Food & Drinks are BOMB. VERY crowded on weekends. We were a party of 2 and were told an hour wait originally, but luckily a counter space opened immediately, so we were able to walk in with no wait. If you go during brunch time, I recommend expecting a 30min-1hr wait. Everything we got was great, including the dishes and the cocktails. The Cold Brew was VERY overpriced ($7) but we didn't think it was good compared to other cold brew. I went to the Shed location in Huntington, but I like this one even more. The large open windows, increased indoor space, and high ceilings just elevated our dining experience. Definitely feels less cramped and crowded than the Huntington location. I went around 12pm on a Friday for brunch, and it was packed. They don't take reservations, so prepare to wait if you have a large table. However, we only had a table for two, so we opted for bar seating since that was available (no wait!!). We quickly sat down and ordered with the bartender. I got the shegg sandwich and my mom got the avocado toast. I got the shegg sandwich before, but it was just too good that I had to get it again. I also think it's a good portion of food for the price! It's the perfect amount of savoriness from the salty bacon and eggs and sweetness from the jam. And the crunchy toast is always top tier. We finally had brunch at The Shed after hearing wonderful things. I loved it. A 40 minute wait was only 15 minutes. Our waitress, Victoria, was very sweet. Anyone that says The Shed only excels at brunch needs to try them (or try again!) for dinner! We went recently on a mild wintry Friday night and our party of four (two kids) were seated immediately. For those dining with children in tow, note that they DO have a kids menu with most options in the $10-12 range. They just don't have a printed menu or anything posted online. Our server read off the options like specials. My wife and I both got burgers, though she opted for a veggie burger l, which (very interestingly) was pea-based, a nice departure from the soy/mushroom types. We shared a side of fries and everything was outstanding! Our kiddos split a kids portion of Mac & cheese, which was not only homemade (e.g. not Kraft) but was more than generous enough to easily feed the both of them. Including a round of drinks, our check was under $80 before tax & tip, and we all had a great meal and time out. Went to The Shed Restaurant for brunch back in the summer. The lot can get busy at times since it shares it with several businesses. We were given a choice to have indoor or outside seating. Since it was a nice day we sat outside where their patio area was. They had tables with umbrellas to block the strong sun rays and the staff was nice enough to adjust the umbrella to make sure we were comfortable. I got the chicken and waffles stack and my husband opted for the buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. The chicken and waffles was cooked perfectly and it was served with a side of Mike's hot honey to drizzle on top. The waiter gave warning that the hot honey packs some heat, so if you're not one for spice it maybe best to put a little on at first to see your heat tolerance. We were also given syrup too if you prefer a sweeter topping to the dish. My husband enjoyed his pancakes which was fluffy and delicious. The side of bacon was nice and crisp. Our waiter was great throughout our meal. We will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

This spot was definitely a little far from home but we decided to take the drive and found out the hype was real. It's very simple if you are looking for a good brunch spot with delicious drinks and amazing food come check them out. The calamari was delicious very light on the breading which i appreciated. The salmon with Brussels sprouts was a chefs kiss kind of dish because it was healthy but delicious all at the same time. Had a late lunch yesterday with a friend, my first time, her 3rd or 4th. It's a very attractive place, bright and open. Our server introduced himself, and just getting normal water was having to answer like 5 questions about the kind of water we wanted, with ice, no ice a little ice, sparkling, flat, lemon, no lemon? I got the blackened cod sandwich, not too spicy, another 1/2 dozen questions, my friend got the eggs Benedict. Her home fries were burnt to a crisp (you could have broken a tooth). My fish was tasty, but my 3rd bite had a big bone. The side of cole slaw was very good. I think 3 or 4?different wait staff came over to ask us how everything was, afterawhile it felt intrusive, let the customer just eat in peace. My friend said they are very busy on the weekends, I guess not so much at 5pm on Monday. They brought my friend another order of home fries prepared better, I brought my sandwich home for my husband. I don't know if I'd go back, I should have gotten the eggs, I think they do that better than the fish. It was priced I'd say 'moderate'. All in all, we both left very disappointed. You can't eat ambiance, the food has to shine. And is this what service is like in 2025? Either they ignore you, or don't let you just sit and enjoy your meal. read more

We asked for a manager to which they offered to make a new one, however, I had already lost my appetite. The most comical part of the experience was I was given a $15 gift card which doesn't even cover the cost of the plate (16.95, not including tax) or the ice coffee I ordered. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! I went to the restaurant on a Friday at around 11:30 with one other person. It wasn't that busy and there were open tables. However, the hostess refused to seat us. We repeatedly asked why we could not be seated at the empty tables - and were told by the hostess that they were saving the tables in case a four person party came. I've never experienced being denied a table at a half empty restaurant in case another party showed up. Absolutely disgusting and will never go back there again - much better places that actually have respect for their customers. read more

This place is pretty much what you imagine a high end suburban brunch spot to look like and serve. Modern American fare with a trendy decor - it'll do really well in Plainview. The appetizers were decent - fried pickles were good but hot wings were mild at best. Cobb salad was fresh and filling, very well done. Biscuit benedict was a bit much in terms of richness and food but solid. I did enjoy their biscuits and jam however, very reminiscent of a good southern biscuit. Prices are fair and service was good. It's a very popular spot on the weekends so make sure you come early or you're prepared to wait a bit. Will be back. read more

Th Shed's food definitely lived up to the hype. Everything is fresh and homemade. The waffles, biscuits, fried pickles, fried shrimp and home fries were among the best we've had. Not only is the food spectacular, the service provided by Sarah B. was excellent. She was attentive, friendly and professional throughout our entire dining experience. The only caveat was the issue with the air conditioning. It was a very hot day and people were fanning themselves to try to keep cool. While we were only there for a short period of time, we feel terrible for all of the staff and especially the poor kitchen staff who must have been roasting in the back. 2 people in our party were visibly sweating through a portion of their meal. The shed has great ambiance, great food and service. They also have great gluten free options. My wife particularly enjoys their Cobb salad. However, one unfortunate event happened today. Today we ordered to go from the shed and really enjoyed the food as well, but the burger boxes were mislabeled and I accidentally ate a bite of the non-gluten free burger my friend ordered. I have celiac and unfortunately I quickly started bloating. This was despite emphasizing at the time of ordering that I have this sensitivity to gluten. We did inform the store and the manager Barbara was very apologetic and kindly offered to removed the burger off the bill as well as to remake the burger and even offered a gift card to be picked up next visit. It was an unfortunate mistake and we would still eat there again, but let the store know more so it doesn't happen again for us or others. Definitely still highly recommend the restaurant! read more

This is an excellent location for this popular restaurant "The Shed." The Shed has two other locations which are in West Sayville and Huntington where I have yet dined. So, what is making this American comfort food restaurant so popular? Is it their all-day everyday brunch menu, fresh ingredients, although I hope most restaurants, I visit have fresh ingredients or is their cultivating vibe? Whitewashed walls, salvaged barn wood and local art makes up the ambience of this restaurant. Outdoor comfortable seating is also available. Now I have only visited this location once to pick up food to go. So, I am guessing this restaurant is all about being there to enjoy the true dining experience. We've eaten at the Shed numerous times during the warm weather where we were able to enjoy dining al fresco in their inviting outdoor patio. Because I'm immunocompromised we've only eaten outside, and although the indoor space seems very inviting I can't comment on it. The menu at the Shed (Plainview) is somewhat limited, consisting of salads, burgers, omelette's accompanied by phenomenal home fries, and a number of seafood entree's. Although limited the menu is diverse enough to satisfy most people's desires. Some of the dishes I found outstanding were the hummus crudité, omelette's, various salads, and the highlight is the dessert consisting of a churro type waffle accompanied by 3 scoops of ice cream. lThe drinks, as well as the beer & wine selections are outstanding. My only minor complaint is the same that has become very common these days is that many of the servers appear to be new and although personable appear to be somewhat unsure of the menu. One final comment we've only gone for early dinner and we're seated immediately. I do hear that at times there can be a wait (no reservations accepted), especially on the weekends for brunch. read more

The spicy habanero syrup lived up to its name. It was soooo spicy. The French fries were fresh and crisp, I got both the Gouda and Shed sauce. Both were amazing, I ordered a side of both to take home. I washed it all down with the Shed Lemonade, which was tasty, My husband got the short rib melt, you know I had to try it and it was delicious. I am not a fan of coleslaw but their's for some reason was delicious. He also ordered eggs with cheddar cheese, bacon and pancake with the works. Fantastic! I ordered to go for my team at work this week and let me tell you the food as was the customer service. Between all of us we ordered two lobster rolls, the Cobb salad, the salmon, and the salmon. Everything was so good! We had one small issue with the order that the chips were not included in the take away bag. I called the restaurant and they went above and beyond to make it right. I actually called just to see if I misread the menu and told them it was fine but the manager insisted on making it right.
