The service is over the top here with super high energy and no one sneaks in the door without a good morning holler - even from the kitchen. The servings are lumberjack-sized - if you leave hungry, it's probably because you shared your plate with three people instead of two :). While plenty of food, there was a funk to my sausage gravy that I couldn't place - maybe a spice or something that I didn't really care for. Stayed a week in La Conner and had breakfast at Sliders twice. First and second experiences were very good. Wait staff is attentive and kept out coffee flowing as we waited for breakfast to be cooked. It's a bit slow to get meal after ordering but worth it. I ordered the corn beef has and they said it would take 25 minutes as they needed more time to cook the corn beef. Worth the wait. One of the best corn beef hash I had in long time. I tried another nearby place for the same order and Sliders' recipe was by far the best. Second morning was the egg slider sandwich with sausage. Great small meal. I would order again for breakfast on the run. Took a while to get served after ordering, and after 3. Cups of coffee I was ready for food. A fine example of the sort of restaurant you find in small towns. Friendly staff who obviously know the regulars well enough have their "usual" down, and who are welcoming to strangers as well. I stopped by for lunch and enjoyed the grilled chicken sliders with house made fries. The sliders are small (as a slider should be) and the sides generous. They have a nice selection of homemade desserts for those so inclined. Breakfast anytime as well. Worth a stop if you are in the area! read more

Had to drop a star. They weren't that busy and the waitress forgot our pancakes. Wife's food was okay, not as good as her hash last time. I had the steak and eggs with the loaded hash browns. The GOOD: Fries, chili cheese dog (all beef), and the biscuits & gravy were all very good. Great customer service!!! The BAD: The worse vanilla milkshake ever! It was extremely thin (like milk) and had a weird after-taste. The pancakes were really undercooked--which we knew just by looking at them. The taste only confirmed what we already knew... The "loaded" hashbrowns had sour cream and green onions piled on top (not cooked inside of the hashbrowns). I took only one bite...not good at all. We had breakfast on Sunday 2/26/23. We were warmly greeted by the happy owners and employees. The service and food were both amazing! The loaded hashbrowns are the the best ever! First I want to say that our server, Kim, was an absolute delight!! She was attentive (despite being the only server working), got us everything we asked for and more, kept up her amazing and contagious attitude and even made time to talk to our 2 year old who never stopped trying to get her attention. She literally bounced around like a ping pong ball the whole time we were there and her smile never faltered! This was our first time here so we had no idea what to expect. We arrived and immediately Kim greeted us and let us know we could be seated immediately, however, it would be about an hour wait for our food. She said it would be worth the wait so we decided to stay and she was absolutely right! Despite letting us know it would take a while for our food, she immediately took our toddlers order and had the kitchen rush it and got it out almost immediately so he wouldn't get cranky! We've never been anywhere else who's ever done that for us before so we were already happy. We ordered our food and while we did wait a bit (although probably not even a full hour), the food was piping hot and absolutely amazing! The pancakes were sweet and fluffy, hash browns were perfectly crisped and my husband's sunny side up eggs literally looked like something out of a magazine. The food overall was more than worth the wait and worth the 35 minute drive it took us to get there! The cafe itself it's very homey and inviting. It's kind of what you'd expect from a small town cafe, the one thing that sets it apart is the amazing staff! From the bussers to our server Kim to even the kitchen staff. Everyone was so welcoming and treated you like family! Also whoever is running the music for the place has great taste! The one and only thing I will say is the coffee could definitely be stronger, but I am a coffee snob so it's probably totally just me! All in all we will absolutely be back and honestly if the place was closer to us I would try to sneak in daily! They where rude, food made us sick and we where lied to about our order and then over charged. Pretty sure all this would have been avoided but we where not white enough for them. Very obnoxious waiter acted like he was on drugs the whole time. kept yelling and startling us. When asked, cook said they were out. Check was wrong. Had them correct it. My husband and I normally eat at Slider Cafe at least three times a week, and always enjoy our visit! The staff is amazing and treats you like family. My favorite breakfast is their Eggs Benedict! Their soups are made from scratch and never disappoint! I can't even pick a favorite soup, because they are all so good! The fish and chips, turkey club, and French dip, are also some of my favorites! If there is ever a problem with our order, we let them know, and it gets corrected. After reading some of the "bad" comments, I felt I needed to let people know that the staff IS NOT racist! I have watched them wait on everyone and many different cultures with the same respect to all! Pat, the owner and one of the cooks, is the nicest guy and I love that he will hire staff with disabilities, that other places of business will not hire. And he treats his staff like his own family! What a gem! Huge menu including breakfast and lunch items, with many options including sliders, salads, soup, sandwiches, pancakes, omelettes, and more! Took the mom out to lunch and we split the sriracha sliders and the Slider Salad (much like a Cobb Salad). They have about 12 varieties of sliders; You can pick one kind which comes with two sliders and a side -fresh made fries, pasta salad, coleslaw, bbq beans- or you can even pick a Trio where you pick one each of the slider flavours if you can't make up your mind! Usually if I'm splitting two entrees, I have no expectation of the kitchen to split it, just bring the plates and we'll divy it up at the table. They actually split the plates for us, gave us each one slider, some salad, a little pasta salad and a slice of garlic bread (don't miss the garlic bread! I could've eaten twelve pieces lol). Passed by for lunch while in town for the Tulip Festival. You definitely get the small town vibes being here, so great. We ordered the slider trio to get a taste for the different sliders they have on the menu, great selection. The food tasted great and came out nice and hot. Fries were crispy and salted perfectly. I would definitely recommend ordering an appetizer, because after roaming the tulips fields all day 3 sliders and some fries left us wanting for more. Unfortunately, they were short on staff that day and it definitely showed. Our drinks never got a refill, only until our waiter came to take our plates away did he notice they were empty.
