Experience: met a friend here for a quick drink on a Sunday at 2:00 pm. Facility: cute place on the water. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has some steps down to lower levels too... each one closer to the water. They had a live band that played top 40s mix that was nice. There are regular chairs and tables and high chairs at the bar. They have valet parking so don't worry about the parking lot looking small or full... pull in and they got you. Service: everyone was polite. The hostess told me it was open seating outside. The bartender served us at the bar. She was nice too but a little slow... understandably as it got busy. Food: we only ordered appetizers. We had chips and salsa and queso. The chips and queso were great and the salsa good but a little sweet to me. Then we had the seafood melted dip and it was really good with a nice big portion to share. Overall: I really want to come back and try more of the food here. Lots of yummy choices of seafood, nice regular American fare and bar food too.

Food was very good. Appetizers were great, grouper bites and spicy calamari. I feel that they jacked up the prices for Valentines Day and the valet parking experience was awful! We left about 5:45 with plenty of time to catch the sunset but the ungodly long wait to get our car made us miss the 6:25 sunset! They need to hire more help out there because every time we go it's a long wait for our car.

Waitress was awesome. Food description is not good. I ordered Lobster Mac And Cheese. It came with no breadcrumbs on top and was all cut up lobster claws. Wasn't creamy at all and it was way over priced $42. Also went there to see a band that was supposed to play from 6:30 to 10:30 and they played 2:30 to 6:30

Great food. Service mid but beautiful view. Fun Karaoke night. Things to know 1. Everything is ala cart 2. Only valet parking in lot. 3. Great rocket launch viewing 4. World's best clam chowder

A drunk and extremely unprofessional server

We came for karaoke tonight and had a fabulous dinner, good drinks and an absolute blast singing and hanging out! The bartender Kristy took very good care of us, and we had a blast hanging out with the other patrons. Unfortunately, one of the servers (Taylor?) was completely unprofessional and made quite a scene all night. She was harassing customers, got on the microphone at the end of the night and told everyone to get the fuck out, was visibly drunk, belligerent and all around unprofessional. I've been in the service industry for over 20 years and the way she held herself was not okay. She wasn't even our server but managed to really take away from our experience. Not cool! Besides her we had a fabulous night. Get more professional servers!

THE DISTRACTING VIEW TO WHAT IS REALLY GOING AT THE SHACK.

Don't let the view fool you, like the waitress Mary fooled me, we gave her a $10.00 CASH tip, and she took it a upon herself to give herself another $16.00 out of our debit card. Actually, she ripped us off. My advice to every patron that goes to this SHACK, check your receipt's and your bank accounts to see if you've been ripped off by Mary the BIG TIPPER!!! The Fish and Chips was rather mush and fries, Mrs. Paul's quality and not worth the money. The View was distracting me from what is really going on in this SHACK! How do you trust someone like this handling your food? THE SHACK ON THE RIVERFRONT is full of FRIES, LIES, and little bitting FLIES, Mary's advice is to use COCO BUTTER, and the FLIES won't bite you.

I went here for a late lunch, I had the Shrimp and chips. It was very good. Then for dessert, I had the best Key Lime pie that I ever had. I guess it's made by a local and bought to the restaurant. Washed everything down with a couple of Intracoastal Lagers-perfect.

With little parking, this place was hard to get into. A dirt parking lot and the only place available was in front of someone's home... very awkward and left me feeling uncomfortable leaving my vehicle. The entrance is nice! A beautiful sign to welcome you and a charming little scenic walk down a pathway leading you to the bar. The view is the first thing you see and it's breathtaking! A stunning outdoor tiki bar with lots of patio seating facing the water that makes you really feel like you are on an island. The service was so slow it felt like we were abandoned the whole time, having to get up to ask for a menu, a drink, place an order of food and to get our check. I started with a classic dirty martini that tasted like water and had very little olive juice. I then ordered the salmon with Cajun cream "sauce", crispy fries and a side of broccoli with cheese. The fries were amazing! A delicious crunch and seasoned very well. The broccoli and cheese was good too! The fish and sauce.... Oh boy. The fish was over cooked and dry as a desert!! With a thick and gritty bowl of slop they called sauce. It not only looked unappealing but tasted horrendous. I pushed it aside and focused on my fries. And at $30, unacceptable. I try giving any place a second shot, but without the attentiveness and overall being ignored, there was no one's attention to even bring this disappoint to. This is a stunning little spot that feels like a slice of heaven for your eyes, but my tastebuds say no!

That thing was borderline a workout to lift and I respected it. The Caesar salad was crisp, creamy, and generously parmesan'd. No sad lettuce here. The main event though? That ribeye. I ordered it medium and they nailed it. Juicy, flavorful, with just the right char. The mac & cheese on the side? Comfort food bliss; creamy, cheesy, and baked just enough to get those crispy edges. Atmosphere was classic steakhouse cozy: a little dim, a little rustic, and the bar had good energy without being obnoxious. Staff were attentive, and service didn't drag.

We arrive on time for our reservation. We are greeted, if that's what you want to call it, by a tall older man. I swear he looked at us like, can you really afford to eat here? So the initial interaction was rather poor. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so maybe he just had a bad day. Yeah, apparently not. The place is very pretty and certainly airs of a higher end establishment. After Mr. Snooty took us to our table, we were greeted by, ready for this, and even more snooty lady. Think Mrs. Howell. It's kind of like going on a date with a psychiatrist, knowing that they are judging every word that's coming out of your mouth. Lol. So after getting a lay of the land from her, we ordered some drinks, which were fantastic. Then the first course came and it was fabulous. We had the escargot and the oysters Rockefeller. Yum. The Escargot was buttery and soft. The oysters were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. We tried a lobster bisque and it was so so good. The touch of sherry was perfect. As for the Caesar's salad, this was the star of the evening. It was one of the best I've had and is what a Caesar salad should taste like. I am seriously considering going back there just for that salad. For dinner my wife had a lobster tail. She reports it was excellent. The snooty lady wanted me to try some special they had, but I went for the lamb chops. Again, perfect, medium rare. Winner. Snooty lady went uber obnoxious snooty after I didn't pick her choice. I was scared for the rest of the night. Overall price to food value, negative 100 billion. Food was fantastic. $250 for the portion sizes not worth it. Then again, even if they were bigger, not worth the price. Like I said, go for the salad and pass on the rest. Make you car payment and go to a more reasonably priced place that won't treat you like you need to have a credit report or occupation that they might approve of. Oh and they had some nice live music. That was good. Too bad, the staff put a damper on the birthday dinner.

He was friendly, a great conversation maker, and quick. The ambiance was interesting. When you first walk you are hit with an authentic speakeasy vibe. It was just too loud. Why do restaurants feel live music must be blaring loud where you can't have a conversation? There's plenty of quiet dining in the back but the decor and vibe totally changes to an all white Nikki Beach experience. The pineapple Caipirinha was no Caipirinha. There was no cochasa. The other drinks were mixed perfectly. The large seafood tower was very good. The escargot was no good. It was swimming in a pesto sauce. The pesto completely over powered the snails. The calamari was average. The baked Brie was incredible. The lobsters were a good size and cooked perfectly. I don't know why I picked the porterhouse, that la on me but it was medium rare which is what I asked for. The Mac and Cheese was amazing. We were Vacationing in the cocoa beach area and travelled to Melbourne just for this place. My wife and I are foodies and we were hoping this meal would have been memorable. :-(

We were victims to their awful cooking and mishandling food. I certainly do give good ratings for good restaurants as much as 1 star ratings for dives like yours. Plus your prices are absolutely insane if I have to leave hungry especially. My steak was overcooked and took too long to get it. 6 oz? You should call that a child's menu item with a side of mac and cheese. Just 6 miles south, The Old Fish House in Grant surpasses the food here, at a fraction of the price with the same damn river view as this uppity location. Vics is another gem in Sebastian, I've been here for 45 years, I know the area better than you. This Yellow Dog "Sample size" Cafe charges a fortune to put your life at risk with ignorant kitchen staff, how can you justify staying open? The country should shut you down! The decor manipulated their decision most likely. I'll look into it, I promise. People only go to this riverfront dive because they're pretentious, not because they expect good food and a drink. I really should have read the reviews and taken the poor 1 star as a big red flag to avoid this place. My date ordered an unrecognizable goo, and she wouldn't touch it. I wonder if we suffered these poor kitchen practices noted in your failed inspection? Thawing commercially processed Reduced Oxygen Packaging (ROP) or vacuum-sealed fish in its packaging is highly dangerous. The lack of oxygen combined with improper temperatures creates a perfect environment for Clostridium botulinum to grow and produce deadly toxins. You're charging customers to end up in the ER as a dining experience here. Look for the screenshots. Edit: added more inspection results from 2024 and 2025, you get busted every single time.
