We visited this place during the big snow storm in February. I saw this place had good reviews and right in front of the pop museum. I didn't realize this place was a little Cafe inside the parking lot structure. So naturally it was a bit cold inside. Our food was already made and in the fridge. It just gets run in the oven to warm it up. So that was a bummer seeing that they were not freshly cooked right there. But overall, the food tasted good. Hopped in for some quick coffee to warm me up from the rain. I ordered a chai latte and felt that it was too milky with not enough chai flavor. The Mexican mocha had an odd after taste and did not give me the kick the I usually love in Mexican mochas. Good for a quick stop and go if you're in a hurry! read more

I found this place on recommendation from family, and it is everything I love about a Seattle coffeehouse! Tucked in the quiet Upper Queen Anne neighborhood, I found street parking very easily and noticed the bus transit passes near them for easy public transport. First impressions: clean, funky/modern design (A+) and spacious with plenty of tables and a lounge area. The owner, Tim, greeted me right away and was really friendly and knowledgeable. I got a cappuccino (~$3.50ish) and a no-bake chocolate cookie ($1.50). The coffee was fantastic, made just the way I like it, as well as the cookie with chocolate, marshmallows, oats and nuts. Yum! Since they had free wifi, I also stayed for a macchiato (perfectly done), Bad Mormon Bakery granola (totally addicting) and freshly-muddled orange basil lemonade. The lemonade was absolutely delicious and refreshing. Overall, they are a must visit if you want a great cup of coffee, a delicious treat or a refreshing beverage. Update: I have visited a couple more times during my visit and had the exact same great experience. Also, tried a cardamon hot chocolate that was, again, delicious! read more

Delicious high quality coffee! The boyfriend and I each had a cardamom latte and OH MY GOODNESS it was good! Not too sweet, just the right amount of spice, silky hot milk and the orange zest pulled it all together. Definitely made with care and quality ingredients. The owner was the barista and he was such a pleasure to chat with! The boyfriend loved the wall art that was being sold (Star Wars prints) and we both really enjoyed the orange cranberry muffin we shared. I stayed at a hotel in Seattle in which the Seattle Grind was the closest coffee shop within walking distance. It's super small located inside of a parking structure. However, the coffee itself is full of flavor and packed with espresso, just how I like it. I ordered the White Mocha which was topped off with a thick layer of whipped cream. Had one of the delicious lavender lattes this morning and an english muffin breakfast sandwich. Both were amazing! I was very impressed that the coffee wasn't too sweet or bitter. I recommend wearing a coat if it's chilly out since it's an exposed location but the coffee and food was so good! Plus the barista was super helpful and kind. read more

The panini style sandwich and bagels were perfectly crispy and delicious. I had an iced mocha better than Starbucks and my fiancée had a smoothie she loved. Tim the owner is one of the best representations of excellent customer service I've ever encountered. For example, one time I came in on a break from work and asked him if it was possible to get a breakfast sandwich and 2 coffees in 3 minutes. Before I even finished my question he flew over to the drip and brewed up fresh coffee, scrambling expertly for the materials to do so while recommending different coffees. He put together a great sand which in the time the coffee took to finish. He did it all without the slightest frustration, as if it was his mission in life at that moment to make sure I left happy. On my way every day to the Seattle Center, I pass by this place. Food is yummy, but it's the drinks that I LOVE. Try the cardamom orange zest latte, it's fantastic! I came back 'cause last year they were really awesome. Decent coffee for a small little shop inside the Armory section of the Seattle Center. This little shop is tucked away and hidden across from the Pop Culture museum. It's a really cute spot to sit and drink your coffee at. The building opens up so you're sitting outside yet can still be inside. I tried the London Fog and it was delicious! The prices are a little high but that's to be expected right next to Seattle Center. The thing I don't like is that it is basically inside the parking garage, but still a really nice find. read more

Went to Seattle to see the sites and the Seattle Grind happened to be in a terrific location for both sites and atmosphere. This open coffee shop is pet friendly and great even if you are just a people watcher. Their selection of coffee, food and other beverages is vast so you won't be disappointed. Cardamom Latte (the orange zest takes it over the top, it's delicious). House baked Apple Struesel (it's giant). Eggs Florentine Breakfast Sandwich (toasted & also very delicious). You have to have breakfast here. A little shop tucked away in the Gates Foundation Parking Garage, at the corner of 5th & Harrison, catty-corner from the EMP. Why didn't someone tell me sooner? Tim, the owner greeted me as soon as I appeared, hustlin' from the garage - he's passionate about coffee, supporting local, and even suggested other local coffee roasters to try out. Expected more from this place after reading the good reviews. This place is not really a cafe but more like a food court coffee shop in the corner of a parking garage . We stopped by for lunch at 2:00 on a Saturday and they were sold out of all but 1of their sandwich options (so I guess someone likes it here) and only had breakfast sandwich options. I asked to make a change on the menu item and was refused because "they are all pre-made". I ordered the egg, sausage and cheese (orange!)and managed to eat half. My son and hubby both finished theirs - but honestly they'll eat almost anything! Not sure what else is around here but there has to be a better option than eating in the corner of a parking garage. read more
