Me and my family decided to try The Shed for brunch, and I'm happy to say this place didn't disappoint whatsoever! To start we got the "Shed fries", which came with two dipping sauces that were delicious, and the fries by themselves were well seasoned and quite tasty! For our entrees, I had the chicken and waffles topped with powdered sugar that came with a side of spicy habanero honey, and my brother had the pancakes and he added on the strawberries, banana slices, blueberries, chocolate chips topped with powdered sugar. My chicken and waffles was an excellent pair of sweet and savory, although I didn't care much for the spicy habanero honey as I'm not the biggest fan of honey. My brother commented that his pancakes had been very fluffy and tasted amazing! Our server had been very friendly to us despite the busy environment that day and had been very accommodating to the custom dishes my parents had ordered. We lined up outside for lunch on a Monday, right before they opened their doors. Within a half hour, the restaurant was filled. The staff was welcoming and place was beautifully set up for diners. The place is up beat. We ordered the fish sandwich and chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. The fish sandwich had a little kick to it and was balanced well with topped mixed salad. The chicken sandwich was crispy. Both sandwiches were generously portioned. I don't do well with hand foods so I ended up eating the sandwich as open faced. The fries were also good. Visited the shed for a nice weekday brunch. We were sat right away and our server was wonderful and attentive 5/5 for service. The decor is very cute and homey but bright. The food was not my favorite. The French fries were crispy and served with a decent sauce but needed salt, and the fries were the best thing we got. The BLT with chicken was ridiculously over priced. The bacon was burnt and hard, and the ratio of lettuce to the rest of the sandwich made it very difficult to eat. The arugula roasted tomato Benedict was not good at all. One egg was way over cooked the other way under. The Benedict is not served on bread so it's very difficult to eat. It's just loose homefries under arugula with whole tomatoes. The texture of the roasted tomatoes are really unpleasant with the egg, especially with no bread to hold together. There's also just a hunk of avocado on the side. It was very difficult to eat, texturally unpleasant and just didn't tie together well. I might have just ordered the wrong thing, but overall wasn't super impressed with the food. I LOVE THE SHED! Any location doesn't matter my experience has blown me away and left me satisfied. The grilled chicken entree was better than my grilled chicken and I pretty much loathe arugula but this salad was dressed with just enough oil and other good stuff that it didn't bother me at all. Came here after a visit to Adventureland and was so happy that Yelp recommended this place. We were seated immediately and were given the option to choose inside or outside dining. Apparently there were bees outside (as per the hostess) so we chose inside dining by the bar. The ambiance of the restaurant is super cool, the bar is beautifully designed. We sat down and ordered some fries and our entrees immediately cause we were so hungry! And a little dizzy for the roller coasters. We waited about 35 minutes for our fries to come out... the food quite honestly took FOREVER. Which sucked! But the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the short rib melt. Both were out of this world good. I've had my fair share of spicy chicken sandwiches. Babas chicken sandwich is still my favorite but this short rib melt was definitely top notch! Some servers are better than others and there is some downtime after you've gotten your food for refills or asking for your check. I've ordered the following: Shed Wings - I'm not a fan of buffalo sauce but these wings were great! I learned that they make the sauce in-house so you can't get it anywhere else! Calamari - average but not one of my favorites. Buttermilk Pancakes with the Works - not as good as I had hoped. It would be fun for kids to share since it's like everything under the kitchen sink. Glazed Salmon - good quality and I like the sweet mustard glaze! I may add salmon onto a salad or bowl in the future because I felt the vegetable accompaniment was a bit soggy. Came here for an early weekday dinner with two kids! Staff was very nice and friendly. There was no wait when we got there and we were promptly seated. But when we left, there was a line outside. This is a nice casual restaurant, perfect for an anytime meal. The food is all delicious and fresh! The waiter will come to table and tell you all the fresh menu items for the day. This place is so cute - loved the food, I'd definitely come back again if I'm in the area. We had been wanting to come to The Shed for quite some time. The wait times were discouraging and they don't take reservations. We finally made it here on a late Saturday night. This establishment has many gluten free options on their menu. One of my daughters has celiacs disease and is very sensitive to cross contamination. So no we took the chance for a double birthday celebratory dinner. Enri was our server, I really wanted to try their Bloody Mary and he said it was spicy, so I opted for the Farmers Gin and it did not disappoint! It was fresh and delicious. I had the Caesar salad with blacked sea bass-OmG scrumptious and cooked to perfection. My birthday girls had aged burgers (one on a gf bun). We also had a side of the gf fries! The sides of slaw were also tasty. No complaints from both girls! I really wanted to try their famous Bloody Mary but I heard it's really spicy and they cannot make it milder The ambience is really nice with music playing in the background. My daughter and I both ordered Eggs Benedict. Eggs over cooked dry tasteless bacon uneatable no taste home fries just outright awful! We both couldn't get past 1/4 of this dish. On a positive note, my granddaughter ordered the French toast which was ok but I did take a taste, and it was just ok at best. Not mind blown, just good for the juicy chicken parts. There were a few drier bites. The waffle didn't have much thought put into it. If it was tastier and crunchier, it definitely would have elevated the dish. The short rib sandwich was amazing. Flavors were on point. I would order that again. It's just a big scam to have a sandwich on the menu that doesn't come with a side of fries, and you have to order it as extra. So we ordered the fries, and it was, eh... Came here with a friend for dinner. We have both been to the other locations for brunch, never for dinner. We both ended up getting chicken and waffles. So kind of dinner but still brunch. It was a full Belgian waffle cut in four, and then four big pieces of chicken. It came with spicy honey. Our waitress also brought out hot (temperature) maple syrup. It was delicious! The food is delicious. We came for a weekday lunch and it was delicious. Warning though as if you didn't already expect it - this place is packed! Expect to wait and be pleasantly surprised if you don't have to. The service is good enough...you can tell they know their food is good and people will come regardless. Barely got a hello on the way in and definitely didn't get a thank you on the way out. Felt like we were treated slightly differently but hey, they didn't spit in our food (hopefully). However...I got the banana bread pudding for my daughter's birthday and have to say this is a NO GO. I don't recommend it at all - too hard overall, bland, dry and not very tasty overall. We have been to the Shed Restaurant in Huntington where we had Brunch. So to say the least the Plainview spot had a lot to live up too in terms of food. It did not dissapoint. We started off with the Fried Pickles which i forgot to take a picture of but they were very good. We got the Chicken Sandwich, Gouda and regular shed fries, short rib melt, and a couple of the bowl options they bad. Everything was very tasty and would totally order it all again when we go back. But i like to try different things every time i go. Service was on par, beer selection was a tas bit limited but they have something for everyone most likely. Highly recommend this spot. read more

Had brunch today, on their second day since opening. Sat outside on their large open patio, which was wonderful on this sunny Fall day. Staff were friendly , service was excellent and food was spot on. I had the breakfast bowl, which at first seemed like it was in a smaller bowl than anticipated, but ultimately was a good portion and delicious. Coffee was replenished on a regular basis, and I enjoy a bottle of water on the table, which was provided. Patio is larger than the outdoor seating in their Huntington location. Went in on a Wednesday afternoon, no wait for a party of 2. We also dined indoors, which was bright and airy like the outside. Our server was very attentive, and made sure we were okay which I appreciated. It's very bright and open which I also adored. Food was great. The mac and cheese had jalapeños and it was so good. The chicken sandwich was MASSIVE but my sister enjoyed it. I had the shed burger and it was juicy also. Shed fries are just fries (lol) , but they were fresh as well. Bill was surprising as I expected it to be over $100, but it was under. Overall good experience. Will be back for brunch next. read more

We went to dinner at The Shed while on Long Island on a business trip based on Yelp reviews. This place was amazing. I hade a double meat cheese burger which was over the top good. I asked for medium and it came out medium. I ordered fries to go with it and there were enough for a small army in addition to Cole slaw and a pickle. Nic ordered French Toast, home fries and bacon. She said it was the best French Toast she had ever had. The syrup was served warm. The 4 slices of bacon were crispy and the home fries were outstanding. Attention to detail seems to be a hallmark for this restaurant. The service was also very attentive and the food came out in a reasonable period of time. The Shed is definitely worth a visit. We will absolutely go back on our next trip to LI. read more

We love The Shed in Huntington so we were excited when they opened a new location in Plainview. We came a bit later on a Sunday (around 2PM) and the wait was only 20 minutes. They take your name and number on a tablet and text you when your table is ready. The hostess does not take you to your table instead the table is cleaned and has menus available by the time you arrive. The menu is small but everything they do is done well. Our waiter was great and attentive. I had the figgin' fresh which was made with fig vodka and apricot. Very good. For my meal I had the make your own omelet which while yummy was missing the tomatoes I requested. The hashbrowns were yummy and the sweet potato fries were fresh. They do not rush you out of here, which is nice. In the warmer months there is outdoor seating which will help with the wait time inside. They do not take reservations so show up, get your name on the list, and hope for the best. They are also a bit pricey but for a good lunch with excellent drinks I can't complain. read more
