This is 3.5. Service was excellent! Inside was loud so we sat on the patio. The stuffed zucchini blossoms were so incredibly bland. My husband got a pasta with mushroom sauce and turkey meatballs and that was pretty good.
Yum yum and more yum!! I'm not a huge dessert person but I love this bakery inside of Sicilian Butcher. They offer custom filled cannolis, various Italian cookies and pastries, coffee and gelato. They have the most amazing happy hour for gelato and cannolis Monday through Thursdays 1PM - 5PM. Only $2 for a scoop of their delicious gelato and $1 mini cannolis! Seriously crazy cheap prices especially considering the excellent quality. We got a scoop of the Belgian dark chocolate and a scoop of salted sea caramel gelato. The Belgian dark chocolate was honestly the best gelato I've had. It was very chocolaty and not too sweet. I wanted to try the cheesecake so asked if was light as I hate heavy regular cheesecakes. I really appreciated the server's honest answer that most people find them to be heavy and rich. So we went with their traditional cannoli. Definitely coming back for more of the Belgian dark chocolate gelato. So yummy!
Yum..... how can I get skinny with all these options around me. I can't oh well I prefer the yum! The staff is always happy to give samples of the gelato and cannoli fillings...Mmm Pistachio.....there are a couple of side tables if you want to stay and enjoy your expresso and cannoli there. Take advantage of their happy hour and surprise your loved ones with some cannolis for dessert! $1 each go for the dz which my dad loved and barely let me have 2 ha ha ha.
It has a very authentic Sicilian vibe, with traditional pastries and gelato. The interior design is charming and cozy, you can either dine in or take your treats to go. At first, I couldn't find the entrance to the bakery -- there's a large restaurant entrance, which is easy to spot, but the bakery itself isn't immediately obvious. So I walked into the restaurant first, then turned left and found the coffee shop area. I was specifically searching for a place that serves Napoleon cake, and this was pretty much the only one I could find. And I'm so glad I did -- it was absolutely delicious. Next time, I'm definitely coming back for dinner. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the restaurant looks amazing. Don't miss it!
What a yummy stop for some cannolis and other treats. Service was wonderful and we were in and out fairly quick. I loved the many options of flavors , but the banana cream was my favorite of the night. I also loved the pumpkin filled dessert I purchased,,but I can't remember its name. I typically don't like items like this, but it was delicious and looked too good to pass up.
Loved the ambiance. Lots of interesting decor on the walls. The food was delicious. Meatballs is one of their specialties. The salads were very fresh and tasty. Our server was wonderful. We were visiting Chandler and this restaurant was next door to the hotel where we were staying. Very convenient.
5/24/25: Short version - Holy mackerel, this place is a sweet-tooth's BFF. The decor is wonderful, bright & colorful for such a small spot, parking was not a problem, it was near the Chandler mall so traffic was a bit hectic but it was off the beaten path so to speak, so getting there was not a nightmare. The young lady was all smiles, helpful, and cheery. Definitely gotta visit again to try more goodies. Non-coffee drinkers beware: I did not see any drinks for us. The few I saw on the menu was all coffee. Long version - Popped in this particular Saturday morning around 11 a.m. Got worried as we pulled into the lot because there was only two other cars, we started thinking the Google hours were wrong. But no! It was open, we were the only customers. This was wonderful because we could browse to our heart's content & take pictures w/o getting in anyone else's way. Their goods aren't cheap and we spent a lot of money, and although we've only eaten a couple so far, it was money well spent. I am not a cannoli fan but we purchased a couple, going halfies with the filling. One was 1/2 cookie butter & 1/2 Reese's; the other was 1/2 lemon & 1/2 pistachio. Had the cookie butter last night & I will say it was better than the Reese's half, which for me was too sweet w/ more PB than I like. Later we nibbled on the Tony's almond cookie and the taralucci (lemon). Both were good but not sure I would spend the money again on either. This morning was 1/2 the vanilla lobster tail for breakfast, so far it's my favorite. We also purchased the lemon merengue tart (or meringe as the sign read, ha ha) and a chocolate caramel tart, yet to be tasted. Next visit we will have to try their gelato. They had a sizeable variety. All in all, if you have not tried the Sicilian Baker and sweets are your thing, you gotta hit them up.
Absolute perfection! From the cannolis to the napoleon, to the lobster tails. Every single thing I've had here has been phenomenal. I was going on and on about it to my mother (who has been to Italy several times) and finally had her try it. She took one bite of the Cassatina and was speechless. I don't think a higher praise is possible. Will most definitely be coming back!
I love cannolis and treat myself to some on my birthday every year (it's tradition for myself!). It wasn't my birthday, but I was craving cannolis and decided that I deserve some haha. I was happy to finally get to try the pistachio flavor as it's always out when I go and the flavor was very delicate. And of course, I had to get the traditional filling (a must have!) and I love that they add a maraschino cherry and candied orange peel on the ends. They're so good!

Holy Cannoli!! Found this place after browsing Yelp to find somewhere to eat after leaving the mall. Added it to my bookmarks and found a really great Sushi/Ramen place nearby. Welp, finally made it back and was I blown away!! First of all the bakery is attached to the restaurant The Sicilian Butcher (Will be going soon ) You can just walk into the restaurant, turn left and go to the bakery at any time. Now my main goal was to get my hands on a Lobster tail because I'm obsessed ever since I saw them at Carlos Bakery (Food network tv show) and even though it was in the evening they had the place looking as fresh and stocked as it would be in the morning. They have two varieties of lobster tails, Vanilla and Nutella, and let me tell you, the crunch on these things is ASMR satisfying. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing and they still had a beautiful buttery crunch after being in the fridge all night. I wish the vanilla was a bit lighter in texture with a little more flavor, but that's personal preference and probably not traditional. We also ordered the pistachio dessert (can't remember the name)it had a really nice mouth feel, with a nice chocolate layer, pistachios on top with gold flakes, really pretty. Lastly my husband ordered the traditional Cannoli, and let me tell you I have always wanted to like Cannolis, I have had so many different varieties, from all sorts of restaurants and I have never found any that I liked or would order again so I finally thought maybe I just don't like Cannolis......After taking one hesitant nibble I fell in absolute love ( and couldn't stop stealing bites on our drive!!!) This Cannoli had the most perfect beautiful filling, and the outside was golden, crunchy, and light....Perfection!!!! Don't miss this spot it's worth the stop. read more

We stopped by the bakery side while out for a date night. There were too many options to pick from but once we narrowed it down we were NOT disappointed!! The lobster tail was fantastic. We got a selection of cookies which were all amazing but the pistachio ones have my wife ready to go everyday. The delightful lady running the bakery made us coffee and even remade my wife's without questions after she accidentally spilled it all over the counter. Products can be great but excellent service is remembered. Needless to say we will definitely be frequenting this place as often as we can! read more

Wow! I may be pregnant, but I just almost had an emotional experience in here!!! Everyone is SO NICE AND they have everything I've been craving this pregnancy. Coffee, gelato, multiple types of puff pastries and did I mention, coffee? Julia was who helped us out and she is so sweet and really sent our experience over the top! She is so friendly AND she offered to let us try ALL THE FLAVORS!!!! Both gelato and cannoli filling. My husband ordered a puff pastry and she pulled a fresh pan and offered gave him one of those. It was truly such a great experience. In a month we are having our baby shower and will be bringing our guests here just to be treated nicely while eating delicious sweets. I love it here! read more

Stopped by to pick up dessert and decided on NY Cheesecake, Tiramisu & a cannoli. Nice option to be able to get the cannoli filled with more than one filling - got a pistachio cannoli filled with cookies & cream on one end & pistachio on the other. Service was good. Parking was hectic. The cannoli was the highlight, tiramisu was fantastic. The only letdown was the cheesecake. Definitely would have preferred a lemon ricotta Italian cheesecake over the typical NY Cheesecake. I had hoped the bakery would have had it like most Italian bakeries in Boston & NYC. read more

We just finished dinner at their sister property The Sicilian Butcher. Atmosphere - You can walk right over from The Sicilian Butcher. It is a coffee shop that meets bakery that meets gelato shop. Simple design, walk the line as you look at the display cases. Food - My wife spotted the lobster tail pastries and it was over. The only debate was the flavor. We ordered two to take home for dessert. The Nutella and the gingerbread, both were amazing the next morning, we were still stuffed from dinner. Gingerbread was my favorite but probably seasonal. Service - Spot on. You walk the line and they take your order. Food is placed by the cashier and you pay. Lots of great pastries and desserts to choose from. They have a gelato bar AND a cannoli bar. Plus, some other great Italian pastries. All super light and flaky, the cannoli shells were crunchy, not soggy like some other places. Very good! The Tiramisu was excellent. Great spot to box up some sweets to go. Or stay and have some cafe and something sweet. read more

I love this little bakery and market. It's a part of the Sicilian Butcher and is a nice stop after you finish dinner or if you are in the area and craving dessert. The Sicilian Baker is a takeout only Italian pastry shop that has house-made pastries, gelato and a cannoli bar. For the cannoli bar, you have a choice of four different sizes for the outside shell. They have close to a dozen flavors of creamy ricotta filling to choose from. Sicilian Bakery has quite a variety of desserts and sells Italian classics like tiramisu, cassatina, napoleon and éclairs. If you are not wanting something sweet, they have savory treats like pizzette and arancini. In addition to desserts, Sicilian Bakery is also a mini marketplace. They sell house-made sauces, pasta, meats and sausages. You can also grab a couple cooking utensils and the popular Phoenix Cooks recipe book featuring Chef Joey Maggiore. If you are a coffee lover like me, they have a large espresso machine and make a variety of specialty coffee drinks. While you are waiting for your order, make sure you look up and see the cool rolling pins hanging from the ceiling. read more

COOKIE BUTTER CREAM. The best flavor by far!! This spot is amazing and so worth the drive! It's conveniently right next to their brother, the arrogant butcher by the chandler mall. Half of a business is their staff and the ladies who work here are spectacular and so friendly. I was allowed to sample as many flavors as I wanted before deciding. Some of the flavors seemed odd to me like orange cream and strawberry. The Nutella was light & smooth and the chocolate good. But I had to go with the tried & true signature cream with chocolate chips and the COOKIE BUTTER. Yummmmm My rating did lose a star because almost $8 for a single cannoli was a bit steep for me. It was delicious but damn pricey. I'd still recommend this place hands down! read more

Siciliy Fact: The Italian Mafia originated in the mid-19th century to protect the orange and lemon estates surrounding the city of Palermo. That citrus is gold. After a satisfying dinner at The Sicilian Butcher, we wanted some dessert. The last time I was at The Sicilian Butcher, I ordered the tiramisu off the menu and totally neglected walking over to browse The Sicilian Baker. This time around, we ordered some Pesche con Crema, mini cannolis, and some coffee to enjoy al fresco! I thought the mini cannolis were pretty good and the Pesche con Crema had a delicious filling. I didn't like how dense and hard the exterior was for the Pesche con Crema though. Perhaps it was because it was around 9 PM by the time we ordered these peach-shaped beauties but they definitely felt like they had been sitting around for a few. Oh well. All in all, The Sicilian Baker is good! It's no tiramisu from The Sicilian Butcher but I appreciate the selection of goodies they had. I was eyeing those Italian wedding cookies for sure! read more
Rub-a-dub-dub, Two Yelpers wanting grub, And where do you think they be? The Sicilian Butcher, The Sicilian Baker (but no candlestick maker) And both of them eating with glee. Coffee, sweets, and everything good to eat! I came here on a mission to get something from their cannoli bar. That's right, this is the only place so far where you can build your own cannoli! You have your choice of sizes, any coatings (such as white chocolate or pistachio coated), and filling. Note that you can even have two fillings for one cannoli. I went with a regular size plain cannoli with lemon filling and a pistachio-chocolate coated cannoli with strawberry filling. After spying all those delectable looking treats in the glass cases I knew I had to have a sample of those too so I got a box of Sicilian cookies and a rum baba. The cannoli shells were dense with a texture similar to a waffle cone. The filling was plentiful and out of the two flavors I enjoyed the lemon a little more than the strawberry. I've only had one other rum baba so far and out of the two I preferred this one more for its airy texture and light rum soaked flavor. Out of all the cookies my favorite were the amaretti for the perfect amount of sweetness and slight chew to them. Service was slightly chaotic as I was ignored by the one cashier I was standing right in front of, who then went to help a random customer who had just walked in. The other cashier was a lot friendlier anyways so it was probably for the best. There are so many different varieties of sweets here it's going to be my goal to try as many as I can! If you're looking for an Italian food gift this is a great option too since the boxes are a sleek and lovely gold color. read more
Was unable to fall asleep serenely last night. Could not stop thinking about the Italian wedding cookies Miss Joyce bought me. She knew I was feeling despondent and glum. So after telling everyone about my depression, she decided to cheer me up with my childhood joy. Thank you Miss Joyce! After having a horrifically humungous delicious dinner next door at The Sicilian Butcher, we moseyed on over to their bakery next door. Winner winner but without the chicken dinner. Allow me to tell you it was FAVOLOSO! Every kind of carb you could shake a stick at! Plus Gelato, a Coffee bar, and a "build your own Cannoli" to indulge in every way! Well almost. They abound with choices. Nice We tried the Pesche con Crema (peaches with cream) which were slightly dense but good. Next time I'll dip them in rum for a good kick! We also had the mini cannoli's which size-wise were perfect as the aforementioned large meal left us slightly comatose. Add to all this a coffee and Perfetto! Although they had indoor seating (a few tables) we opted to sit outside (plenty of tables) and enjoy the brisk cool evening air. Suddenly, Miss Joyce was missing for a few minutes and returned with my cookie treats! Did I say thank you? Thank you! So awoke early this morning (10:30am per usual) and flew downstairs to try the cookies. How good and authentic were they? Brought back childhood memories of every darn wedding I disrupted when young (till 23 yo) AND the scoldings as I grinned away. Please try them, you'll cause mayhem. The cannoli is on a whole other level. I did not think Arizona was an Italian hub but the Sicilian Baker beats all odds. A group of locals recommended this place after they overheard my fiancé looking for European bakeries (I was craving it, don't ask). We decided to try a few flavors, so we went with the 6 pack. It's a bit expensive but trust me it's worth every penny. The filling flavors are out of this world, but the lemon flavor is seriously addictive. The shell itself is crispy, sweet and very flavorful. The original filling was a bit disappointing but still good nonetheless. If you are in Chandler area or just visiting AZ, I highly recommend you try this place. read more

I have yet to actually eat food at The Sicilian Baker, but I popped in to the bakery side for cannolis after lunch. I visited the Phoenix location previously after dinner with friends at Tomaso's, and kept telling my boyfriend how great the cannolis were! We lived in the area for over 2 years, so imagine my disappointment when this location opened AFTER we moved! In any event, we picked up a 6 pack of cannolis to bring home: 1 lemon, 1 strawberry, 1 cookies and cream, 1 cookie butter and 2 classic. While I think all of them are delicious (especially the strawberry), the lemon is my absolute favorite. It's the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and I wish I had more of that flavor! We will be going back soon to actually eat lunch here followed by cannolis for dessert. I can't wait to update my review once I've tried the food! read more

Tried to take my parents back to Hash kitchen but we were too hungry to wait Decided to try this place for the first time- same owners apparently! This place did not disappoint!! We started off with the charcuterie board - it was fresh, beautiful, and huge! I ordered the Aperol Spritz and it was so pretty!!!! For our main entrees we all pretty much got the meatballs in a pasta which is their specialty. Wow these meat balls are amazing!!!! My husband got one with the truffle sauce and his was my favorite! I've dined at the Sicilian Butcher before but I wanted to return one day and just have my own experience in the bakery. At first it may feel overwhelming to some because there are just so many delicious options to choose from! You have gelato, cannoli, pastries, etc. and it makes you want to order one of each. Since I was having trouble deciding on what to order, I just got a cup of gelato and traditional cannoli which both tasted amazing! It's hard to say which treat was better but I highly suggest anyone that visits to make room in their belly for both. read more

I had such high hopes for this place that I purchased gift cards. First, the restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, the service is good but food was another story. I had a salad with meatballs. I wanted the chicken parmigiana meatballs but at lunchtime on a Sunday they were out. I ended up getting the sausage and eggplant, they were luke warm at best and tasted awful. The salad was a bit of a sloppy mess. My husband didn't like his meatballs or his luke warm pasta. Since I have gift cards leftover we will need to go back, hopefully it will be the experience I was hoping for initially. read more

We just came in for dessert. I'd been told about this place by a friend. Omg, it's amazing. I mean if you're into cannoli. They have gelato and other pastries but it's all about the cannoli here. It's like the 31 Flavors of cannoli, with custom shells. You need this in your life if you have an ounce of Italian blood in you. Trust me. I had to come back in and update my review because when I posted this photo, I hadn't tasted the peach cookie (posted here). I didn't get a picture of it before I took it apart, but they are absolutely adorable. They look just like little peaches, complete with little green leaves. And if you like peach flavored items, Madonna Mia, I know I raved about the cannoli but this is almost just as good. It's soaked in peach liqueur and has peach ricotta cream in the middle of a shortbread cookie. I'm drooling while I write this thinking about it. Their espresso was fantastic too. Had sweets and coffee here after having lunch at The Sicilian Butcher. Wanted to try the Honey Nut Macchiato, but after a calorific lunch with a Mediterranean Mule to boot, I figured a dark roast drip to pair with sugared treats would be the way to go. I arrived a few minutes early for lunch so that I could have a look at the sweet treats and ask my usual questions pertaining to my corn allergy. All of the cannoli creams are made with powdered sugar that contains cornstarch, so they're off-limits for me, but I didn't fret, because there were so many other enticing options to choose from! While my total bakery order, with drip coffee, came to just over $26, excluding tip, I was only able to have about a fourth of the Napoleon and a bite of Karen's Rum baba. The "dark caffe" drip coffee paired well with the sweet bites. While I enjoyed my confectionary nips (Nap and rum baba), I wouldn't order them again, as I like a little more complexity in my dessert flavors. Then again, I may have consumed enough calories during lunch that I could've gone without dessert. My over - indulgent (food) days ended WAY before my mid - twenties, and I'm one of those people who won't take a bite of anything, even if to taste, once I've taken my last bite of a meal. So perhaps I shouldn't say I'd never order the Napoleon or the rum baba until I've given them one more try. Looking forward to trying bites of the Pesche con crema and Hazelnut cake tonight! P.S. The Pesche con crema was delicious! Had half of one, and I loved that the cream filling wasn't very sweet. The cake had a shortbread flavor and feel to it- the texture was between shortbread and ladyfinger cookies and cake donut, without the greasy flavor of donut! I'd order these mini-cakes again! The Taralucci (lemon cookie) had a lemon shortbread flavor- very light in density. Would pair well with black coffee, or any other kind of coffee you prefer. I wouldn't try it with a flavored coffee, though, since the flavoring syrup would compete with the lemon in the cookie... The Hazelnut Chocolate Cake is bar none the best hazelnut chocolate cake I've ever experienced! Bites of alternating, heavenly layers of moist devil's food cake, hazelnut filling, and delectable dark chocolate coating have sent me to the moon and back, and I haven't even had bites of the hazelnut pieces on top! Not a hyperbole when I say this cake is better-than-you-know-what! I'd definitely return with a friend, or three, and enjoy with coffee. We went to Sicilian Butcher for dinner and within the same building next to the waiting area for Butcher is the Sicilian Baker. Small little place with cases full of Italian desserts. So we had a choice after dinner for dessert either Butcher or Baker. Not even close. Butcher has a few items but Baker has it all. So we had to try the customized cannoli. They have mini but it's very limited in what they can fill with. So we got the normal cannoli and you can fill with multiple flavors. I got pistachio and white fig. My daughter and my son-in-law got theirs too but can't remember what they got off the top of my head. I liked the pistachio but really liked the white fig a lot. I'm telling you. You got to try these cannoli's. So good. Only problem with this place is that it's basically a to go type of place. There is only about three or four tables inside wiith a few outside. The cannoli is fabulous. It's just a small little place. Order, pay, and enjoy. Just wished you can order these desserts at Sicilian Butcher too but that's okay. Enjoy we sure did. read more
