Employee was kind and the home made ice cream is delicious and better than processed store bought

Came in last night about 5 minutes before close. Guy at the counter was super friendly and informative. The ice cream options are wonderful. Much different from the norm. My husband did their chocolate & peanut butter and I had their birthday cake & cinnamon. Each scooped into a fresh waffle cone. They offer cups from small to large also. Their ice cream is made fresh daily! The texture is perfection! Light creamy and luscious. It actually comes from a local dairy farm, just can't get any better than that. It was great. Note-You can take home pre-scooped pints and quarts. Additionally, they sell fresh made butter, cheese and marscapone, ALL from their dairy farm as well! There's a few food trucks, serving far more than ice cream that pop up at many local events from this crew too! Check their website for details. I had quite a few of their flavors and they didn't taste too drastically different than other ice cream brand that I have tried. The vanilla and the chocolate tasted like what you would expect. The cookies and cream was also typical as well. The mint flavor might be surprising for some. I liked how the mint tasted light a natural flavor rather than the mint extract that you typically find. Also, it oddly tasted a little more like spearmint to me rather than straight mint. I have a mint plant in my backyard. The strawberry had a light strawberry flavor. If I had to choose a favorite flavor, I might not be able to. On first pass the birthday cake was quite delicious, but I would advise to not eat the sprinkles. When I ate the sprinkles, it left a powder taste in my mouth, but otherwise it was good. Someone mentioned the ice cream truck and for sure the ice cream will be a bit melty due to the summer heat. You have to eat it fast if you get a cone and if it is one of the popular flavors. Not sure what happened with the vanilla, but it has ice crystals on top. I got the strawberry and it was okay. I didn't find chunks of real strawberry in it but it was probably blended finely into the ice cream which I prefer. I also had the birthday cake flavor and I think I liked that better. The ice cream itself had a good flavor I think. I didn't like the sprinkles in the birthday cake ice cream though they tasted pasty to be. However that is how sprinkles usually taste like. My friend likes sprinkles though and would probably like this ice cream. I don't know why since sprinkles never have any flavor for me in anything including donuts and cookie dough. The ice cream melted really fast the day I got it. Most of the time my ice cream no matter where I get it from melts really fast. We walked in and the smell of waffle cones over came us, udderly delightful! We were served samples and given suggestions by the sweetest little teen ice cream scooper there could be. We were blown away by all of the original flavors there were to choose from like AZ Sunset, fruity pebbles and fried ice cream! The cakes in the freezer were works of art and I was happy to learn that they make custom cakes too. There was homemade butter and cheese and fresh milk to purchase. I love this place. I would've given this place 4 stars, but I dropped it to 3 stars. The ice cream was okay. We haven't been here in over 2 yrs and I recall the ice cream tasting better back then. For 4 people, 3 scoops each, our bill was over $42. These were not big scoops, either. I don't recall ever being shocked by the bill as I was this evening. There were quite a few people in the place, but only one person there to man the store. She was fine. Not friendly or anything. She did her job. But after having been in Sedona getting ice cream there, the scoops were just as small and were $4.25/scoop, so that's more expensive than Udder Delights. Guess I'm used to the Baskin Robbins or Thrifty Ice Cream, so it's not really fair for me to compare. The flavors didn't stand out as I thought they would. We've been to 3 different gourmet type ice cream places in the past 3 weeks and I'd have to say Udder Delights was not as tasty as I remembered. Does Udder Delights need another 5 star review? Probably not, do they deserve it? Yes they do! This review is for their food truck but I plan to visit their storefront soon. I was at the chandler feastival and because it was so hot, ice cream or a milkshake sounded perfect! Right then I saw a woman writing "Try our new Unicorn shake" it was a sign, no really it was because that was what she was writing on. I jumped straight into line and endured a sunburn because I had to have it. There wasn't a picture on the sign but I figured, it has to be pretty magical right? IT WAS! I got to the front, put in my order and they let me know it was $12 first. I appreciated the transparency and decided, it is probably good for the price. She worked quickly making it, adding every little last detail. When she called my name, everyone in line was oo'ing and ahh'ing at my shake. I think this shake sold 3 more after that. The shake. The rim was adorned with frosting, covered in sprinkles. The shake itself was delicious and satisfying. The whipped cream was adorned with sprinkles, a cone horn, marshmallow ears with pink sprinkles and of course a majestic cotton candy mane! Even my husband drank half of it because he said it was that good! As I walked around, I got constant questions about where I found this magical shake. Overall, it was worth every penny and now I keep thinking about all the other things I have to try but haven't yet. Came here on a Monday afternoon for milkshakes with another Yelpie. It happens they were having a Buy 1 get 1 free deal that day! Although we knew we wanted chocolate milkshakes, we couldn't resist sampling some of the flavors in the case. I tried the matcha which was very light green, a sign there isn't much matcha in the recipe (I do not suggest ordering this flavor) and my friend had the lemon ice cream. She liked hers but we ultimately ended up with the chocolate milkshakes we were on the quest for. I was pleased the chocolate milkshakes were made with actual CHOCOLATE ice cream, so many places use a vanilla base and blend with chocolate syrup. The shakes had about 4 scoops each of ice cream and I opted for chocolate whipped cream on top. The shakes were pretty good, not blow your socks off. The chocolate whipped cream was too rich for me, not something I expected to ever say! But hey, I don't get offered chocolate whipped cream everyday so who am I to decline? Next time I will skip whipped cream altogether, the shake is rich enough. They also have pre-packed ice cream to go (in all sizes from individual to pint). I noticed they had black licorice ice cream which I thought is pretty exotic. I would definitely come back for normal scoops of ice cream as the lemon and mango flavors looked intriguing. read more

This review is for the food truck. It was in our neighborhood park so decided to give it a try. I wasn't impressed. The ice cream was super runny & had a weird soft consistency. It wasn't even very cold. Which...is something ice cream needs to be. The salted caramel tasted more like a butter pecan. I didn't like it. The girl working the truck was very nice, however I was pretty bummed that (with tip) I spent $13 on two very small scoops of ice cream. read more

Cost: $28 for two adults and two grandkids, and two were simply single scoops in dishes. Flavor: The scoops were tiny, but that was ok, because it tasted like...nothing special, with a weird consistency. We've never been so disappointed with ice cream before. Didn't even know that was a thing! Smell in the shop: Also, we four were the only patrons there, so were going to sit inside. Found this place on a whim and the ice cream was so-so and the service was not so delightful. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the texture of the ice cream and the flavors were off. It's weird, the ice cream felt too soft, kinda like the same feeling when your ice cream is just about to melt. Also it felt like the ice cream wasn't even cold. The service was also not so enjoyable. Both people that worked there didn't seem that pleasant and didn't seem like they wanted to be there. Then again, I get it, it's a job and we came on the weekend, and no one wants to work weekends. But then could have just smiled. We also asked questions about the flavors and asked what was in some of them, and the guy replied "I'm not sure cause we just got it yesterday". Kinda odd. Anyways so the ice cream flavor and temperature was so odd that I decided to get a milkshake. Taste was good, but again, it wasn't cold enough! The weather outside was colder than the ice cream. I wanted to like this place so much! It seems like they're are virtually no homemade/housemade ice cream places in Phoenix. Walking in, they had really interesting flavors like roasted garlic. Husband got a watermelon sorbet and I got an Ube one. The texture was just off on both of them, lumpy when it shouldn't have. The texture put us off and we could only have a few bites each. Udder Delights' ice creams are udder-this-world! Heehee! I've visited Udder Delights twice already in the last two weeks, trying to use up Groupons I bought three months ago. I've always wanted to visit UD since first trying a few samples at a Yelp event from ten years ago (?). Seeing Groupon prompted me to try it now, and it's a bit of a drive for me since I live in north Scottsdale, but if I schedule Massage Day right, I can squeeze in an ice cream break once every few weeks. ;) On my first visit two weeks ago, I met Jessica**, who did FOH responsibilities, such as greeting the guests when they walk in, handing out tastings with a smile while answering any questions ranging from ingredients (allergy concerns) to delicious ice cream and topping combinations (whether it's just scoops in a bowl, cone, or waffle cone, or milkshake extravaganzas, as well as manning the cash register. I also met owner/ice cream flavor creator Stephanie, who really is passionate about the ice creams she produces and sells here. Can't wait to see what new flavors she comes up with this year! All of the samples I tried were delicious! Seasonal ones you may want to check out before they leave to make room for new ones are Egg Nog and Pumpkin. I haven't tried Cinnamon, but I hear that's a year-round flavor due to the fact that a couple of restaurants feature the flavor in their menus. 1st visit: TWO-SCOOP, PLUS HOT FUDGE! I chose Coffee and Superstition Farm, and both were delicious! The latter is hazelnut ice cream with crushed hazelnuts; riich in hazelnut flavor, creamy, and I love the added crunch factor. It's been YEARS since I could have "hot fudge," since those huge cans of hot fudge are usually made with corn syrup, so I was delighted to be able to enjoy UD's home-made version. The sign said CUPCAKES $3,, I had to stop by and get me one! I ordered the Red Velvet Cupcake, that had a beautiful cream cheese frosting with a dusting of iridescent sprinkles and topped with a little pink dot! So cute yet had to be eaten! The cupcake tasted as good as looked! I hate when you buy something pretty for it only to be dry and tasteless, but that's not the case here!! I look forward to trying out other cupcakes soon!
