worst customer service ever. The two female employees were to busy talking with two boys sitting in the counter and could have cared less about what paying customers standing in line wanted to order. One customer requested to order the "farmhouse" and one girl literally yelled out "Nooooo!" too the other girl. The customer was told that they couldn't make that because they were going to close in 20 minutes and It takes a to long to prep...sorry. Then they went back to chatting using their cellphones while customers waited to order. Another boy walked in the store they began chatting loudly and ignored the customers in line. Even when one customers was paying they didn't acknowledge them but turned and kept talking to the boys sitting at the counter. While the customer stood there with her credit card ready to pay. When she decided to take the payment she still didn't look once at the customer, simply gave her card back and said do you want a receipt. No thank you come again. Nothing she walks off to the boys chatting looking at her clipboard, while other customers still waited in line. As if there was no one in the store but the two boys. They continued to text and talk while waiting customers were ignored. Other customers came in and the one girl made it a point to tell them they close in 3 minutes, then she turned away and crafted chatting up. Not May I take your order any questions. Just the we close in three minutes. They should change their " we are hiring sign in the door from must enjoy ice cream and work in a fun place", to include some other qualifications. The saving grace for the one star is the ice cream is good. But don't expect even good customer service. So if you don't mind that stop on by the screamery to enjoy small batch ice cream. Make sure you get there well before closing or they may not serve you want because it takes to much time and effort to make. read more

In town from Los Angeles on Sunday (08/08) and came across this cute little place in downtown Chandler. We were pretty excited to try the ice cream. Unfortunately, we had a pretty awful experience. Walked in and the young girl who was behind the counter was extremely rude. She was talking under her breath, did not greet us and was visibly annoyed at us being there. Please keep in mind it was barely 9 pm and the posted hours said they closed at 10 pm. It was truly uncomfortable when a group of first responders came in after us and this girl not only greeted them but gave them a overview of the flavors and engaged with them while continuing to be extremely rude to us. On top of the dirty looks from her, we were upset to see not one employee wearing gloves while making our milkshakes. In this era of Covid, and also just common sense for food service workers, it was disappointing to see zero precautions being taken. Moving forward we as customers hope this behavioral problem is handled so that future customers don't have to experience the uncomfortable interaction we had.
